Introducing, Gun Mastery!

Ever wished you could unlock free skins for your favorite weapons by using them a lot and completing challenges with kills, headshots, revenge kills, long shots, or double kills? Your wish has been granted with the new Gun Mastery system.

Every single gun in the game, now has a Gun Mastery track to progress through with challenges that become harder the further you progress through the tiers. When completing all challenges for a tier, you will receive the corresponding skin, plus players will receive XP for any completed challenges.

Will you be the first to complete all the gun mastery tiers for every weapon in the entire game?

A Caked Up Kill Feed!

The in-game kill feed is getting some new additions. It will now display long shots kills, multikills that happen in quick succession, or revenge kills when killing a player that has killed you prior.

And More!

Additionally, the Breachers' weapon arsenal has never looked better. We’ve upgraded the weapon shaders to be a bit more reactive in terms of the environment they’re in. Plus, we’ve also added various fixes and networking improvements to make your overall game experience better.

This time around, we focused on expanding what players can do with custom game settings and lifted them up to a whole new level, alongside a new map.

Custom Game Settings: To Infinity and Beyond!

In Breachers, players have long been able to start and operate private, custom lobbies. However, the options players had of those servers, were rather limited. Not anymore.

We’ve expanded the Custom Game Settings in such a way that players can tailor their Breachers experience to their liking. The lobby leader will be able to decide which maps to play, which weapons to play with, and fiddle around with things like movement speed, proximity chat, round times, dual wielding, player health, and much more. Essentially, players will be able to create their own gamemodes and play styles on the maps you know and love.

Ze also added four custom game presets to show players what's possible: One in the Chamber, Paintball, Syringe Fight, and Control Point Race. Find a combo you like? Players can also create and save their own presets!

New Map | Headquarters

Have you ever wondered what the ground level of the main menu building would look like? Visit the entrance floor of ESTF’s headquarters on this brand-new map. We wanted players to have a new environment to test these new custom game settings out on, so we made a new map that is only available in Custom Lobbies and all modes except Bomb Defusal.

Credits for Weekly Challenges

From now on, the Weekly Challenges will no longer give players XP, they'll be granting players a small amount of credits to buy skins with instead!

The Enforcer’s drone gets a rework, grenades receive significant changes, pings have range indicators now, door blockers can go onto hatches, and much more. Welcome to a new update for Breachers!

Re-introducing, the Drone!

Not only did it get a new lick of paint, this update brings major improvements to the drone, making it both more powerful and more intuitive to use in the field. For instance, Enforcers can now detonate the drone by holding down both grips, perfect for clearing Revolter gadgets like trips, proximity sensors, statics, and even door blockers.

It doesn’t end there, though. To sharpen the drone’s role as a scout, it can now automatically ping enemies at their feet when spotted, and its movement has been smoothed out for more precise control. These changes make the drone a more versatile ally, whether you’re gathering intel or pushing the fight forward.

Grenade Changes!

Alongside the drone changes, we’re also tackling the grenades. Frag grenades now feature a beeping buildup, giving both thrower and target clearer feedback in the heat of combat. In the Death Recap, a grenade trail has been added so you can better track what went wrong in explosive encounters.

Smoke grenades now serve a dual purpose, as they’re now capable of extinguishing incendiaries to help regain control over contested or blocked off areas. And to top things off, they will also be lasting a bit longer, too.

Finally, flash grenades have received a slight nerf where they’ll be less effective when looking away from them. These changes ensure grenades are more effective, more readable, more fair, and/or more fun to use than ever.

Competitive Change Ahead of Season 6

Ahead of Season 6 of our Competitive mode, we added a rank disparity lock for queuing. Effectively, this means that Diamond players and up will only be able to queue with others within a one rank difference. This will help the matchmaker be more balanced, and prevent players getting boosted by others.

Hellfire: Forged in the Ninth Circle of Hell

Turn any objective site into a pile of ash with the Hellfire Bundle that burns brighter while shooting and reloading, a blazing bunch of weapons forged in the ninth circle of hell. Available TODAY!

