Improvements, Known Issues and Fixes
Improvements
We've made a couple of updates to the game based on player feedback!
We've added Closest Putt as an option to Bubs' Many Golfs in the Homestar Runner Distraction Pack
For Quick Match, course offerings are now refreshed every 30 minutes instead of every 60 minutes
On Steam, we've upgraded to the OpenXR plugin, which should provide more stability when launching the game
Last one's a big one: We're happy to finally debut Steam achievements! 20 are available for you to earn, so get out there and start achievin'!
Known Issues
There is a slight blurring on the edges of our "Resume Game" and "Main Menu" scorecard buttons. We have a fix with our next update!
In Forgotten Fairyland, hole 13 on Hard mode previously had a fix for the increased ball timeouts around the bends of the green. We must be haunted, as this seems to have creeped back as an issue. Fear not, we've scheduled a re-fix for it with our next update.
For our Steam Index players, you may notice that the Grip-to-Puppet is not functional. Just like the above, we have a solution in place with our next update, so you will soon be reunited with your socks soon!
We're looking into Quest reports around voice misbehavior, such as player's being unable to hear others/be heard, and having overall low master mic volume, which seemed to have spiked with v2.6 of the Quest OS. We're investigating both internally and querying outside partners to hopefully find an explanation.
Fixes
We've got a few fixes a for how Custom Calibration applies on SteamVR!
Players can now properly apply their calibration, where broken previously
The putter hand now mirrors the controller's rotation so the player can see the grip angle they are setting. Additionally, the UI laser pointer is hidden for the whole calibration view.
The animation of the sheep in Quixote Valley now loops properly, bringing the fluffy creatures back to their idyllic grazing
Tethys Station no longer causes game crashes for players on PSVR2
Asian language characters now properly display in the animated scenes' speech bubbles for the Homestar Runner Distraction Pack
Exiting an activity could occasionally leave players at different Welcome Island spots; we've made improvements so players are properly returned to the Shack

30+ hidden animated scenes throughout the game
6 unique avatars and a custom ball trail to channel your favorite characters
3 hole celebrations (1 to start and 2 more to unlock)
A Strong Bad Welcome Island takeover, featuring PA announcements by your favorite characters.
This pack is truly unlike anything we have ever done, and thus includes a few things worth noting that are different than our standard course releases.
While there are many activities in this pack, not all of those activities are multiplayer. Bubs' Many Golfs, Tourist Crap and Dangeresque are all compatible with multiplayer, though!
Speaking of Bubs' Many Golfs, that does include 18 holes and lost balls! However, unlike other releases, there is no "Hard Mode" for this pack, so the putters will be earned elsewhere!
Known Issues and Fixes
Known Issues
We're continuing to investigate a spike in Quest crash reports, and are troubleshooting directly with Meta. We hope to have an update soon!
We've received an uptick in reports around custom calibration settings not maintaining between sessions, and/or players being unable to apply any calibration changes in SteamVR. We're looking into a fix for this in a future update.
The distant hill sheep animation isn't looping in Quixote Valley. We have a fix in a future update to get these sheep back to their idyllic grazing.
We are continuously developing fixes and improvements to both our overall systems and older courses, in-between creating new courses and Walkabout content. For any issues you encounter, we encourage you to review our Support Known Issues webpage for additional details there; please report the encountered bug(s) if you cannot find a solution in our FAQs. We thank everyone who plays Walkabout and hope to continue crafting a smooth, fun gameplay experience for all!
Fixes
We've reduced the activation time for triggering a hole celebration, so your chosen celebration will play almost instantly after scoring. Thanks to everyone who has tried out the new celebrations and provided feedback!
We've addressed reports from multiplayer rooms reporting spottiness with seeing and hearing the hole celebration trigger; these celebrations should fire off more timely (see above) and be consistently present.
We've repaired a prior bug where any player who left a Closest Putt round and returned could break scoring. This now functions as intended, with scores accurately tallied and maintained for anyone who leaves and rejoins a Closest Putt round.
Beforehand, any player who shot their ball OOB in a Closest Putt match could result in the winner's score being wildly inaccurate. Now, the math should be a little more reasonable looking for distance calculated.
We've repaired a bug in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland where the potion pools for both Easy and Hard would not restore if a player resets the match after playing all 18 holes of the round. Now, potion pools properly replenish and players can securely reset their Wonderland rounds.
We've restored the Meta button + trigger screenshot shortcut for Quest devices. This shortcut now functions appropriately and no longer triggers teleport to ball. Happy screenshotting!

