v3.2 Beta 02 Release Notes:
This update focuses on smoother Light Bar behavior, more accurate controller color detection, and a round of Bluetooth audio, and startup stability fixes.
VirtualPad Driver
We are aware of the BSOD crashes affecting some users, and deeply apologize for it! A fix is being worked on that will be pushed to all users separately once Nefarius finishes up soon. If you are one of those that experienced this, submitting the mini-dumps files found in "C:\\Windows" or "C:\\Windows\\Minidump" to me @Paliverse on Discord will help speed things up.
New / Improved
Added Instant Color Switch for Custom Multi-Color Light Bar mode; custom Multi-Color and Battery gradient edits now apply live, and Cycle Speed now scales HSL and Custom modes more evenly.
Added DualSense edition detection and matching controller skins for Marathon, Genshin Impact, and 007 First Light controllers.
Improved app security and startup reliability with the new offline cache system.

Fixed adaptive trigger states from physical DualSense controllers not being routed to Virtual DualSense output which broke functionality in games like Stellar Blade.
Fixed System Audio haptics capture restart looping when the selected capture endpoint was unavailable or fell back to another endpoint which caused increased memory usage.
Fixed controller overlay OBS URL copy edge cases that might have caused a crash to happen.

v3.2 Beta 01 Release Notes:
Thank you for waiting. Many of you have been waiting for v3.2 since October/November, and I’m sorry it took this long to get here. This update became much larger than originally planned, but the extra time went into making DSX more stable, cleaner, faster, and more reliable across the app.
v3.2 is the most stable DSX has ever been, and the goal from here is to keep improving the app with faster updates, better polish, and fewer long waits between major fixes.

Added Virtual DualSense with Audio support, allowing games to send native DualSense audio and haptics through DSX over Bluetooth or USB. (Requires DSX+ to create a virtual DualSense as it always has been)
Added support for launching DSX manually without Steam, using a 28-day ownership cache before Steam is required again.
Redesigned the Home page, LED page, Haptics | Rumble page, and Profiles page.
Overhauled Profiles with a new card-based UI, profile color tags, color filtering, recently used sorting, profile details, usage info, and easier apply/configure/share/duplicate/reset actions.

We've made the offline period caching system 4 weeks (28 days) for all users.
App Settings and Device Settings now get backed up in case they gets corrupted.

v3.1.5 Release Notes:
Quick update on Bluetooth Audio and Haptics: progress is going great, and the feature is getting close to release. It’s still in development, but we’ll be moving from closed beta to open beta soon, with no time limit.
Access to Bluetooth Audio and Haptics will be included with the Virtual DualSense DLC from now on, so you’ll need the DLC to use any of the Audio/Haptics modes wirelessly. The DLC will get rebranded to DSX+ to offer more than just a virtual DualSense. Please visit the DLC page to learn more.
We’re also starting closed beta testing for the virtual DualSense with audio device integration. That will begin with a small group of users and expand gradually.
Stay tuned for more updates. It’s really that close now!
DSX is getting another UI update boost that will make using it much easier and simpler to use. There were polls done in the discord server and you guys spoke!
First we got rid of the second page navigation to edit a profile, and now all navigation buttons are visible and clickable, one less click! We've also reorganized them.
Profile selection, and virtual device selection were moved to the top of the pages for profile editing.
Notifications page has been removed, and relocated to My Controller Page. Notification settings are now part of device settings instead of per profile. You can find it in My Controller Page -> General Settings -> Notifications.
DualSense Edge Profile System page has also been removed and profile adjustments have been relocated to My Controller Page.
Controller Mappings Page has been fully reimagined with a new layout to make profile adjustments easier, faster, and clearer. Button selections on the controller view can now be fully cleared instead of clearing one by one. The controller view itself is now much bigger to make selections easier.
My Controller Page has also been reimagined with a new layout that makes it easier to make and view adjustments.
Many parts of the UI were updated throughout the app for a cleaner and modern look.
Updated tutorial to better explain what each navigation page does.
DSX now offers a 4 week (28 days) offline period instead of the default 2 week period before needing an internet connection again for ownership checks as part of the new DSX+ DLC rebrand. Please visit the DLC page for more info.
We’ve added a backup server to help users in regions with access restrictions, such as Russia, connect without needing a VPN.
Profiles no longer rely on their internal path of where they are located on disk, which has led to improvements in importing profiles, and DSX being smart in cleaning up the profiles directory.
The last active profile being worked on now loads up instead of the first one in the list.

