On May 8-11, we are back to PAX East to showcase Kriegsfront Tactics. Thank you to everyone who visited the booth and showed interest in more updates to come!

We are back this year at PAX East to showcase Kriegsfront Tactics with the latest prologue demo build we have. Being back in 2025, we are motivated to showcase our steady progress through the years for all our fans in PAX East. With the help of our Toge crews, who flew in from Indonesia, they were accompanied by our fantastic community volunteers from various parts of the United States.

As you are aware, we are currently developing and showcasing two titles from Toge Productions: Kriegsfront Tactics and Whisper Mountain Outbreak. Knowing that we were well-received by many during PAX East, we are excited to showcase more content that will be announced soon this year.

Our game director and CEO of Toge Productions, Kris Antoni, explains the features, gameplay loop details, the squad system, and many more in the trailer.

The trailer also includes exclusive commentary from Toshiro Tsuchida, the creator of Front Mission. We're incredibly honored by his support for Kriegsfront Tactics—his work has been one of the major sources of inspiration for our project.

Kriegsfront Tactics took place in an alternate 1970s Southeast Asia, where you, as the commander, must survive behind enemy lines. If you're a classic tactical mecha combat fan, you will be familiar with all the features we bring to the title.

The war-torn jungles of Nusanesia are your playground. Manage your squad, plan out your survival, and decide when to fight or flee. The more battles you fight, the harder it is for your squad to survive and maintain their Krieger mechs.

Recruiting more pilots around the world by visiting multiple gaming events with Kriegsfront Tactics!

Closing out 2024 marks the second year we announced Kriegsfront Tactics on Steam. This year in July, we also launched the vertical slice prologue (with more features coming soon!).It’s been an incredible journey reaching this point, creating a passion project as a spiritual successor to the classics. To share our passion to eager pilots, we did a visit to multiple gaming conventions where we showcased the latest build of Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue, which also available to play for free on Steam.

Level Up KL 2024: Getting nominated and received an award!

We attended Level Up KL from October 1-3 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. As one of Southeast Asia’s largest annual gaming events, Level Up KL showcases and nominates new and upcoming games. To our surprise, we received the Best Game Design Award for this year! Knowing our hard work has paid off, we’re more excited than ever to continue developing and bringing you the best of Kriegsfront Tactics!

PAX Aus 2024: Returning to PAX Aus, the second tactical showcase!

It’s been a while since Toge Productions last attended PAX Australia, but this year we had the chance to return. The event took place from October 11-13 at the Melbourne Convention Centre. This was our second time showcasing Kriegsfront Tactics at PAX Aus, the first being at PAX Aus 2022. The updated prologue demo created enthusiasm among both our veteran pilots and new recruits.

Gamescom Asia 2024: The final overseas event attended this year.

In a previous announcement, we showcased our visit to Gamescom Cologne. In addition, another Gamescom event, Gamescom Asia, took place at the Suntec Singapore Convention Center from October 17-20, 2024. Our booth was filled with eager new recruits excited to try out the prologue demo. Despite this being our first time at Gamescom Asia, we were amazed by the high euphoria and anticipation for Kriegsfront Tactics. The demo was well-received all day long during the event.

We just received a report that we've reached 75,000 wishlists—a significant achievement for us and a source of motivation to keep developing the game steadily. We've been working hard behind the scenes as we move into October. Unfortunately, we can't show you any teaser yet, but a new update announcement will be presented later. Please look forward to what we'll showcase soon once it's ready.

We also send our warm regards to our new pilots from the Tokyo Game Show and PAX West this year, where we received a fantastic reception. It has been incredible to see so many people anticipating and keeping Kriegsfront Tactics on their radar. We promise to deliver the best experience for our fans, with many more features to be added beyond what the Prologue currently covers. So, Pilots, please continue supporting us!

Presenting Kriegsfront Tactics at Tokyo Game Show 2024

We have a station covered for Kriegsfront Tactics during TGS 2024. Our crews stationed in Japan helped us showcase the booth. As a love letter to Front Mission fans, the attendees are eager to know when the next build and the game will be released. As you can see from the picture, we also brought a pair of Coffee Talk plushies. Who knows, we might meet some Coffee Talk fans.

Located in the indie area of TGS, we proudly showcase the game as an Indonesian indie studio.

The demo station for Kriegsfront Tactics rarely empties at PAX West 2024

During PAX West, there were a lot of people giving a vast impression of Kriegsfront Tactics. We will surely be back next year to showcase the latest update on the Prologue. It was a busy week for us during PAX West, and we need to note some critical feedback during the show. The wait is over! Jump straight into your Krieger and defeat your enemies where factions collide for freedom and power in Kriegsfront Tactics - Prologue. Experience the opening story of Kriegsfront Tactics, where you can get 1-2 hours of gameplay. You are the commander of a squad of Kriegers in the ongoing conflict in the alternate 1970s Southeast Asia. On whose side you are fighting for? Survive the jungle battlefield with all you have while your morality is tested.

A sneak peek of the tutorial for newcomers to the genre.

Explore with caution. Any encounter might be the last for your squad.

The prologue include tutorials to guide newcomers learn the basics. You also will encounter enemies that might be stronger than your squad, so be careful while exploring the depths of Nusanesia's jungle. Explore the depths of Nusanesia areas of mountains and forests by visiting different areas that can help your squad achieve your objectives.

Fend off your foes and get the spoils to upgrade your Krieger.