These weapon skins bring the heat to any fight, draped in basalt rock with red-hot lava between the seams. In short, a DLC bundle that looks like you pulled it straight out of an active volcano. The skins are fully decked out with fiery muzzle flashes, scorching hellish sounds, and flammable designs.

Flashbang Rework Update! - v30.0

Our Enforcer Flashbang grenades have gotten a rework! From letting players know which enemies are flashed (visually and through sound), slowing flashed enemies, to an increased effective flash duration, and more. We’ve also included Cyclone, Canutt, and Urakan balancing changes!

Re-introducing, the Flashbang Grenade!

We’ve gathered a bunch of community feedback to make the flashbang grenade a more effective and reliable tool in the Enforcer’s toolbox. Firstly, when buying a flashbang, you will now receive two instead of one, adding a bit more viability as you can get two uses out of it as opposed to before.

Secondly, we’ve made flashing enemies more reliable, flashing allies less punishing, while also making sure players now move slower when flashed.

Thirdly, we’re also visualizing when players are flashed, alongside a sound cue to let you and your teammates know whether you can make the devastating entrance you had planned.

Last but not least, we added a collection of smaller quality of life features like adding an assist for when a teammate kills an enemy you flashed, better throwing for throwables, or the environment lighting up as a flashbang grenade goes off!

New Comfort Setting!

To spare players' eyeballs, we’ve also added a new setting in the comfort tab of the in-game options that inverts the flash color. Instead of being graced by a bright white light when getting hit by a flashbang, enabling that option will shroud everything in pitch-blackness instead.

Balancing Changes!

With the nature of this update, we’d be remiss if we didn’t add a handful of balancing changes to some of the weapons in the game.

Cyclone base damage increased by 25%,
Cyclone headshot multiplier reduced from 3x to 2.25x
Canutt damage falloff increased by 10%
Urakan spread reduced by 20%

Glove skins are finally here with a first batch of nine skins! However…they’re not alone. In this new update we’re also introducing you to animated charms, loading screen tips and facts, and we made the necessary preparations for Season 4 of our Competitive mode, where you’ll be fighting for a gorgeous Marui skin!

As always, we also took some time to squash bugs, and included a variety of map fixes ahead of the new season.

You’re Going to Glove it!

Glove skins were a much-requested feature from the community, with over a hundred upvotes on the Discord suggestion. It took some time and optimization, but they’re here! The first batch of nine glove skins are now available in the in-game store, ready for you to buy and don!

Introducing: Animated Charms!

With this update, we’re also expanding our line-up of charms. Decorate your guns with the new Monkey, Toilet, UFO, and Easter Bunny charms, OR go for the new animated charms with the 8-ball and Slot Machine charms!

Welcome to Loading Screen Tips & Facts!

Another popular community suggestion was to add tips for playing the game, and tidbits of lore to the loading screens, and that’s exactly what we did! Whenever you’re in a loading screen, you’ll now get to see a tip regarding how to play the game, how to do certain things the tutorial doesn’t dive into, or a line or two regarding the lore behind Breachers!

Competitive Season 4 Preparations!

A couple of things will change for Season 4 of Competitive. Firstly, the minimum required level to play Competitive will be raised to Level 20 instead of 10, to make sure players know the game a bit more before diving into comp. Secondly, we’re disabling the canceling game feature as there are still people abusing the feature. We’ve seen many requests for the feature to be removed, so we’ll be disabling it to see how that impacts the mode as a whole. Thirdly, plenty of map fixes have also been executed, for a full list, check the changelog in our official Discord.

And last but not least, in Season 4, you’ll be battling for this gorgeous Marui skin with glow animations! Competitive Season 4 starts April 24th!

Not only did we announce our new game, Forefront, during the VR Games Showcase, we also showed off the first of many new gadgets for Breachers! Even better? That new gadget is AVAILABLE NOW in the game!