New Quick Match UI
After our short public test, we are ready to roll out our brand new Quick Match UI!
When selecting the Quick Match option, you will receive a total of 9 options in a 3x3 grid. The first column will include 3 base game options, the second column will include 3 DLC options, and the third column will include 3 specialty options, such as Race Mode, Closest Putt, and Mini/Giant Mode. These options can include the Easy and Hard mode versions of the courses, too!
This update also adds the ability to filter by language, and an indicator to show which courses already have someone waiting for someone to play with them. A "First Available" option will quickly get you in and putting, similar to the previous Quick Match functionality.
Additionally, you may find at the conclusion of a match that you'll now be asked about your experience with your Quick Match opponent. This is a product our new Ratings system, meant to be a very quick check-in to see if the players in your matches happened to behave exceptionally and thus deserve a special shoutout!
New Cosmetics
We're very excited to unveil two new cosmetic types for Walkabout Mini Golf!
Players can now choose from a few select golf ball trails that follows their ball when in motion as well as a few hole celebrations to show off your successful putts in style. To view these options, head over to the Welcome Island shack and take a look to the left of the golf ball tray. There will be a total of 3 ball trails and hole celebrations included in the base game to get you started!
From there, head on out to a course of your choosing and show off your skills in style! Regardless of the ball trail you select (or if you select one at all), the trails will appear more vibrant and distinguished than before. If you so choose, you can disable ball trails altogether in your settings.
Updated Avatar Packs
As a result of the new cosmetics we mentioned above, we are making some updates to our Fraggle Rock, Dark Crystal and Exploding Kittens Avatar Packs.
These packs will now include a unique ball trail and hole celebration that are themed around their respective properties. Anyone who owned an associated Avatar Pack (now called Cosmetic Pack) will have the new effects unlocked automatically.
If you already own the packs, then great news! You will get these new cosmetics free of charge. And if you haven't purchased them yet, these updated Cosmetic Packs are available now for $2.99!
Ambassador Program Updates
We have been working extensively on a complete revamp of our Ambassador program!
Our Endorsed Groups, Recognized Tournaments and Volunteer Moderators are now all folded into the Ambassador umbrella, and will now all be known as Ambassadors going forward. Additionally, we have made a number of improvements and changes to program benefits and applications.
For more details on the changes, for more info, follow this link.
Hole Records on the Wristwatch
We're excited to share that we have added a highly requested quality-of-life improvement into Walkabout!
We've added the ability to see your hole records on the Wristwatch. It's never been easier to check your stats and make some new records!
Known Issues and Fixes
Known Issues
We're aware that Hole 13 on Passport: Tokyo Easy no longer guarantees a Hole-in-One when landing your ball into the donut just off the stairs. We're looking into potential fixes in the future!
Fixes
We've made a number of improvements on the Friends system behind the scenes. If you happen to notice any quirks or issues, please feel free to report them so we can keep improving!
We've quickly repaired the room hosting bug that paused our Quick Match public test and have done some polishing to get it release-ready.
We've also made a few adjustments toPassport: Hollywood thanks to your feedback!
We tweaked the greens ramps on hole 12 to reduce the likelihood of ball timeouts occurring; gameplay should be smoother here!
Very important: bananas are now properly ripe and yellow instead of that nasty, rotten black (aka we fixed the lighting issue).
Clue 1 of the Foxhunt now properly leaves a ghost clue where it was picked up.
Save data on the PSVR2 is now more robust with this update, with online and offline behavior now being properly saved to the correct profiles.
We've also restored theFormX Custom Grip Settings on Steam!
Speaking of grips, we fixed an issue where players could get locked out of their controls and gameplay when adjusting their grip settings. We've now got the guard rails in place to ensure you can smoothly customize your grip without losing control!

