We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for helping us improve your gaming experience.
Bug under investigation
When you have enough knowledges to access "herding" weakness , you can't use pc action or reagant to chase the intruders back into vent and instead it got stuck.
Has been checked, works well, more tests are needed to encounter the issue that players report.
Fix intruder attack cards, e.g.: Blood Chase sometimes trigger, sometimes just don't, even if the attacked escaping player clearly has undressed Serious Wounds.
The code was checked, we did not find any rules that could cause the problem. More time and tests are needed.
Fix intruder attack cards, e.g.: Blood Chase sometimes trigger, sometimes just don't, even if the attacked escaping player clearly has undressed Serious Wounds.
Here, the problem was found, but the place where it can be fixed is quite sensitive and may interfere with many elements in the game. At least 2-3 days of testing are needed to see if it works well and doesn't break anything.
Important announcement
We've thoroughly analyzed all the crash reports you've submitted on Discord. Our findings revealed that these incidents were not crashes in the traditional sense but rather interruptions of the AWS spot instances on Steam. For clarity, spot instances are a cost-effective solution provided by AWS that allows us to bid on unused computing capacity at lower prices. However, the trade-off is that these instances can be reclaimed by AWS with very little notice, leading to the interruptions you've experienced. This approach has been vital in managing our budget constraints and continuing to deliver our game to you.
We recognize that many were not aware that these "crashes" were actually due to the termination of spot instances, a situation over which we, as the development team, have no control. Despite these challenges, we want to assure you that we're dedicated to improving how we communicate such incidents. With the latest update, we will introduce better notifications to inform players in real-time if their game session is at risk due to spot instance reclamation. Additionally, as a gesture of our appreciation for your understanding and to acknowledge the unique challenges posed by these interruptions, we're introducing a special achievement: "Apocalypse Survivor" This achievement is not only a token of the extraordinary circumstances you've endured but also assists us in collecting crucial data to further analyze and potentially mitigate the impact of such interruptions in the future.
Please understand that, given our current budgetary limitations, we do not have the capacity to reduce the frequency of these spot instance interruptions. However, we are committed to making your gaming experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible within these constraints. We're grateful for your patience and continued support as we navigate these challenges together. Your feedback is invaluable, and we remain committed to transparent communication and improving the game based on your insights.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our gaming community.

Hello Crew,
Or should we say, 「こんにちは、クルー」or "Witaj, załogo". Today's news post, after all, is mostly about the newest additions to Nemesis: Lockdown's localization database.
What we wanted to do is to highlight the recent big language additions to the game, as well as mention a brand new one - Japanese!
New translations
Recently, as you may already know, we implemented 4 new language options to the game: Chinese, German, French and Polish. Today, we're adding Japanese to the list. This makes the already impressive number of options even more so and we hope you enjoy playing the game in your native language!
Here's how the previous localization additions look in-game:
And here's the newest translation - Japanese:
What's even more awesome, is that the entire Japanese translation work has been done by 3 of the game's Japanese fans. These are:
Naoki Koike
Daisaku Uchida
Tomato Juice
Thank you all so much for volounteering to do this and doing such an amazing job with the translation! It means the world to us that there's such a dedicated fanbase.
Bugfixes - patch 1.0.0.6
Other than that, for this patch, we also managed to fix some minor bugs based on the reports by the translation team, as well as other players.
Recent changes
As a reminder, here's some cool stuff that's been added in the previous, June patch:
Updated ranking system
Added the Seasons system
Added the visual timeline
Updated animations
We've also started a mailing list! If you’d like to stay in touch with all our latest updates and info on all of our future projects, be sure to sign up!

Hi Crew,
This is a crucial transmission. The newest update for Nemesis: Lockdown features a cargo full of new additions. Read on for a detailed description accompanied by graphic assets or scroll down to see a summary of this update.
