Ahem, anyway!
We're proud to deliver a brand new bundle with Billy Goat's Parcel Corps! This bundle has a delicious discount, bringing the cost of both games to half price. Be quick, however, as this mega discount is only available until August 28th.
Now, I need to make my way home. I was told the way back was 'under construction'. It better be ready in time without any stupid loops or wrecking balls - avoiding pedestrians is hard enough as is!

Hey racers!
The day is finally here! A calamitous convoy is crashing onto the course with Make Way's massive ‘World Tour’ free update and our first paid DLC, the ‘Legends’ Pack.
These new packs bring a total of 18 new vehicles to the fray alongside new track backgrounds and a major overhaul to online multiplayer.
As part of the free ‘World Tour’ update, eight new vehicles join the party. Celebrate your favourite creators with cars inspired by PietSmiet, Nogla, and Party Crashers; commandeer the community created Disghost, Es-Car-Go, Fred (the duck), and Doug (the fish); or race ruff as mascot mutt Randy from Make Way’s Secret Mode kennelmate Wobbledogs.
Location! Location! Location! Choose from three new backdrops, with a lunar surface, tropical island, and children’s toy room giving the micro world a fresh look. Take down your opponents together in the new Team mode. Create your own paradise of carnage with new odds settings for track pieces. And experience overhauled online play, with improved matchmaking and a server list for finding new foes.
Want even more? Ten brand new vehicles are available in the ‘Legends’ Pack, bringing the total number of in-game machines to a whopping 52. Pity some fools from the Plan Van, smash some ghouls in the Spooky Machine, reach the optimum number of gigawatts in The Continuum, and discover more homages to the worlds of sci-fi, action, and comedy. The ‘Legends Pack’ paid DLC is available for $4.99/£3.99/€4.99 on all platforms.
As if that wasn’t enough, Make Way will be free on Steam, running from 6pm BST on 14th May to 6pm BST on 18th May, then 75% off until 28th May on Steam.

Hey folks!
It was great to see so many of you jump in and design cars for Make Way, as part of the competition we announced during August, where selected winners will see their designs added to the game in a future update. There were so many fantastic cars that it was tough for the Ice Beam and Secret Mode teams to pick the winners!
But we got there in the end. So without further ado, the designs that will be making their way into the game in a future update are:
‘Fred’ by zane100long
‘Es-Car-Go’ by topplox
‘DISGHOST!’ by _molo_
‘Doug’ by masterairscrach666
Congratulations to the winners, and a massive thank you to everyone who participated!
Keep an eye on Secret Mode channels and make sure you’re in the Make Way Discord server, to stay up to date on when designs will be joining the in-game action.

To enter, join our Discord and post your design in the ‘Community Cars’ channel.
FOUR* community-designed cars will make their way into Make Way. Below are the rules for entering:

Submit your entry via a post in the “Community Cars” channel in our Discord. Only entries sent in this channel will be considered.
Nothing NSFW or offensive.
No use of generative AI tools or programs is allowed.
The competition closes on 29 August 2025, 12:00 pm BST.
Your car must have wheels.
There can't be any animated parts, such as wings.
Only one entry per person.
Digital and traditionally drawn cars are welcome to be submitted!
Winning entries will be added in a future update; the date for this is TBC.
The winning designs will be selected by the Ice Beam and Secret Mode teams. Good luck to all entrants!
*There is a chance we end up using more than four, but that is the current goal.

Following the 1.3 Patch last month, some of you made us aware of a few issues which we've taken time to investigate.
We've now rolled out a small hotfix which addresses the following issues:
Ice Drop physics fixed
Adjustments to keyboard vector to improve keyboard handling and physics
A null reference check in track piece selection (Assists with preventing desync)
Game now correctly detects the monitors refresh rate
Ghosted cars are no longer slower than non-ghosted cars
This should get things back on track for all players.

Get ready to ruin even more friendships! A free update has arrived for Make Way, introducing a wide range of additions and improvements, including a much-requested feature: more racers!
This update adds the following features:
6 PLAYERS! Max players increased from 4 to 6.
FULLY CUSTOMISABLE GAMES! Introducing a new weapon / item toggle menu.
3 NEW VEHICLES! Including the new ‘Milk Truck’ based on the streamer SMii7Y.
BATTLE MODE RULES! New pre-set rules to jump straight into the action.
BULLDOZER! This new item allows players to remove/destroy parts of the track.
Players can now face off against five of their friends and rivals in local* and fully cross-platform online races, with all six racers battling to pick up track pieces, build something resembling a coherent track, and smash each other into the void as they fight for victory. It's all the chaos of Make Way, pushed to the extreme!
With six players in the mix, things on the track are bound to get hectic, so why not calm it down a little? Deploy the new Bulldozer track piece to clear away some of the obstacles that your rivals have put down and make yourself a path to victory... or leave space for an even deadlier item.
Players will also have more choice over how they race, with the Custom race mode being even more customisable than before. Increase the final score limit, change how many fails it takes to trigger a checkpoint skip, and more, to create your own racing heaven (or hell). You can even set which weapons and obstacles show up in the game and adjust the rates at which they appear. Tailor your combinations for a balanced game or turn off all the walls and put shotguns absolutely everywhere. The choice is yours.
On top of all that, there are three new vehicles to bash your friends with. Take the kids for a drive in the Crumple Zone, feel like a real racer in the Thunder, or force a daily dose of calcium on your foes in the Milk Truck, modelled after streamer and Make Way lover SMii7Y.
As if all of that wasn't enough, new trading cards, badges and emotes will be available as part of the update.
So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and get racing!