We released new modes and features!
Mini, Giant, Low Gravity and High Gravity mode are now available on Tiki à Coco and Mount Olympus
Known Issues and Fixes
Known Issues
We've removed the FormX Custom Grip settings for Steam. This is due to the fact that the FormX Custom Grip settings differ between Quest 2 and Quest 3 presets and we do not have a way to detect device type when you launch into SteamVR, making it unable to implement the correct preset. You can still use Grip-To-Putter with Steam with the Custom Calibration feature. It is only the preset that has been removed. We're hoping to implement better device recognition for SteamVR in the future, so stay tuned!
We are aware of a bug that Pico players can encounter where Quick Match can stop functioning properly. Our team is working on publishing a patch build ASAP that addresses this issue!
We've come across a save data discrepancy causing online and offline play being saved in different profiles. We are actively working through this issue and have a fix planned in an upcoming update!
Fixes
We've made improvements to Foxhunts for our offline players! They should now function appropriately while offline, with the clues properly showing on the wrist display.
We've done some general polishing of the functionality of the Friends system! If you happen to encounter an issue with the Friends feature please visit support.mightycoconut.com and open a ticket so we can look into it!
We've also adjusted Tiki à Coco in a number of different ways thanks to your feedback!
We've corrected the bright pink CocoVision screens to the proper color.
We've also cleaned up some floating rocks in the surrounding atoll.
On Hole 16, we've tweaked the left-side borders and slope to reduce ball timeout errors that could occur.
On Hole 9, we've resolved a multiplayer-specific issue where player turn order and hole scoring could become bugged if a player managed to set their ball aflame AND score a hole-in-one simultaneously. We're not even mad, that's amazing! That being said, this hole should now play as intended and keep player score and turn order accurate regardless of how cool your shot is.
On Hole 6, we've adjusted the beginning of the chutes to prevent the ball from coming to rest. Your ball should roll smoothly down the chute as intended.
On Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Hole 8, we have solved ball timeout issues that could occur from the ball continuously rolling in the spinning plate groove. You should now see the ball roll out and settle somewhere on the periphery of the plate.
For 8-Bit Lair, we've cleaned up the "Restart Round" behavior so that text animation and course music plays accurately. We've also double-checked that the final boss has cool battle explosions still, which it DOES!
On Cherry Blossom Hole 17, we tweaked the colliders around the stone lantern.
Heading under the sea to Atlantis, we've added a fix for the fishies! Where some of them were a bit jittery in their swimming, they are back to floating fondly.
Lastly, for our Pico players, we've taken care of an issue where the game could launch incorrectly. You should be able to get to golfing with ease now!

Known Issues and Fixes
Known Issues
We're aware of an issue in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland where the audio of the ball entering the cup sometimes activates inaccurately. We will work on getting this fixed in an upcoming update!
Fixes
We've adjusted the ribbon behind the tee of Holiday Hideaway Hole 10 (on Easy) to prevent a player's ball from rolling underneath it.
We've changed the greens a bit around some of the bends of Forgotten Fairyland Hole 13 to prevent ball timeout errors.
The par of Passport: Tokyo (Hard) has been updated to the correct count of 55.
We've rearranged the tableware on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Hole 12 to be more forgiving of stray shots; the ball should stay more securely within the playable area.
Adjustments have been made to the potion bottles on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Hole 18; players should not experience a stuck ball or ball timeout errors.
The leave/rejoin behavior for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland now functions appropriately and preserves the player's ball scale and course scores/progress.

You're now able to add all of your buddies to your Friends list, where you will be able to see when they come online and even send and receive invites to join a lobby. It's never been easier to play with your pals!
Course Filters
We've been hard at work adding all sorts of new ways to play Walkabout Mini Golf - slingshots, giant and mini modes, high and low gravity, now chess. It can be hard to keep track of which courses include which features! As a result, we have added the Course Filter functionality. Now you will be able to filter courses and find the modes you want with ease!
To access the feature, navigate to the three-dots button displayed on the bottom right of the middle panel. When you hover over that button, it will allow you to choose between the classic "Random" function (which will now let you choose Easy or Hard version of the randomly selected course instead of assigning one) or displaying filters for our courses with specific features, such as Chess, Slingshots, and Mini/Giant Modes.

Since the release of Walkabout Mini Golf in September of 2020, Mighty Coconut has been hard at work delivering incredibly vibrant and detailed courses on a non-stop cadence. Our game originally launched with four courses. To date, our base game has expanded to 14 courses with an additional 22 DLC for a grand total of 36 courses!
Every course released adds brand new avatar cosmetics, lost balls to utilize and a brand new putter to show off to your friends (after you complete the Foxhunt, of course)!
We have also introduced countless new modes and mechanics into the game, such as Slingshots, Closest Putt, modifiers such as Low/High Gravity and Mini/Giant modes and even Chess! Grip-to-Puppet grabbed the world by the funny bone, our greens have never looked better with players using the Leaf Blower and our "exterminators" have done a fantastic job in the Bug Hunt removing those pesky (yet sweet) critters.
All of this to say, we have grown tremendously over the course of the last year and the last five years, and let us assure you of one thing: We're just getting started.