New Languages
Surviving isn't easy when you're on a space station filled with aliens crawling about, we know that. That's why with this patch, our main goal is to bring more survivors on board! In order to do so, we've added 4 new languages to the game! These are:
Chinese
German
Polish
French
Updated ranking system and seasons
All recruits, both new and old, are in for a threat as well, because we've prepared an overhauled ranking system, which will be governed by seasons going forward. Each season will last one month and to make it easier to follow, we've also added a graphical representation in the form of a timeline. We feel that with this addition, the challenge of getting to the top of the rankings will be a one that's more demanding, but also more rewarding. Here's how the new system looks in the game:
Updated animations
We thought that some of the animations were in need of a slight rework, and there are 2 in particular that we've reworked in this patch. These are: - the vivisection animation - the contamination card scanning animation Here's a look at the first one - look how satisfying it now is to fire a laser on an unsuspecting intruder:
Patch summary
Here's a TLDR version for all of you who prefer getting straight to the point:

All the doors are closed and you’re still here… doing your best to stay alive. The time for the final test has come, survivors. We’re extremely EXCITED and proud to invite all of you to join!
Gather your team, come up with a plan and start your survival attempts in the final version of Nemesis: Lockdown NOW!
Those six months of Early Access were a time full of challenges, effort, hard work and... countless cups of coffee. You, on the other hand, shared your ideas, thoughts and support during this entire journey.
For that, we owe you a giant THANK YOU!
If you’ve enjoyed the game so far and would like to help us out just a tiny bit more - please leave a review on Steam. It really means a lot and gives us that extra punch of motivation!
Before you start your new adventures on the Martian base, check out the brand new launch trailer we've prepared:
First and foremost - the game is now much more accessible, approachable and offers clear explanations for new players. The main goal of Early Access was to lower the entry threshold as much as possible. We’ve put a lot of effort into this area and we believe we've achieved what we’ve set out to do.
Other changes in a VERY concise form:
Upgraded visuals and audio effects (over 400 visual changes!)
Mini Scenario with cinematic cutscenes
Polished UI and UX in pretty much every area (over 600 improvements!)
New and improved social functions
Numerous bug fixes
Improved game stability & performance
To find out more - please see our previous update. Also, a detailed changelog of all Early Access improvements can be found in the game’s Main Menu.
What’s next?
Remember: even though this is the full version release, it definitely doesn’t mean that we will stop supporting the title!
Right after launch, we’re going to start working on support for other Languages (Polish, German, French and Chinese, initially). The plan is to implement those sometime during the first few months of 2023.
In about a month from now, we’ll be ready to announce an entirely new Roadmap for the next half of the year - revised and prepared based on your feedback on the Full Release Version.
That’s all we wanted to share with you today. Once again, we’re so proud of the work we’ve done together during the Early Access period! We truly believe that you’ll find the changes we implemented satisfactory and that they’ll let you experience unforgettable moments on the Martian Base. Feel free to share your thoughts and feedback here, on the discussion forums and in the review section!
Have fun exploring and discovering all of the new stuff we prepared for you and good luck with your survival attempts!

Hey Everyone!
It’s been nearly half a year since we started our survival attempts on the Martian base in Nemesis Lockdown. Gosh… how time flies! From a developer perspective, it was a period full of challenges and lessons learned.!
Since the very beginning of Early Access, its main purpose was to make the title as approachable as possible for everyone. Achieving this, while maintaining the unique atmosphere of the board game counterpart, proved to be a real challenge. Despite that, we think we were able to make it happen and that is in no small part thanks to your feedback and support!
We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together over the last few months - today, we’re SUPER excited to show you the Lockdown we’ve all been waiting for!
Before we move to the main part of the update, check out the cinematic trailer for the game:
Now, it’s time for all the new fun stuff and changes we've prepared for the full release!
Basically, almost every element of the game has been changed or polished in one way or another. Our current EA players will find major or minor upgrades pretty much everywhere. As for the new players, we believe that thanks to these updates, they will find the game intuitive and easy to get into.
To avoid making this update being unnecessarily long, we'll describe what’s changed in a general manner. A detailed changelog will be posted in-game menu on release day and you’ll be able to access it from the main menu. We believe that (re)discovering the game can be pretty fun, but if you want to know all the details from the get go, you’ll be able to do so as well!
