- 3 New Playable Characters In the full release of Project UNSEEK, you will be able to play previously locked characters on the demo: Tech tinker girl J-Li, Faithfully religious boy Christopher, and Creature, inspired by Indonesian urban legend, the thief Boar Demon. More about them will be showcased on our social media, so stay tuned!
- 2 New Map Variant In the full-release version of Project UNSEEK, you will able to play at 2 previously locked maps, Deep Middle and Crew Quarter, a variant of Quiet Hills and Testing Lab.
- Improved art and animation We have polished several assets and animations for better enjoyment of the game.
- Bug Fix We try to wipe out a lot of bugs we can find, so hopefully, your gameplay will have fewer hiccups.

- Humans can replace lower rarity items when picking up the higher one
You can now automatically replace basic items with rarer items when your inventory is full.
- Humans can only pick up one dagger at a time
Humans are now limited to carrying one ritual dagger in their inventory.
- Fixed: player state not synced while in the room
- Fixed: Alien's Assimilation skill is not canceled when getting stunned

Here are some fantastic updates we've made for the demo:- Brand New Characters
In this demo, you'll meet the complete roster of characters available in the full game, including three exciting new additions. Meet J-Li, a clever girl with a knack for scrambling the system, Christopher, a man of faith, and Boar Demon, a shape-shifting thief demon with two formidable forms. Three of these characters will be exclusively unlocked in the full version. Stay tuned to our social media channels and blog for more details about them!
- Character Cosmetics: Companions and Trail Effects
Now, you can personalize your characters even further with Companion and Trail effect cosmetics! Using in-game points, you can purchase these delightful additions that will follow your character's every move in the game. Make your presence known with these cool companions and stylish trail effects.

Welcome to our newest development blog of Project UNSEEK.
It’s already the end of March! Q1 of 2023 just ended. It’s time to report some of the developments and updates we have done thus far. Let’s go!- Map update
We’re testing new layout variations of our maps. Also, all of the maps will have more 3D assets than ever!
- UI/UX update
We’re updating some UI in the main menu and lobby room to create a more streamlined experience.
Main Menu:
- You can now exit the game directly from the main menu.
- Select the server region in the main menu.
Lobby:
- You can now invite Steam friends to join using the in-game button.
- Steam Integration
Project UNSEEK is now integrated with Steam. Some of the notable features:
- Stream friends game invite
- Show your in-game status on your Steam profile status.
- Steam Achievement.
- New character and basic items
We’re working on adding more colorful characters that we’ll reveal to you later. Stay tuned!
- Character customization
In case you missed our demo in steam next fest, we’re implementing character customization to personalize your character from hat to trousers.
- Tutorial
We’re adding a selection of tutorials for new players to learn about the basics of the game. The prompt will appear when you play the game for the first time, or you can access it later using the Journal menu.
- Voice chat
You can enable voice chat in every session, and the room master can also enable proximity voice chat to add more immersion to the session.
- Non-Randomized Mode
We are working on adding a non-randomized role mode to add more variety to your gameplay.
- Audio update
We’re working with talented artists to add voice-over and new background music to add a more immersive experience to the game.
- Better controller support implementation in the menu
Awkward pseudo cursor no more!
- Bug fixing and polishing
As usual, our programmer works hard to fix everything whenever we add new features.
That’s it for the development update. Can’t wait to see our game in action when it is finally released.
But wait, there’s more!
Earlier this week, Some of our team just safely landed back from San Francisco, attending GCA and GDC, but because most of them are about deals and stuff, we can’t tell you much about it now. One thing really important is we learned so much from the conference and meeting with fellow developers from around the world, and we’re really excited to implement all we learned there in our games and company.
And one last thing, we’re in the really early phase of developing our new games, and we are inviting all of you to participate in the early development by joining our research survey!

We're excited to announce that we'll be attending both Game Connection America (GCA) and Game Developer Conference (GDC) this year!
GCA is one of the biggest business events in the gaming industry, where we'll be networking, showcasing projects, and scouting potential partners. This year, it's taking place in San Francisco from March 20th to March 21st, 2023. With the support of Asosiasi Game Indonesia, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, we'll showcase Project UNSEEK and many games from 7 other talented Indonesian developers on the Indonesia Pavilion to potential partners from all around the world.
But wait, there's more! We're also attending GDC - one of the most important game development events in the world. This year, it's taking place in San Francisco from March 20th to March 24th, 2023. The conference will have a bunch of super cool talks, workshops, and roundtables about game development, marketing, and business. We're excited to attend these sessions and learn from the most experienced pros in the industry.
So yeah, we've got a lot on our plate that week, but it's gonna be awesome! If you're attending either GCA or GDC, hit us up and let's schedule a meeting. We'd love to connect with you and share our experiences.

It's been a week since Steam Next Fest ended. It's our first time publishing a public demo in an event as big as this, and it's a great feeling when many people finally try your game. We also learn a lot from this event as developers on how to market games on the PC gaming market.Our participation won't be complete without the help of many people. First, we want to thank more than 3000 people who downloaded the public demo of Project UNSEEK, all 50k viewers of our gameplay stream on Steam; thank you for checking out our game and adding Project UNSEEK to your wishlist. We also want to thank all the media that helped us by creating coverage and content about Project UNSEEK. We want to give a special shoutout to all Twitch Indonesia Community streamers that did a special collab (and bug hunting) with us on their stream and gave us so much feedback. Let's play together again next time! Lastly, a shoutout to our Community on all our channels for supporting us until now!
Sadly the event must end, and we must deactivate the download for a while. Why? To improve and fix the demo based on our player's feedback. But the game is still playable (with online features and all) if you have it in your library. We intend to bring back the download later when it's ready. We hope you can wait a bit for it.

2022 is when we decided to restart the development of Project UNSEEK, and it has been almost a year since we started redeveloping the game. So many things happened in such a short span; restarting our Discord and Twitter, many monthly playtests (thanks for your participation and feedback!), a lot of new mechanics and characters added, a couple of international events, some local events, and our first Steam event! Thank you so much for all of your support! (Especially to our community!) With your help, we can run this far.Here are some updates on what we will do in January and February.
Steam Next Fest (February 6th, 2023)
We are working to create our first public demo that will be playable on Steam Next Fest. In this demo, you can play using 3 Humans and 2 Creatures on two maps and play it online with your friends and colleagues for free.What's in this demo version:
- Play using five characters: Jack, Britanny, Louis, Dr. Plague, and Alien.
- Play on the latest map: Lab! Also Forest.
- Onboarding tutorial on how to start and play the game.
- Cross-play with the Community Playtesting version.
We also plan to do some Livestream on our steam page between the 6th - 13th of February 2022. We will also rebroadcast it if you miss the stream. Please stay tuned for more info about the demo and stream.

Community Playtesting
Our last community playtesting was in November 2022, and we skipped it entirely in December. In 2023 we will do it again until the game is released. In the future, unlike the previous session, we will do it more unsupervised and more open. However, it might still be limited to our discord members or opened to the public on Steam. Because of this, we will implement an onboarding tutorial so the new participant can quickly learn the game without needing the dev to explain it every session.This community version will also be compatible to cross-play with the Demo version, so you can play it with everyone without asking them to join the community.
So what's the difference with the demo version?- The Playtest version will get early access to our latest updates, including new characters, maps, etc.
- The Playtest server will always be open, unlike the Demo version, which might be closed after the event above ends.
