Patch 2.5.0 Junk Survivor – Major Content Update Now Live!

This update brings a massive expansion to the world of Junk Survivor along with sweeping balance improvements, new systems, and tons of new content. The Snow Biome has been expanded to its final planned size doubling the overall map size and now features tougher, more rewarding zombies. We’ve also introduced the foundation for new damage types, resistances, and deeper progression systems.

World & Exploration
Snow Biome expanded to its full release size, doubling the total map size.
5 new Points of Interest added to the Snow Biome.
Enemies & Combat
New Snow Biome zombies: tougher to kill but drop significantly better rewards.
Player Resistances System added to support upcoming new damage types.
Stamina system updated: stamina now decreases when using tools and weapons but also regenerates faster.
Loot & Items
63 new sellable/buyable books.
38 new melee quality drops.
66 new gun quality drops.
67 new gear quality drops.
New Platinum-tier Tools added.
64 new craftable recipes.
28 new component items added across crafting and progression.
Weight adjustments made across many items for better balance.
Crafting & Stations
New Salvage Station and complete salvage system allowing players to break down all gear, weapons, and tools.
Salvaging yields Parts, used to craft:
3 new Repair Kit skills, now tied directly to the salvage system.
Economy
Trader prices are now zone-dependent: higher-level zones offer lower prices.
🛠️ Fixes & Improvements
Fixed chicken animations when they are driven over.
Toolbox is now required to repair vehicles as intended.

Major Update 2.3.2 - Vehicles Overhauled + New Ice Zombies!
This update puts a big spotlight on vehicles – fixing fuel usage, sound bugs, damage states, saving issues, and making sure Zombies interact with them properly. On top of that, the world of Junk Survivor just got deadlier with the arrival of Ice Zombies in the Snow Biome , reward
This update puts a big spotlight on vehicles – fixing fuel usage, sound bugs, damage states, saving issues, and making sure Zombies interact with them properly. On top of that, the world of Junk Survivor just got deadlier with the arrival of Ice Zombies in the Snow Biome, rewarding brave players with better loot. We’ve also added 23 new melee weapons, 30 new clothing items, and ammo casing crafting to keep progression exciting.
New Content
Melee Weapons: Added 4 new melee weapons plus new quality variations for all melee weapons. (Total: 23 new melee weapon items)
Scarecrow Boss Loot: Adjusted loot tables so it now drops better items.
Ice Zombies: New Ice Zombies now roam the Snow Biome. They’re tougher to kill but reward players with better loot.
Ammo Crafting: Players can now craft ammo casings once they learn the Ammo Smith skill.
Clothing: Added 3 new clothing sets plus new quality versions. (Total: 30 new clothing items)
Fixes & Improvements
Inventory sorting bug fixed (items no longer disappear with only 1 item present).
Zombies no longer move before standing up when hit by vehicles.
Vehicle fuel usage now saves correctly when stopping and starting a vehicle.
Speedometer fixed in both single-player and multiplayer (shows/hides properly when entering/exiting a vehicle).
Game saves now correctly save vehicle fuel amounts.
Vehicles no longer drive through Zombies; collisions are handled properly.
Zombie spawn points updated to properly recognize vehicles.
Bows now deal correct damage to Zombies.
Fixed starving in a vehicle bug (death and respawn now function as intended).
Players can’t open the world map while in the death menu.
Ragdoll physics fixed on Zombies and animals (proper reactions when hit by vehicles).
Disabled collision on dead bodies so loot bags aren’t blocked.
Grenade Launcher now deals damage properly.
Fixed Zombies spawning inside vehicles.
Vehicle interactions updated: must aim at the vehicle to enter or access inventories.
Fixed bug where closing inventory with an item in hand blocked building plan use.
Mobs no longer despawn while the player is in a vehicle.
Vehicle sound fixed when fuel runs out (looping audio removed).
Vehicles can’t take further damage once fully broken.
Zombies stop attacking vehicles once they’re fully broken.
Fixed container interaction bug preventing vehicle driving.
Workstations drop items correctly it has in when destroyed.
Resources are now refunded when destroying building parts.
Saving while crafting in inventory now works correctly.
Vehicle assembly stations now have on/off buttons.
Added a radius limit to UI numbers so they don’t show from too far away.
Fixed bug where dying mid-craft caused resource loss.
Vehicle sounds no longer persist after a player exits.
Workbench sound stops when destroyed.
Removed auto-saving while a player is dead.

Driving into water no longer forces incorrect swimming animations.

When driving vehicles over mobs they will ragdoll , if you have upgraded your vehicle with wooden spikes it will damage the mobs you hit.
Changed the base clothing of starter players so it is more inline with our new outfits.