Let’s get started!
Fully-fledged tutorial with a mini scenario!
Yeah, that's correct - no more external videos to learn how to play the game!
Games from the Nemesis series are quite complex and unpredictable gameplay-wise. Executing actions, understanding the situation on the board, fulfilling objectives and surviving - all of this can potentially be quite hard to tackle for beginners. That's why we thought long and hard on how to improve the ease of entry and flatten the learning difficulty curve. The tutorial is the result.
Check out what we’ve prepared in 3 Special Scenarios below:
The first 2 work similar to a traditional video game tutorial sequence, in which - with a narrator’s help - you’ll learn the basics of the game.
The 3rd scenario is more like a playground with tailored Objectives - you’ll need to use all previously learned skills to get the job done and survive. You’ll be able to get to know Lockdown’s rules on your own here. This chapter has 2 difficulty modes:
To be completely honest with you, though - This is Nemesis, so you’ll be dying here, too! But no worries - dying in this kind of a tutorial is NOT a shame!! Every single attempt gives you new knowledge of the game’s mechanics. Completing this Scenario in Regular Mode with all Objectives accomplished is a truly satisfying experience!
Additionally, we’ve implemented a special Nemesis WIKI in the game for all those who would like to dig even deeper into the game’s mechanics. It explains every aspect of the game in detail and you can access it anytime during a session.
Even more of the unique Nemesis atmosphere!
Recreating the Nemesis atmosphere was no easy task! We put a lot of effort into every detail of the game's audio and visual aspects. Each room and event in the game now looks and sounds like a sci-fi horror experience should.
Here’s a quick look at some example stuff we implemented:
New character models for Janitor and Lab-rat. Other models were also given a visual update:
New and improved animations:
New object models and improved room decorations for some locations:
Important Game Events (e.g. Autodestruction) will now be significantly more prominent! (unique sounds and lighting changes)
New End-game Summary with cutscenes and some Event Phase corrections
Game Ending and Contingency resolving are crucial parts of each session and we felt that they were not presented in a clear enough manner. The full release provides a solution to this. Hopefully, the new summaries will clearly explain what happens at the very end of each session.
We also polished up the Event Phase UI, as it’s another crucial element in each survival attempt. All pieces of information about what happened at the end of each turn will now be easier to read and follow.
Cinematic cutscenes were also added at the end of each session - an additional reward for completing the game. We won’t spoil them for you - try to survive and discover them on your own!
Improved Readability and in-game information presentation
As the game conditions in Nemesis can change drastically even within the span of a single turn (you can actually die due to just one wrong decision), it’s crucial to understand what’s going on around you. To improve those aspects we made some corrections to the game's readability and status notifications. Here are a few of those:
New status system based on overhead pop-ups:
New hover system informing about wounds and exploration tokens in detail:
Polished UI, UX fixes and text revision
The UI got a lot better. There are adjustments and improvements all over the (digital) board that make Lockdown a more user friendly endeavour. All texts were proofread and the in-game naming has been unified.
Improved sections:
Tactical Map
Action Cards tab
Computer Cards tab
Intruder weakness tab
Contingency tab
New social functions, team communication and server improvements
Nemesis Lockdown shines its brightest in multiplayer, so the social aspect of the game is really important. Our team made a few improvements in this area, so you can get the best out of the multiplayer experience. Here’s what’s been added:
Private game servers with passwords
Possibility of adding your Steam friends and recently met players directly to your server
Friends list with easy access during the game
Servers filtering (waiting/in-game)
A better way of finding your disconnected games with option to rejoin
If the owner of the server leaves, the server will not be automatically closed now. The next player on the list becomes the owner instead
Improved voice chat with many customization functions
Steam Achievements - 38 in total to be unlocked at the moment!
Apart from everything above, we have added TONS of other small changes and bug fixes that our Early Access players might notice after version 1.0 arrives!
That is what we wanted to show you about the full release version for now. There’s lots more to be discovered and we want you to jump in and see for yourself what Nemesis: Lockdown has to offer. We hope you’ll have fun finding all the details and secrets!
