As always let me know through the in-game bug report feature if you notice anything wonky with the controller support. UI has also undergone some scaling to make text easier to read. Hope you all enjoy and keep slaying monsters fellow Mage Knights!

A New Chapter
This is a massive content and quality-of-life update with new systems, deeper combat, and a long list of fixes. Here's everything that's new since the last version:
New Content & Systems
Crafting & Recipes — enemies now drop recipe scrolls. Turn them in at the Blacksmith to learn new gear, then craft it from materials you gather. Duplicate scrolls upgrade a recipe, adding bonus stats to everything you craft from it.
Two New Spell Trees — master Frost Bolt and Lightning, each with four upgradeable skills and unique battlefield effects (Frost slow and Static shock).
Steam Leaderboards — compete globally for Highest Level Reached and Total Monster Kills. This is still experimental and I'll be working the kinks out as people start getting active in it. Access it by pressing "L".
Combat Overhaul
Status Effect Visuals — enemies now visibly show what's afflicting them: burning, poison, frost, shock, stun, and hit flashes all read at a glance.
Elemental Weaknesses & Resistances — every region now has an elemental identity. Forest creatures burn easily, the Corrupted dungeon's beasts buckle to frost, and the undead of the Cemetery fear lightning. Your spell choices matter.
Smarter, deadlier enemies — the Lich and Fallen Angel can now cast Frost Bolt.
Poison Arrow now deals proper damage over time.
Quality of Life
Audio Settings — independent Master, Music, and SFX volume sliders.
Reset Potion — fully respec your attribute points and spell trees whenever you want for 250 gold.
Compare Tooltips — hover an item and hold Shift to compare it side-by-side with your equipped gear.
Redesigned Crafting Window — a cleaner, larger layout that shows materials, costs, and upgrade progress at a glance.
In-Game Bug Report & Feedback Tools — report issues right from the pause menu (it even auto-detects errors).
Autosave every couple of minutes, plus a save backup so your progress is safer.
Inventory polish — item stacking fixed, a "scroll for more" hint, and you can now equip two of the same ring.
Balance & Economy
Rebalanced buy/sell prices and closed a gold-farming exploit.
Overhauled the loot system for more reliable, consistent drops.
Bug Fixes (highlights)
Spells now cast on the first press (no more double-tapping).
Closed an exploit that let you equip shop items without buying them.
Only one potion per turn now (no more chugging).
Fixed a false "stun" icon appearing on enemies.
Health/mana now regenerate every turn as intended.
Long dialogue and journal text no longer overflows its box.
I know this has been a long time coming but and I appreciate everyone who comes back and gives this update a try. If you enjoy it then please leave a review on the steam page, it helps greatly. More to come Mageknights!

If you've already played through — there will be reasons to return. If you've been on the fence, now's a good time to wishlist and keep an eye out.

Hello Friends, it's been quite a while since I've posted any kind of update for this game. When I launched this game initially I ran into an issue of incredible reload times when compiling code due to the nature of the way this game was coded. It was my first game ever and it's foundation isn't solid. This game was and still is something I want to be great. I've not given up on it. I plan to completely rebuild this game in a way that will allow for it to be expanded upon instead of remaining stagnant. This will mean that player saves will be lost and multiple systems will be completely reworked for the better. I don't know exactly when I will begin this rework but rest assured it will happen. Thank you all for your patience.