Limited Time Open Beta:
We've been hard at work implementing BT Audio/Haptics for the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers. We're excited to grant users an opportunity to experience this major breakthrough not found anywhere else on PC.
We've decided to create this limited time open beta to collect feedback from users to find and fix bugs/issues. I hope you enjoy this experience as i have when implementing it!
This beta will run for roughly around 72 hours ending around October 28th 8 PM PDT. There will be future opportunities for another Open Beta if you can't make it to this one, including the updated driver that supports the virtual DualSense with an Audio Device to bring native Audio/Haptics from games to your BT controller.
Virtual DualSense with an Audio Device is NOT ready yet. This test doesn't include getting Audio/Haptics from games, that is coming soon.
Configure all settings in My Controller Page!
Available modes:
Sound Waves - Supports 5 wave types, including adjustments to frequency from 0 - 500 Hz, and the use of Rumble to Haptics from virtual devices like Xbox, DualShock 4, and DualSense available in this mode only, and i recommend you turn off Audio Setup.
System Audio Capture - Captures the audio being played back via your default Sound Device in Windows, then sends all of it to your Controller including feeling every sound via Haptics.
File Playback - Allows you to select Audio files to be played back via BT. Supports many audio file types and utilizes Haptics similar to System Audio Capture.
Things that can be adjusted:
Resampling Quality - We have 5 modes to choose from, and they can play a role in latency depending on your hardware. Hovering the info icon can explain what each mode does.
Capture Buffer Size - Controls the buffer size when processing audio from a source (Sound Wave, System Audio Capture, etc..). The lower the number the smaller the buffer which lead to less latency, but higher chances for instability. Increase until no more stuttering or use Auto.
Playback Buffer Latency - Controls the device playback processing of Audio and Haptics, Lower number is less latency, but comes at a cost of controller not keeping up with Audio/Haptics data coming in which can lead to stuttering. Increase until no more stuttering.
Audio Setup - You can switch between Speaker/Headset and option of down mixing to mono if only the speaker is selected. We have an exciting Auto mode that will switch between speaker/headset depending on if you have a headphone jack connected.
Speaker Volume - Can adjust the volume of the speaker.
Headset Volume - Can adjust the volume of the headset.
Speaker Beamforming - Can increase the speaker volume beyond it's limit. Higher = more muffled sound.
Haptics Gain - This controls how strong or weak Haptics should feel. 1.0 is the normal value, higher number makes Haptics stronger, lower makes them weaker.

With switch, it will allow you to switch without it going back to the previous mode like toggle or hold.
Assign profiles to games in the Installed Games Page, and DSX will automatically detect when a game is running to apply the correct profile.
Multi-Mode Activation: Activate multiple haptic modes at once, combining effects for a richer feel.
Implemented Audio-to-Rumble with selectable sound source and a digital/analog detection test.

Discord Rich Presence has been fully removed from DSX. If you still see DSX as your playing status on Discord, that's from steam. You can disable it in Discord settings or make sure Steam Now Playing Status is disabled in DSX Settings -> Behavior.
My Controller navigation button is now grayed out if no controllers are connected to DSX as well as updating icon based on connected/disconnected.
Cleaned up HidHide backend when hiding/unhiding devices. Device instance paths are now saved to a file when a device is hidden, and removed when no longer hidden. In the case of a crash or some unknown error, if there are still paths, DSX will clear them from HidHide when booting up.

If you haven't been made aware yet, BT Audio and Haptics have been achieved and will come at a later update. Right now it's working quite well, but there some issues that need to be resolved before it's made public. This combined with virtual DualSense that has an attached audio device (coming later), you'll soon be able to feel and hear what games send, but fully wirelessly! This is a great time to get the virtual DualSense DLC if you haven't yet! Right now the goal for us is to improve DSX as much as possible in terms of performance, and de-cluttering our back-end/front-end.
I expect to release v3.1 to all users within the next couple of weeks if things go as planned.

Added custom mode for Motion-to-Buttons and Stick-to-Buttons
DS Edge Page:
Exciting news! DSX can now fully modify your DualSense Edge on-board profiles via BT connection.
UI improvements throughout the internal profile system. Profiles now show the time stamp above its name of when they were last modified regardless of platform if configured correctly.
Implemented Disable Profile Switching (NEW) - If enabled, DSX will block profile switching with FN + (Action Buttons). These settings aren't saved internally on the controller; they only apply while DSX is running.
Eventually this page will no longer exist, and on-board profile management will be moved to My Controller Page in future updates to simplify things.
Button Assignments Section:
Circle and Cross button assignments can now be fully disabled.
Touchpad finger touch movements can now be toggled on or off.
Left and Right Sticks can now be toggled on or off.
You can now toggle swap Left and Right sticks input.
Stick Sensitivity/Deadzone Section:
Improved curve selection, and improved graph showing curves
Implemented Custom curve - manually adjust the curve by setting individual response points to create a personalized input feel. NOTE: Editing this profile in the PS5 console or the official PS Accessories app will revert any custom curve settings back to their defaults.
Implemented Deadzone 0-30% (official PS5 settings), however DSX takes it to the next level letting you go up to 100%. NOTE: Editing this profile in the PS5 console or the official PS Accessories app, any deadzone setting above 30% will revert to its default value.
You can now preview Stick Adjustments to compare controller input and adjusted input along with deadzone radius.
Trigger Deadzone Section:
You can now see trigger input in real-time to see controller and adjusted input.
You can now apply the same settings for both L2 and R2.
Vibration/Trigger Effect Intensity Section (NEW):
Implemented Vibration Intensity with these options: turning it off, setting it to weak, medium, and Strong (Standard).

My Controller Page:
The device Information section gains an updated UI, with more info like what features of the connected device DSX supports.
DSX now supports a profile slot system where you can assign 4 different slots from profiles you created, and be able to activate them with keyboard shortcuts. You can also cycle between the 4 slots with a keyboard shortcut.

Fixed Turbo/Toggle actions not activating for solo buttons,
Implemented Individual Player LEDs for legacy DualSense controllers and DS Edge,
Fixed issue with DSX.Steam causing a crash if ACH.json file was empty or corrupt,
Fixed Device Status shortcut action showing connection type in battery info section