New Gear and Weapons: Discover five new gun types, each with added rarity tiers, increasing the total collectible guns to over 70.
New Biome: Explore the Snow Biome, complete with temperature mechanics for an added survival challenge.
Off-Hand Slot: Equip off-hand items like torches, allowing for versatile gameplay while using your main hand for other tasks.
Vehicle Enhancements: Vehicles now feature health bars, speedometers, and fuel indicators. Beware of mob attacks on vehicles, which can cause damage and require repairs using a toolbox.
Crop Plot Improvements: Added functionality to pick up crop plots for easier relocation.

We’re thrilled to share some more news about the upcoming patch and gear sets! The highlight of this update is the introduction of brand-new gear sets, each offering unique bonuses when equipped. These sets not only enhance gameplay but also bring a fresh look to the game as we prepare for our full release.
Revamped Gear and Enhanced Player Stats
As part of our ongoing efforts to polish the game, we’re reworking much of the existing clothing with higher-quality models and improved designs. But the improvements don’t stop at aesthetics—these new gear sets will also include stat boosts to enhance your character’s base attributes. For example, we've been hard at work redesigning the police gear set. The new police outfit will grant increased armor, enhanced base stats such as Strength and Dexterity, and an expanded Health pool, enabling you to withstand tougher encounters with enemies and zombies.
Additionally, gear pieces will come in various rarity levels, each offering additional bonuses. This means that players can mix and match rare gear for even greater benefits, tailoring their loadouts to their specific playstyle and objectives.
Why Gear Sets Matter
Beyond improving aesthetics, these gear sets are designed to provide meaningful stat boosts that will be essential as the game evolves. As we introduce new biomes, players will face stronger enemies and more challenging bosses. Having the right gear for the job will be critical.

Taking him on will not be easy as he has a lot of Health and hits like a truck but the rewards will be well deserved. Added ability to pickup Spiked Wall, Fortified Spiked Wall and Spiked Gate.
Fixed Book metal plate in research table where it would not craft the book.
Fix Cow Pen and Sheep Pen to show proper items it crafts and craft the right items.
Added ability to craft signboards that can be placed on walls and players can edit the names . Good to name chests.
Added sliding bar to set amount for items to be crafted.
Added our first boss, Scarecrow to the world. He will drop special items.

Update 1.9.0 - More farming animals added!
With Update 1.9.0 we have fixed many bugs and started adding in more content. Our next few up coming updates will start to focus more on content as we slowly start moving towards full release with new biomes coming, world boss fights and new places to explore. Patch Notes: Added

Patch Notes:

Added bounce effect and particle effects to most resources harvested with tools.
Fixed Pig Hut to make Leather and Rot..
Added Cow mob.
Reworked the Fuel system so it does not over generate ash and cause lag.
Added Large Animal Traps which allows players to capture cows and sheep to craft Cow Pens and Sheep Pens. Sheep Pen will generate Wool/Raw Meat and Cow Pen will generate Raw Prime Meat and Rot.
Fixed medical tray collusion which was preventing the pickup of bandages and pills in the hospital building. Now players can pickup pain pills and Bandages there.
Added Seed merchant where players can buy and sell seeds.
Improved saving lag but we still have some work to do with it.
Fixed bug where the compass display doubles on death.
Added destruction effects on all building parts so you can see when you destroy a building part.
Improved Ceiling placement allowing up to 4 ceilings to be placed with one support. Ceilings can also be placed on foundations.
Changed how the Raider mobs take damage, now they will only have a 20% chance of being staggered when a player hits them preventing players from constantly staggering a enemy and just killing him.
Added harvestable Stop Signs, harvestable Vending Machine.
Updated display when chatting with a NPC Trader.
Copper Ore, Copper Ingot and Copper Wire added.
New recipes added to Research Table: Book Metal Plate, Book Electric Wire, Book Copper Wire, Book Metal Pipe, Book Piston.
Updated Ui so that items so that looted items will first stack in the hotbar on similar items before they get placed in inventory.

Major Update 1.8.0

This is a major update with many fixes and new items. Because its such a major update it will require a restart as old save files wont have the new stuff in it and will break the game. A Lot of things was changed and added from player feedback.