Greetings fellow Mage Knights! Patch 1.2 is now live!
Updates Include:
Vampire's Touch quest and Spell has been added. This spell compliments physical damage play style but can be upgraded to leech Mana as well, giving spell casters an edge.
Vitality Stat has been buffed to give 1 Health Regen per 10 Vitality. This effect ticks steadily on a time interval out of combat or once per turn in combat.
Soul Stat has been buffed to give 1 Mana Regen per 10 Soul. This effect ticks steadily on a time interval out of combat or once per turn in combat and will give players more flexibility to lean towards the magic play style.
Brace/Ogre Strength spamming has been fixed and no longer stacks strength infinitely.
Potion usage going into the negative should be fixed now.
Shop Inventory no longer clears completely in a bugged fashion. (This may help with Player inventory not loading bug)
Nemesis Rep Orbs have been buffed from 3 Rep to 5 Rep when each orb is consumed.
Forsaken Journal Entries are now Collectible and can be viewed by opening the Main Menu while in game. After Lore is collected in the world the Player can Replay note audio at any time from this menu.
Patsy Witherbones now has a repeatable High End quest so players can continue beating the snot out of that poor old man to trigger his secret fight.
Some World Text has been added to explain game objects better.
I've not addressed the Equipment swapping at the shop or the Stamina Flask quest being repeatable just yet but they're on the to-do list as well as the plethora of other bugs still out there. In the future I will most likely be giving some love to spell casters among a few other bug fixes. Thank you all for your support on this long road!
Hello again friends! This was a small bug update to fix a few various items, however the main fixes are: -Stamina Flask quest rewards and other consumables should now be able to properly go into the player's inventory -Players can now gain Shield experience when blocking attacks.
Hello again friends!
This was a small bug update to fix a few various items, however the main fixes are:
-Stamina Flask quest rewards and other consumables should now be able to properly go into the player's inventory
-Players can now gain Shield experience when blocking attacks.
-Leveling up now increases your attribute points by 2.
-Getting stuck in a "Sacrifice Gem" loop at the shrines should no longer occur.
I am aware there are is still a bug with item rewards spawning like crazy on some monsters. This may also coincide with not being able to use some consumables in your inventory, if this occurs then just save and restart your game. Thank you all again for your patience as I work to resolve these bugs!

Greetings Mage Knights! I've been combing through the various bug lists that you all have been graciously sending me and I've been trying to get the most egregious offenders taken care of first. There will be more bug fixes to come but for now here's a list of bugs that should be fixed as of this update:
Consumable Rework: I've Reworked Potions in an effort to free up inventory space and have them not consuming more than 1 per click. A tutorial section has been added for them and you can access your consumables by pressing 'E' now.
Multiple Save/Load Slots Added: Your previous game save is located in Load Slot 1 when you load up the game now. You can rename your various save/load slots and take advantage of having multiple character saves.
Iron Bark Set Fix: The Iron Bark set will no longer curse your stats to go into the negative when equipping/unequipping. It is once again a good starter set.
Shop Glitch: The root of the Shop Glitch is still there but I have added a buyback option to regain any gear you may lose until this is remedied correctly. Any items you sell will appear at the bottom of the Shop Keeper's list of items.
Cemetery Corpse Key: The key on the body located in the Cemetery now drops the correct key to access the end game relic located behind the Living Tree in the Dark Forest.
Infinite Loops: The infinite loop caused by entering town and encountering a monster at the same time should not occur anymore.
General UI Improvements: Opening the Infusion table and Blacksmith Crafting will now open your character sheet.
Corrupted Earth Dungeon Portal: Using portals to go to and from the Corrupted Earth Dungeon should not prevent you from accessing your character sheet and your main menu now.
Fire Shrine: The Fire Shrine should be able to be interacted with now in the Corrupted Earth Dungeon.
Shield Skills: Shield skills will now display correctly if you have bonus shield level added to your stats.
I appreciate all your feedback and hope this patch smooths out most of the glaring issues you all have been encountering. Thank you for your patience and I hope you all continue to enjoy the game as more fixes and content are put in place!

Greetings Mage Knights, this revert should remedy the town walking glitch for the moment while I fix a list of bugs I've been collecting since launch. Expect another update sooner rather than later to fix the handfuls of bug reports.
Avoid using the Iron Bark set for the time being as removing pieces will bring your stats into the negative and the shop has been known to swap and sell items you're not intending to sell.
I very much appreciate your patience during these rocky first few days!
