It's been 3 months already since the game released! To celebrate this little milestone, there's a week-long sale now. So if it’s been on your wishlist (or a friend’s), now’s a great time to jump into the world of Spellpowder.
As for those who already played (or even finished) the game - I really hope it met your expectations and had fun with it. Also, if you haven’t written a Steam review yet, it would help a lot if you did.
Future plans:
Before moving on onto the other games, I'd like to try adding some things to Uprising, specifically:
Controller Support - Handheld devices are getting more and more popular. Even though the game was primarily made to be touch screen compatible (the plan was scrapped when hub area was introduced) I'll try to map controls to gamepad to at least a playable level (that means can beat the whole game without resorting to keyboard and mouse). I imagine the update could come out somewhere this year.
Localization - I'm still somewhat on the fence about this one, since the codebase was not written with localization in mind, but I'd like to see if that would move non-English speaking markets. It would be translator/AI translated texts, so I think there's little need to wait for that, if you can understand English (maybe for second playthrough?). Not set on languages too I'd expect for this update to come out somewhere in winter or even later.

Greetings, tacticians! Another small update to make your playthroughs smoother:

Pressing 'Space' when character is selected will set it to 'Defend'
Added some gleam to dropped loot
Added save game deletion confirmation to prevent accidental save deletes
Fixed soft-locking when going through a character standing on loot. Hopefully haven't introduced any new issues with that.
Also, a reminder to leave a steam review. Still need some to reach 10 of those!

Greetings, adventurers! I hope your travels are going well. Here's a small update with some graphical adjustments and quality-of-life improvements:

As requested on the discussion boards, I've added an option for free camera movement! The camera no longer follows the active/selected character and can now be moved freely, even during enemy turns. You'll find this setting in the options menu.
Adjusted contrast slightly - colors should now appear more vivid.
Fixed an issue where the objective window wouldn't disappear on very wide screens.
Fixed visual issues in the airship.
Fixed a few typos.

The wait is almost over!
Greetings, Work on a Spellpowder: Uprising is coming to an end, so it's high time to set a release date. And that is year 2025. I know, I know it's somewhat vague, but since the game was started in 2020 even knowing years is great. So what can you expect is this time? Streaming -

Work on a Spellpowder: Uprising is coming to an end, so it's high time to set a release date. And that is year 2025. I know, I know it's somewhat vague, but since the game was started in 2020 even knowing years is great.
So what can you expect is this time?

Streaming - not sure Youtube or Twitch, but will be streaming more often, to show the game
Kickstarter? - might create a campaign to see how it works and goes, not 100% sure yet
Voice Acting audition - more info will be on Discord server some time later
Next Fest in 2025 with updated demo and new trailer
And game release of course, biggest event of them all. So stay tuned (mostly on Discord) and see you all later.