Getting new gadgets is something the community has been vocal about for quite some time now. This new update finally brings both Enforcers and Revolters a new toy to play with. But that’s not all. We’re also bringing players brand-new “round over” messages, a much-needed balancing change to incendiary grenades, and a collection of bug fixes and improvements.

Introducing: the Clone Projector!

Trick enemies into thinking you are positioned in places you aren’t, make the enemy reveal their position by shooting at something that only looks like you but isn’t, or make them think you’re planting the EMP. With the Clone Projector, players can place a holographic copy of themselves on various flat surfaces. Upon placing the gadget, a countdown will start for the projector to confirm the pose you want your clone to take (with which you can get creative). Bullets travel through the clone, making it glitch out, but it will stay active until the base of the gadget is destroyed.

It’s an incredibly versatile gadget, and we’re beyond excited to see what strategies our players will come up with!

Team Ace, Clutch, Flawless, and Thrifty!

Something else the community has suggested was to expand on the messages that show up at the end of rounds. Previously, we only had “Round Won”, “Round Lost“, and “Ace“. With multiple ideas receiving plenty of upvotes in our Discord, we’ve expanded on these messages:

Team Ace: Your team wins the round with one kill on each player's name.
Clutch: Win the round after at least a 1v2.
Flawless: Your team wins the round without anyone dying.
Thrifty: Your team wins the round with a total loadout value that is 50% or lower than the total loadout value of the enemies.

Balancing: Incendiary Grenade!

Since we reworked the Incendiary Grenade to be more effective in its spreading, it has become a popular choice for player’s loadouts. However, while the rework was necessary, it has now also become quite powerful. This is why the time an Incendiary Grenade burns has been decreased from 15 seconds to 10 seconds. We considered also lowering the damage, but that would ultimately have been too much of a nerf.

The Holidays are approaching, and we want to close out the year with a bang! This update is a juicy one, and we have tons to cover. Not only are we introducing a brand-new map called, Mall, we also added weapon challenges, level prestige, a huge balancing overhaul, and last but not least, gun charms!

Introducing, our new map, Mall!

Mall is a map that offers players more verticality, and tons of opportunities to go about their rounds. After their initial hideout was dismantled by the ESTF's Enforcers, the Revolters regrouped and rose from the ashes, turning an abandoned mall on the desolate city outskirts into their ultimate headquarters. The mall quickly became the beating heart of the Revolter operation—complete with a black market, a gun range, not to mention their hacker den. And with an armory stocked to the brim and an interrogation room for extracting secrets, this headquarters isn’t just a base; it’s a declaration of defiance.

The Revolters are back—bigger, better, and stronger than ever. But can they defend their home, or will the Enforcers finally be able to extinguish their flame forever?

We’re super excited about our players getting to know this map, as it might be one of our favorites. You can find a full overview of the map blueprints on our site, HERE.

Say Hello to Gun Charms!

Gun charms are a new way to decorate your weaponry, and make your guns your own! You can unlock gun charms by completing weapon challenges. Or if you’re feeling fancy, you can head to the in-game store and buy “Fun Charms”, these are gun charms that feature unique sounds that can be triggered, complete with quirky designs.

Complete our new Weapon Challenges!

You asked for it, and they are finally here! Weapon Challenges will help you unlock more XP, and even gun charms to further personalize your arsenal. Every gun you can get from the buy menu will have challenges attached to them. Complete them all to maximize your XP output, and unlock gun charms; bronze, silver, and gold miniature versions of the weapons.

Keep Levelling Up: Prestige!

Rest in peace to the old max level, for it is no more! With the weapon challenges giving you additional XP for your efforts, we wanted to make sure everyone could benefit from it, including our max level players. So, those max level players, will no longer be max level! Players can now prestige, going through all the levels (and the attached rewards) again, again, again, and again.

A Huge Balancing Overhaul!

We've spent a few weeks refining and tweaking a hefty list of balancing changes, and we are thrilled to finally have these changes in your hands! The changes in question should make SMGs more attractive, the cloaking device less overpowered, and more. We’re eager to get your feedback on these changes!