As a commander, help your squad resupply, repair, and change their Krieger parts. Always be cautious on every corner where you don't know what lurks within might be stronger than you think. Advance with caution and execute strategic decisions, ensuring your squad's survival to see another day.

Don't forget to change your loadout. In the end, Kriegers are expendable.

Their lives depend on your command, even when a simple operation goes not your way. No matter how big or small the importance is, keep your squad alive, even if their Krieg loses an arm or leg part. After all, Krieger mechs are expendable on the battlefield.

A Prologue Vertical Slice

Now that we've delivered the turn-based tactical mecha combat, we've been working hard to add the RPG experience into our Procedural Tactical RPG and package it into one cohesive experience.

When we say RPG, we're not just talking about the stats and leveling mechanics; we're also talking about the world, the characters, the story, and other narrative elements that make a role-playing game great. Our team has been working non-stop to tie in all the mechanics into a playable vertical slice, and after many months, that RPG vertical slice is now almost complete.

With that said, we are happy to announce that we'll be releasing this vertical slice as a prologue on Steam for FREE! It will be available for you to download on July 18, 2024.

The prologue doesn't have the procedural system implemented yet (that will be for another milestone update), but here are the things that you'll find in this RPG vertical slice:

Prologue Story

This vertical slice will serve as the prologue chapter, an opening introduction that kicks off the events that trigger the conflict in the full game.

Mecha Customization & Stats

You'll be able to customize your mechs and see how your pilots level up their skills.

Not only that, you can change each mech's body parts and weapon load out, you can also customize their paint job and cosmetics.

Exploration

We've added a world exploration layer where you can roam around, discover new places, and encounter events that'll tell you a bit more about the characters and the world of Kriegsfront Tactics.

For the first time, Toge Productions will attend Gamescom 2023 as a collaboration booth with The Iterative Collective, which will be happening from August 23-27 at Koelnmesse GmbH in Cologne, Germany. Kriegsfront Tactics is a homage to the classic tactical turn-based mecha tactics, taking place in alternate 1970s during an era of conflict in Southeast Asia. You will take control a squad of Kriegers (read: mechas) to survive another day in the jungle warfare of several factions.

We have updated the new combat demo and will showcase our recent progress during Gamescom. We are eager to see your feedback on our updated showcase, as this will be a foundation of what's to come for the prologue that will be expected to come soon. Some of the Toge crews will also be present on-site to chat with you, and share some special goodies!

Delves deeper into the history of Kriegsfront Tactics with the third episode in the Kriegsfront devlog series. Whether you're just joining in or have been supporting us from the start of the development, let's take a look at how it all started.

This Devlog is a behind-the-scenes series about the game development process of Kriegsfront Tactics. In this episode, we showed our development journey reviving the mecha TRPG genre, from when we started to our current progress. We describe briefly how all of the processes of how Kriegsfront Tactics become from its initial prototype, design update, diorama editor, and the recent combat demo. We are committed to bringing you the best of turn-based, mecha tactics RPG as how we envisioned it 5 years ago. We hope you enjoy our series and stay tuned for more updates that will come this year.

In this third episode, Kris Antoni, the Game Director of Kriegsfront Tactics, will briefly unfold the history behind Kriegsfront Tactics until its current development. As an Indonesian game developer studio, we put much of our vision of how we see mecha tactics games from our perspective and how we explore the gameplay we want by combining designs and foundations we are deeply passionate about. The backing from our community around the world that had been garnered from the different types of games we released also enabled us to explore new genres that we never made before, leading us to the creation and continuous development of Kriegsfront Tactics.

Kriegsfront Tactics is making an appearance in TactiCon 2023, a digital event on Steam for strategy video games organized by Hooded House and Firesquid. TactiCon 2023 is commencing on Steam from 11th May until 15th May, where you can try out a selection of the best strategy games showcased each year. With a wide variety of genres such as deckbuilding, base building, tactical RPG, grand strategy, and turn-based tactics, there’s a game that will catch your attention.

Krigsfront Tactics features low-poly 3D graphics that will grab the attention of old and new fans of the genre.

Kriegsfront Tactics is a turn-based tactical mecha RPG in the alternate 1970s, during an era of conflict in Southeast Asia. Take a role as the commander of an estranged squad to survive another day in the signature jungle environment that surrounds Southeast Asia. This time in TactiCon we want to showcase the non-linear, dynamic gameplay of how the game will come to be in the final build. Updating from the previous demo, we hope to show more gameplay to excite our fans.

Take control of a squad of pilots with different Krieger loadouts offering different playstyles.

We are bringing out the updated demo of Kriegsfront Tactics with a new map-level design to try out. Bringing another layer of tactical warfare to the battlefield with a new pilot character with his mecha and weapon. It will be a whole new experience compared to our latest demo showcase, where we want to showcase the high replayability value of our level design. We highly recommend our fans to play the demo, and we look forward to your response.

A new, updated demo with higher replayability value that's getting closer to our final projection for Kriegsfront Tactics.

The two upcoming games for the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom 2024 we were showcasing: ːsteamthisː Kriegsfront Tactics (Prologue) ːsteamthisː Moses & Plato - Last Train to Clawville

The Booth was located at the Indie Arena Booth area, Hall 10.2, Booth S31 and S32.

The feedback was coming in on the first day of the event. People who were anticipating the game left some notes on the booth.

A booth visit from the Head Chief of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia!

More people started flocking to our booth, and our volunteers were ready to help!

We also got some media coverage. Thank you for the visit!