We’ve also got something special for Early Access survivors! As a way of saying “thank you!” for your invaluable, ongoing support, you’ll be able to play the full version of the game ahead of everyone else. And by ahead, we mean NOW! Update the game on Steam and enjoy the improved Nemesis: Lockdown experience!
Trying to answer a few questions that might appear in your head in advance, we’ve prepared a list of some explanations:
“Will the Ladderboard be cleaned after Launch?” - Yes. Our current plan is to perform seasonal ladder resets - more about the topic will be announced in further updates. Current EA Top Players will of course be highlighted on the list. You’ve still got a few days until the wipe, so this is a great time to jump up on the leaderboard.
“What about localizations?” - the game will be translated into more languages in future updates (subtitle translation) - Polish, German, French, and Chinese will be implemented as the first ones.
“New game modes, solo campaigns - any plans for it?” - we definitely have some plans and concepts of how modes like hot-set, full-coop, or single-player campaigns could look and work. We also have more ideas in our minds… The EA phase was a tool to make an adaptation of - let's be honest here - a complex board game. Now that we have a solid base, the full release will define the future.
“New content in DLC? New alien races, characters, expansions, skins?” - we would love to make more DLCs - Chytrids or Carnomorphs for example. The plan is to support and expand this great franchise during upcoming years - but once again, the scale will be defined by demand.
“Solo-app from Nemesis Boardgame - will it be compatible with the digital game?” - We don’t have such plans for now.
“I’m only a solo player - is full release for me?” - Nemesis games always show their full potential and fun in Multiplayer games, and that doesn’t change with full release. Version 1.0 is enriched with a Mini Campaign Scenario - It’s not like a serious story campaign, but it will definitely provide you with some unforgettable moments and a few unique hours of gameplay. Completing the Scenario with all Objectives done is not a simple task! The single-player mode still ensures dozens of entertaining and challenging gameplay hours.
“I have an old PC, and the game looks quite nice. What about optimization?” - One of our priorities was to provide a game that almost every player can play and enjoy. The game has many graphics options which you can lower to your needs and PC capabilities. Check the game’s Minimum System Requirements for more details.
“What about a Road Map for future updates?” - We will make a revision of our current internal Road Map after the launch. Our next big goals will be shared with you probably within a month after release.
“I found an issue/bug in the game - where do I send it?” - Our Discord channel is probably the best way to do it (Invitation link: https://discord.gg/F6tBvUJD6j). Join to reach other players in the Nemesis: Lockdown Community. You can also use the in-game bug report form. The other way is to send an email to [email protected]
“I would like to check each and every change in the Full Release Changelog - where to find it?” - A full and detailed changelog will be accessible from the in-game main menu. We’ll also post it in future posts.
That’s all we wanted to share with you today! We sincerely hope that all changes suit your expectations and that you’re about to experience numerous memorable and unique moments in Nemesis: Lockdown!
If you have further questions - do not hesitate to ask directly on the right Discord channel or in the comment section below. Expect some more pictures, videos and updates about the game within the next few days. If you enjoy the game - remember to leave a review on the Steam Store - it really helps and motivates us a lot!
OK, survivors - as one final piece of new content, we leave you with the gif below that should CATch your eye!

Hey everyone!
Woah, that was quite crazy 2 days! First of all we wanted to THANK YOU all so much for joining us at Early Access! Overall, release was a great success and we cannot be happier with the awesome community we were able to gather here.
Seeing you play the game, give us feedback, comment and chat on Discord is a blast and huge motivation boost for the whole team! Thank you for your trust, support and feedback. We know that getting into Early Access games is a risk, as many fail to deliver on the promises. But we will make sure to reward your trust with as good game as possible!
Now, we wanted to make this quick update to give you a bit more information on what is currently happening, what we are planning and prioritizing for Early Access period.
