Hi, as you may know, April 4 is the World Rat Day, and RAT MEMORY is celebrating it with a very important update.
First of all, you can get the game 80% off for a few days.
Now the patch notes of this patch, RAT MEMORY 1.2., that brings the following:
New content:
The game supports multiple saves now!
You can delete and duplicate save games easily! You don't need to search the save game location anymore. Except if you want to keep using your existing save:
If you don't want to start a new game, you can go to your library on Steam, select properties, go to betas and old versions and select the option old_saves. This way, you can keep playing with your save. Now, go to the save file folder on C:\\Users\\YOURNAME\\AppData\\Local\\RATMEMORY\\Saved\\SaveGames .
If you already opened the game in the new version, you should have a file named "GameSettings_old" backup it and rename to "GameSettings". If you have name extensions activated, do not remove the ".sav".
If you didn't open the new version, just open the folder above and check if you have a file called "GameSettings". If so, just download the old version and keep playing.
Fixes and changes:
some adjustment when resetting the camera
fixed again cardboards when quick-restarting a level.
I guess this is the end for RAT MEMORY, now I'll start working in a new game, hopefully launching already this year. See you soon!

Hi, as you may know, RAT MEMORY exited early access in January 28,2025.
First of all, you can get the game 70% off for a few more days.
Now the patch notes of this small patch, RAT MEMORY 1.1.4., that brings the following:
Fixes:
Night 4: changed an obstacle position, vegetation and the glass textures and I also fixed the water;
fixed sound overlap when interacting with a rat;
Improved optimization on a character;
now you can exit the note and new ability screens with exit buttons;
fixed day 5 level ending;
fixed a possible bug when exiting some levels after completing it;
updated credits year.
I'm still working on the multiple save games system, so I couldn't upload it for now. I hope to release it in a few days!
Also, RAT MEMORY is participating of the Made in Brazil sale on Steam, an event sale that celebrates Brazilian games! Please check it out from February 13 to February 17.

Level selection: After completing the game, you can choose a level to play again. This is useful to get missing achievements, find secrets or speedrun the game;
Added an achievement for collecting all coins in night 4 level.
Added a new camera angle in main menu.
Fixes:

Character doesn’t move anymore by pressing the “move backward” button in 2d levels to prevent a bug;
Fixed a bug with brick walls when quick-restarting a level.
Changes:

Removed specific actions from the “default controls” section in some levels;
Edited credits screen.

Hi, as you may know, RAT MEMORY exited early access in the end of January. This is the second patch, RAT MEMORY 1.0.2., and brings the following: New content:

Nothing new, only fixes and changes
Fixes:

Fixed a softlock when pausing during the fade screen in the first level.
Fixed a bug in which you had to collect more coins if you bought skins.
End screen of some levels don't show the number of collected coins anymore.
Time on screen is shown better.
Changes:

Added some new obstacles and props and a new checkpoint to the labyrinth level. It also works as a better tutorial of the game mechanics.
Changed the change skin box in the first night level to help first-time players.

Added ACHIEVEMENTS! (unfortunately they don’t work in old saves) 18 achievements to unlock, by playing, griding and finding secrets.
Fixes:

Fixed some translations;
Fixed a bug when falling from level during night levels;
Fixed character being able to swim before unlocking it;
Fixed a possible softlock during the last level.
Changes:

Changed the initial rotation of the character during the last level;
Added some platforms to the labyrinth to help the unlock the achievement related to it.

Added a total time played screen when finishing a level. Now you can make a page for RAT MEMORY on howlongtobeat.
Fixes:

Fixed some lines appearing on cardboards.
Now you can finish day levels early if you have enough coins (probably).
Fixed some bugs that prevented the progression of the game.
Fixed respawn trigger in level 9.
Finally I totally fixed cardboard not resetting when restarting the level. (~~please~~)
As all quality of life features and most important bug fixes are now implemented in the game, I'm working in the final version - the full game - so the next updates should come less often, with just small content updates and/or bug fixes as I'm now adding a new important collectible and the other things related to the story mode.

Added more respawn points when the rat doesn't know how to swim;
Edited level structure, so some levels appear before or after than update 0.9.5: Now the last level is the demo 2 level.
Overhauled Level 11 (was 10 before) - the level above: Edited coin distribution; Removed swimming ability to accomodate the story I'm planning.
Fixes:

Fixed some bugs that prevented (or helped) the progression or softlocked the game.
I hope I finally fixed cardboard not resetting when restarting the level.

Added an intro cutscene on second level (Night 1) showing the path you should take.
Added a no checkpoints mode, that disables checkpoints - so please don't fall or you will have to run all the level again. Available in the settings menu > control.
Changes:

Second level (Night 1) is easier - I changed the size of a platform.
Changed the X button to Youtube as X is now banned in my country.