Increase Simple Backpack storage to 14 extra slots.
Add 4 more Backpack types to be crafted at a sewing table.
Increase Chicken and Pig Hit box.
Fixed zombie Bear Death animation to not loop.
Fixed Death Loot bag bug where when you loot it and there is more items than empty slots you have available it would still loot all and you would loose some items. Now if there is no more empty slots the remaining items will stay inside the loot bag.
When Death Loot Bag is empty or when the timer runs out it will destroy the loot bag as well as the Death marker. So if a player does not see his Death Marker anymore it means the loot bag is destroyed.
Added header information to Furnace to explain how to craft ingots.
Fixed Backpacks not showing up on back on Buffed Guy when equipped.
Added Composter Book to traders.
Fixed the Meat Pile, when destroyed now it will stop mobs spawning from it and will drop bones which is used to craft a placeable meat pile. Could be used to make a Zombie farm.
Increase water bottle refill of thirst from 15% to 25%
Fixed Trees respawning when the trunk is destroyed when loading game in.
Fixed foundations being placed and then destroyed if terrain has a slight slope. Now if a foundation cant be placed it will just show red.
Reduced Hunger and Thirst consumption so its more balanced.
New Sheep mob added and new wool and yarn items added which will be used to craft items in a Sewing Table.
Increased Bow and arrow damage.
Changed it so that a player only has a 30% chance to get staggered when being attacked, this way when cornered a player still has a chance to kill the mob.
Changed Skill icons to be green when a player can learn a new skill and yellow on learned skills.
Added new Range Damage Increase Skill which increases the damage done by bows and crossbows.
Split stat points and skill points so now when a player levels they don't need to choose between the two to spend their points on as each one will have its own points to assign.
Added Metal ore nodes to mine metal ore which can then be smelted in a furnace to make metal scraps.
Added Clay piles that can be mined to get clay and dirt.
Fixed a bug where some items merchants sell they would not buy like some books. Now any item a merchant sells they will also buy.
Added Truck vehicle assembly station to Mr Two Cars area so players can now assemble a truck. Its still experimental and expect bugs. Character is missing sitting animation. Make sure to grab your truck Key from the assembly and don't loose the key!

In this update we added some features like a sorting option for items in inventory. We also added new hair styles and new farming items.

Added new Trap skill where you can learn how to make small and medium animal traps.
New Chicken Coop and Pigs Hut buildings added where players can generate passive resources when they have animal feed in them.
New crafting items added, animal feed and shredded corn.
Fixed Day Night cycle setup so now you will see the days change again.

Version 1.6.7 - Unreal Engine 5.3 Upgrade
We are excited to announce we have now updated Junk Survivor to Unreal Engine 5.3. This was a big job but finally we have it upgraded so now we can start adding more content and fixing bugs. We have disabled vehicles for now till we upgrade all the vehicles to the new Chaos Plugi
We are excited to announce we have now updated Junk Survivor to Unreal Engine 5.3. This was a big job but finally we have it upgraded so now we can start adding more content and fixing bugs. We have disabled vehicles for now till we upgrade all the vehicles to the new Chaos Plugin which will improve vehicle movement considerably. With this upgrade we can start work on adding in procedural map generation which should be released very soon. Other improvements has also been added to Junk Survivor.
Patch Notes:

Upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.3 with considerable frame rate improvements.
Increased view distance in game.
New Interactive World Map system added.
Fixed Multiplayer system so now players can create multiplayer games.
New Raiders Faction added with combat and loot.
Improvements done to the world to make it feel more fleshed out.

Fixed Bug with backpack - we fixed the bug where if you don't loot your backpack first you loose your items.
Increased Metal Plate drop rate- we increased the droprate for metal plates.

We are very pleased to release Update 1.3.0. This was a major change of all Interface elements to better suit the game style. We also add new player characters which will allow us better customization for the future. To celebrate this major update we are running a weeklong sale so be sure to get it now if you have not yet!

New Interface graphics - We changed all icons and all interface elements with new graphics to better suit our game style.
New player characters - New player characters has been added to allow for a wider choice with 3 body types to choose from.
New weapons added - we added new weapon types like a sniper rifle and a grenade launcher for more weapon options.
Steam Achievements added - Yu can now reach Steam Achievements doing different activities in the game, Lets see who can reach all the achievements first!
New Main menu layout - We changed the Main Menu layout so its easier to navigate the system.
New Clothing Options - New clothing items will drop allowing players to further customize their character.
All new graphics on Steam page - All platforms have been updated to display better quality graphics to represent the game.

This update we focused on fixing some bugs and we added in furniture. Players will have 10 new furniture items to place down in their house so be sure to collect them all.

Zombies hanging around - Fixed zombies that spawn in the air and hang around.
Breaking Rocks and doors still leaves collusion - Fixed it when breaking doors and rocks the collusion still stays there. They will no longer have collusion.
UI on Police and Taxi crafting station wrong - UI has wrong amounts and images have been changed.
Pond only giving 10% of water - pond should fill it up totally now.
Player dies when he has left MP game - Player will no longer die from hunger or thirst when they leave a MP game.
Furniture added - there is now 10 more furniture items in the game to collect.
