Evil Dead: The Game is an over-the-top co-op and PvP game where you'll step into the shoes of Ash Williams or his friends from the iconic Evil Dead franchise... or take control of a Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and others while possessing Deadites, the environmental objects & more as you seek to swallow their souls! Whatever floats your boat. No judgment.
New to the Game of the Year Edition is Brock Williams who joins his fellow Survivors in the battle against evil, while Baal has arrived to make their lives hell. Alongside swanky new outfits launching with the GOTY edition, a new Survivor and Demon each bring new strategies and ways to play, so we’ve put together our top tips to help you dish out more damage than you take.
Ash’s old man is now available as a playable Survivor inspired by the STARZ series “Ash vs Evil Dead”.
Brock is a versatile Survivor who’s defined by having a different aura in each game, depending on the composition of the team. The aura parameters will be set once the team composition has been determined, and will change depending on the following factors: the class of each team member, and if there is a team member from the Williams family (or not).
Each Leader on the team increases Brock’s aura fear reduction
Each Warrior on the team increases Brock’s melee damage
Each Hunter on the team increases Brock’s ranged weapon damage
Each Support on the team increases Brock’s aura cooldown speed
————
Every member of the Williams family increases the defense provided by Brock’s aura
Every non-member of the Williams family increases Brock’s healing aura
It’s important to pay attention to your team’s composition, and adjust your playstyle as Brock accordingly.
For example, if you have more Warriors on your team, you should be aggressive as a melee fighter, as all Survivors get a boost to melee weapon damage. If you have a lot of Hunters on your team, it’s better to loot for and use ranged weapons, as all Survivors would get a boost to the range damage they inflict on the enemy. Make sure to stick close by your team and help them reduce their fear, especially if you have Leaders on your team that help you increase your aura fear reduction as Brock.
Top Tips for the Schemer Demon
The Schemer is a Demon designed to confuse Survivors to make them paranoid and to play on their fear at all times. This Demon features Baal as the Boss - the infamous Demon inspired by the STARZ series “Ash vs Evil Dead”! The Schemer has two active abilities:
With the first active skill you will be able to activate all traps within range, even those in cooldown. This can come in very handy if you’ve set a number of traps and are looking to surprise a team of Survivors who are in range.
The Schemer's second active ability is: "Mass Paranoia." This ability creates team confusion by targeting a Survivor to make them appear to be possessed by the rest of their teammates. "Mass Paranoia" also applies to demon units; possessing a demon unit causes Survivors to see all nearby units as "possessed."
As a Schemer Demon, you should place as many traps as possible across the map where you anticipate Survivors to visit, both with your active skill and manually with Spirit Points.
It’s also important to possess the Boss (Baal) and Elite units to take control when there are many survivors around. That way you can damage them all with your area of effect attacks. Make sure to also use “Mass Paranoia” on Deadites and Survivors to create confusion among the survivors!
The Schemer Demon has additional advantages that include:
All his units do more damage the more fear the Survivor has.
Instead of trap portals, this Demon will be able to place scare portals anywhere on the map.
Causes the Survivors' fear to rise on when near Necronomicon page and dagger areas.
The Schemer Demon units that compose the army are as follows:
Baal (Boss): The infamous Demon is centered around fear and area attacks, with more crowd control than any other Boss. Baal automatically shuts off Survivors’ flashlights, increasing their fear just for being near him.
Skinned Proselyte (Elite Unit): Like Baal, this Elite Unit also has two crowd control skills, one area attack (when activated, bloody spikes will come out in all directions from the unit damaging all Survivors in range), and an attack that drops a line of three bloody spikes on the ground, damaging all Survivors in its path.
Meat Puppet (basic unit): This unit has increased attack speed and provides rapid melee attacks against Survivors.
With options to play as either a Survivor or a Demon in the intense 4 v 1 mode, as well as a battle royale-style game mode called Splatter Royale, and a brand new single-player side mission that just launched, there's something for everyone. We hope that you'll jump in and join over 3 million other Survivors and Demons to check out all of the new Game of the Year content in Evil Dead: The Game!