Priority 1: Fixing any bugs / glitches This is number one priority for our team. We are constantly looking over bug reports, feedback here on steam / discord. We already have added bunch of hotfixes and most critical problems are addressed. Even more are coming. Those quick hot-fix patches are coming without updates (just not to spam you) – for every “bigger” update we will have full list of changes and backlog ;)
Priority 2: In-game tutorial We are fully aware that current rules presentation is… well, less then ideal. Especially for a game with level of complexity like that. We definitely want to make sure any new players, without prior board game experience can go through tutorial that will ease the learning curve. This is not an easy task – but we are devoted to making it work!
Priority 3: Quality of life improvements There is a lot of small and big improvements that you have requested and one by one we will be trying our best to implement them. Things like private game lobbies, better “game ending” and so on. You can expect a lot of those implemented and in general iron out gameplay experience.
Priority 4: More rules visibility We also want to invest time in making some things more transparent (and currently are not). Things like event phase, intruder attacks or already mentioned ending of the game. There is a careful balance to be maintained between transparency and too many information – but we hope together we will find a great way!
Priority 5: Language translation For full release we will want to translate the game into at least few languages – not yet fully decided which ones, but we will communicate about it soon!
Overall, as you can see, there is plenty of work before us! You can expect new bigger patches every 2-4 weeks, with full backlog and progress report.
Once again – thank you all for being here, we really appreciate and we hope we are on the start of a great adventure 😉

Hey everyone!
Just a quick info on a small bug that you might be experiencing that we are currently hot-fixing. While we have tested our servers capacity before the launch and everything worked great – there is one small bug that showed up and might be unfortunately quite annoying.
Displaying multiplayer games / ranking can go on and off, due to so many servers being created – which in turn might make it hard to join a game of your choosing. While this is just a simple display glitch – it might be quite annoying and we are really, really sorry for that happening!
As we speak, our brave dev team (even it is night in Poland) is working for a hot-fix that will deal with this problem ASAP. We hope that within next few hours we will release quick-patch. Worst case scenario, solution will be tomorrow.
Please accept our deepest apologies if this problem affect you – obviously this should not happened. Also – there are few reports of other bugs / problems – we are looking at them as well and will be fixing everything as well (non-critical bugs might take few days more).

Hey everyone!
Today is the day! We are EXTREMELY excited to invite you all to Early Access of Nemesis Lockdown. For past long months we have worked super hard in preparing for this very moment!
Original Nemesis Board Game is a complex game – but it rewards players with great cinematic experience, awesome player interactions and in general tons of fun. This is why it reached so many different people (with 500k boxes of Core Box and expansions worldwide) and got great reviews. With this digital adaptation we aimed at making the game more accessible thanks to a new medium, while keeping all the fun that you can get from multiplayer interactions.
On top of it, we really have added a lot of care to have the extra level of immersion thanks to visuals and sound! We really do hope, that you will have TONS of fun in Nemesis and amazing stories to tell!
For launch of Early Access we have prepared a special trailer – check it out!
We have also prepared a pretty good offer for everyone who will join us for the first 7 days! We have special 25% discount on top of 5 USD discount for buying the game in Early Access 😉
Ok! So, the game is in Early Access -meaning it is not 100% complete, what is missing? - We do not have full in-game tutorial (we have video tutorials instead) - There might be some small bugs here and there - We will be polishing up UX and rules presentation - We will be adding more modes of plays - Implementing feedback from your tests - Getting better balance
If the game launch will go good enough, we can also think about adding some more content (more alien races ? 😉 ) – so make sure to spread the word about Nemesis Lockdown!
If you will experience any bugs, you can report them in-game, on Discord or in THIS dedicated Steam thread. If you have any feature request - use THIS thread!
As always, we try to take Early Access as a place to interact with community and we are deeply committed to that process. This means, we will be reading your feedback very carefully and working hard on making the game better based on that! This means that you can except regular patches, that will upgrade the gameplay experience as well as bring some extra content. If you will enjoy the game, make sure to leave a review here on steam – it will go a long way for us! We have put our hearts into this game, so seeing your feedback will be really awesome 😉
You can also join our Discord, where you can find some people to play with and talk with the devs 😉
We really hope you will enjoy the game and have some really great fun dying on secret base on Mars! :D