*Six-player local multiplayer is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Hi racers,
Today we're rolling out a huge update on the beta branch, with Patch 1.2 bringing a heap of improvements to online play, alongside some other gameplay tweaks to make for an even smoother racing experience.
To celebrate, Make Way will be available at a 40% discount for the next seven days! It's the perfect opportunity to grab your friends and create some vehicular mayhem.
Patch notes are listed below (there are a lot!), but for anyone who hasn't accessed the beta yet, follow these steps:
Right click 'Make Way' in your Steam Library and select 'Properties' Select 'Betas' In the 'Beta Participation' drop-down select 'patch_1.2' The update should now download
Please note: if you play on the 1.2 patch, you will only be able to play against others on the same patch. This is due to some fundamental changes to how online play works in the new patch, which would cause problems with players on earlier patches on PC or console.
With that in mind, here's a comprehensive list of everything that's been updated and fixed in this bumper patch:
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
Added ability to use bots in an online match
New "client authoritative movement" has been added, making client vehicle / control feel much more responsive when playing online
Added a "relay server" fallback option, to help players with connection issues
Refactored shortcut logic so anyone attempting to take a shortcut won't be killed when offscreen
Added horn timeout to stop players that hold / abuse horn sounds
Added "select vehicle colour" option to the vehicle selection screen
Added "checkpoint skip" logic, so players move to the next checkpoint if they fail a section three times
Add toggle to "hide lobby code" so people streaming the game don't get bombed with random players
Doubled the amount of XP when playing a "race mode" race, meaning "classic mode" will unlock faster for new players
Added an XP multiplier if there are fewer players, so it feels a bit fairer when playing with just two people
Increased machine gun, shotgun, and tesla coil effectiveness
Nerfed the shotgun to one bullet
Added networked player control on vehicles on the victory screen
BUG FIXES
Fixed client shortcuts always being disabled when playing online (which means in most cases they would never work)
Fixed the selected race mode being reset after 3 games when playing online
Fixed numerous de-sync issues when track building
Fixed duplicate players when host and client are both playing on a LAN with certain routers
Fixed track space on special "exit" pieces so players aren't destroyed (and get stuck in a loop) when they are used
Fixed forced auto-selecting track pieces when clients are sometimes picking
Fixed it so that invites work when launching a game on Steam
Fixed some achievements not working on Xbox and Steam
Added message pop-up if client can't join match because of a crossplay mismatch
Fixed the game trying to load a vehicle texture that was already loaded on the select vehicle screen, making the screen lag
Fixed prop spawning so that the trees, and other props, spawn correctly on the Arctic Tundra level
Fixed sudden death win order
Increased minimum amount of checkpoint time when solo, and checked that all pieces have enough time, so that certain sections should now be possible to complete alone
Corrected missing animation on certain (mirrored) track pieces
Added lag compensation for projectiles, so that they are more in sync
Fixed profile issue where middle players signing out would cause logic issues
Stopped machine gun bullet impact VFX spawning on last target if it misses
Fixed some weapon barrels being rotated incorrectly
Fixed vehicles sometimes being permanently inflated

Hi racers,
A small update to share - today we've rolled out Patch 1.1 on a dedicated beta branch, which introduces the following fixes:
* Fixes the duplicate player bug when playing the game on certain LAN set-ups. * Fixes the connection issues certain players are experiencing by using the fallback relay server. * Fixes the shortcut logic not working on clients. * Fixes the invites not working outside the game on Steam.
We're opening this branch up for everyone to sample ahead of our wider rollout, and you can access it immediately by using the following steps:
Right click 'Make Way' in your Steam Library and select 'Properties'
Select 'Betas'
In the 'Beta Participation' drop-down select 'patch_1.1'
The update should now download
This branch shouldn't prevent players playing with other platforms, or players on patch 1.0.

We're celebrating the Steam Next Fest with the release of a multiplayer demo of the forthcoming chaotic racing game with a DIY twist, Make Way.
Speed around loops, dart through train crossings, drift around helter skelters, and unleash wacky weaponry in this modern take on classic top-down multiplayer racing games. The twist? You build the track.
Some of the Secret Mode (the publishers of Make Way) Agent got together to record a stream of what you can expect from the Demo. Who is the champ? Watch the stream to find out!
About the demo: In the demo, you'll have access to the slightly more relaxed Race Mode, or you can ramp up the chaos in Classic Mode which adds weapons and removes some of the walls keeping you on the track. There are eleven cars to pick from and a host of track pieces and obstacles to place, including the dastardly Drawbridge and the seriously silly Side Fan. Some of these pieces are unlocked as you play – try to reach level 10 to see everything the demo has to offer.

Hey everyone! Say hello to Make Way, the chaotic cross-platform DIY racer where up to 4 players battle it out in a series of weapon and trap-filled races across an ever-expanding and changing racetrack.
There are no pre-built courses; instead, players must construct the track together, using a random selection of pieces and hazards (train crossings! loop-de-loops! seesaws!) to invent a unique raceway that gets bigger and wilder every round.
• Mix and match unique track pieces and hazards for near-endless course configurations. • Fight for weapons and power-ups to gain the advantage. • Unlock new track pieces and vehicles for even wackier races. • Up to four players, on the same screen or online with cross-platform multiplayer. • Remove hazards from your races or go full chaos mode and eliminate all safety barriers using fully customisable rulesets.