New: Walkabout Wristwatch Update
⌚ Designed for accessibility and utility, the new watch builds on existing functionality to create a powerful toolset for players to enhance their in-game experience.
The initial launch includes:
Visual Cursor: Players can now quick select wristwatch functions with gaze tracking and single controller, one button input.
Quick Mute: Whether to mask a sneeze, call, IRL conversion, or… other noises… mute is now one quick click away.
Current Player: The current player name now appears listed on the wristwatch display in multiplayer rounds.
Mighty Magnifier: When accessibility settings have the magnifier active, a toggle button allows players to quickly enable/disable the feature for comfort and context.
Activity-Aware UI: With the growing variety of activities such as foxhunts, slingshots and more, players can now reference their wristwatch for status, clues, and even select collectibles. Note: Players can toggle foxhunt clues off.
Instant Replay: Duplicating the B/Y controller button map, we've added an additional way for players to intuitively replay shots.
Activate CocoVision Camera: Quick access to our new in-game camera. Read on for more details!
Introducing: CocoVision Camera
📸 In partnership with LIV— the makers of creator kits for VR— our team is happy to unveil our latest addition to Walkabout Mini Golf for players on LIV-supported platforms (Quest/Rift/Steam): CocoVision Camera. This in-game camera offers players a new toolset for capturing Walkabout content, notably:
Camera Capture to Gallery: Media is directly exported to players’ gallery.
Quick Stills and Videos: Grab pics, clips, and longer-form video as you would from a phone or tablet… in hand, positioned on the course, or floating nearby!
CocoVision Selfies: Say cheese! In addition to a forward-facing mode, selfies allow players to talk directly to the camera.
Locking and Offset: Not only will players be able to capture a first-person view, they can now offset and lock the camera over their shoulder, adjacent to their avatar, or even to a random point in the course to capture gameplay and hijinks alike.
Motion Smoothing: This key feature solves a prevalent issue for platform-level camera capture: unstable and erratic views. Whether in first person or offset positions, the CocoVision Camera can have motion smoothing applied to ensure smooth pans and pivots, and quick actions such as flying.
NOTE: CocoVision Camera is only available on platforms where LIV is supported. CocoVision Camera is currently exclusive to Quest, Rift, and Steam.
NOTE: CocoVision Camera is experimental. Players may experience issues with performance or bugs while capturing.

New: Putter Selection Updates
Following the ball tray update in v5.5, our team has revamped our putter selection system! The new putter display includes a holding rack and introduces pagination to slim down concurrently viewable putters. Most notably, we now display a generic ghost putter for any undiscovered putters; all putters have a hotlink to their associated course, making it easier for players to know which foxhunts they need to complete.
New: Loading Screen Tips
We've added tips and tricks to the Coconut loading screen for your reading pleasure.
Shack Course Listing Reorganization
With the inclusion of more courses in our base game, we have rearranged the Shack course display with an updated front-page view and a new "Classics" listing page.
Pocket Edition: 'Upside Town' Now Available
Players can now putt through this gravity-defying cityscape while on-the-go. Mobile Players, ICYMI: Check out our new 'Standard Mode' gameplay! Standard Mode is our new vertical-only, non-gyro mode that relies purely on swipe-and-tap and pinch/pull motion for players to navigate and play. This mode sets players into a locked camera position behind the ball and allows for a smooth, casual gameplay experience.

New slingshot stands are available in Sweetopia 🍭 and Zerzura 🏜️

Grip-to-Putter 3 Available Now 🏌️
We've partnered with FormX Design for the latest iteration of Grip-to-Putter controller attachments! Our Mount Olympus DLC release will update the custom settings page with a new v3 calibration preset and in-game wristband cosmetic to accompany the Grip-to-Putter 3 accessory. Grip-to-Putter 3 is available for Quest 2/3/3S and soon, PSVR2.
Legacy preset calibrations for v1 and v2 Grip-to-Putters will still be available through the Welcome Island Shack settings menu.
ICYMI: Slingshots are now installed in Shangri-La! 🥮
Over shadowy chasms and between a maze of bridges, players can now enjoy the meditative act of target practice in the Himalayas.
Fixes
Achievement hunters rejoice! We've fixed the Amateur Status, Target Master, & Iron Putter PSVR2 trophies.
Controller smoothing can now be used while custom calibration settings are enabled
Our team made some fixes across the Viva las Elvis course, the most notable being:
H13: Ball now stays inside the slot machine and correctly rolls down the chute
H14: The scorecard and wrist display now show the same, correct scoring
H18: The ball will now consistently sink into the cup when putted into the final area
Our team is still working with Meta to address the underlying cause of putter hitching and tracking reports we've been receiving. While we continue to work through this issue, we have added a new 'Putter Tracking Guard' toggle in the Settings menu, under the Putter tab. When the toggle is enabled, the putter head becomes disabled if poor tracking/performance is detected, in order to minimize errant or inaccurate putts. We have also made under-the-hood fixes to address performance and clean-up.
Please note: Any "hitching" or tracking issues that may arise during gameplay have the potential to come from OS updates, environmental factors (lighting, reflections, etc.) and device performance issues. We recommend you try out troubleshooting steps first and review the latest "Putter Glitch" blog on the Walkabout Mini Golf Updates page.
