We are excited to share our plans for the evolution of Pandemic Train. Get ready for an enhanced exploration experience, a more immersive world, and addictive gameplay improvements!
1) Exploration events and side missions:

Dynamic Events: We plan to add events to the game that occur during the exploration phase of specific areas.
Side missions from NPCs: We want our non-playable characters to offer one-time missions to complete
World-building: We will create new map locations with intriguing facts about our post-apocalyptic world.
Improved leader missions: Leader missions will be revamped to provide a more immersive and rewarding experience.
2) Improved train experience:

Passenger Dynamics: Your train will be able to host additional passengers, each with unique goals like getting to a certain destination.
Passenger interaction: You will have the choice to remain neutral or use the passengers for your benefit, adding a moral dimension to your decisions.
Train and exploration: We'd like to make the exploration and train phases more influential on each other
Each of these first two stations of our roadmap will require a couple of months of development. Therefore, we're not giving you any specific dates yet, but you can be sure we're already working on the first part.

We're doing our best to improve the game toward your expectations, even if you report something easy to fix during the weekend. Therefore, we have a little hot fix for you today!
What does the fix say?
This hotfix contains a fix for the following two bugs reported by you as strongly influencing the experience of playing Pandemic Train after the last update:
When the previous update launched, players who had unfinished runs could not buy any new modules.
Leaders, despite having purchased the "expert" profession upgrade, did not have this upgrade after leaving HQ by train.
What's coming?

New Salesman Kulson:
Meet Kulson, a new vendor who will appear in locations different than those with the Bone Collector. Kulson offers unique goods and items to help you on your Pandemic Train adventure. Be ready for exciting new offerings!
Travel Innovation - "Jump" to selected locations:
Harness the power of metacurrency to leap to your chosen destination! With the latest update, Kovalsky's happy to smuggle you and your crew, enabling strategic movements from HQ across the map… if only you have some extra metacurrency to offer him in exchange. Plan your routes wisely and stay one step ahead of the pandemic.
Persistent Train Modules:
Your train is now more resilient than ever! After facing the challenges of the pandemic head-on, your train's modules will remain intact upon your return to headquarters or even after unfortunate incidents resulting in the loss of a life. - After death, schematics of modules purchased remain, including when returning to Headquarters and completing a Run.
- We added the ability to "jump" to a location of your choice for a metavalue (after reaching a minimum of the third location).
- We added a new salesman - Kulson on maps without Bone Collector
- We added the possibility to skip the tutorial on the train
- We added a button to change the camera angle on the train Changed:

Mevlit has a starting improvement of an additional slot for special items, as described in the Codex.
Bullets shot at you by the enemies won't try to miss the explosive barrels.
You should now see all the tutorial dialogues properly (there was a problem with the first dialogue not appearing to some of the players).
Missing VO for the 1st boss you meet on the 4th run is no longer missing 🙂
If you find a lot of items during exploration with autofight, they will no longer stick out of the box.
Buying alcohol from Olgierd will now unlock a proper description in the Codex and show the alcohol in players' inventory. It will also fix your HP if you assign it to one of your crew members.
Ela shall always have something to say, therefore, her "..." line was deleted from her dialogue.
Your enemies won't run in fear and shock anymore when they see your leaders swap places in the battlefield.

The bar module does not take away action points when you send someone to it - this fixes the actions performed in it (they should be as described).
The name of the Nurse's Office module in Bone Collector has been changed to the correct one, Pharmacy.

We rebalanced gathering water during exploration
Chinese and French localizations got minor UI fixes in the tutorial.
Lara the Dog's side quest should be working properly now.

Creating Pandemic Train was a truly exciting process for all of us. Each day of development was full of new experiences and knowledge. All of us learned something new and improved our skills in game development, which made us feel like the leaders of our Pandemic Train journey. We're hoping you will share our joy and excitement and jump on board :)

Your feedback matters
We're curious about what you think about the game, and we're happy to talk with you about it. If you want to talk with us during the release weekend and afterward, we will try to answer you as soon as possible.
Remember that in Pandemic Train's ESC menu, there is a bug reporter which should make reporting any in-game bugs easier. Reporting them through it will also give us much valuable information on the cause of different issues. This will save us some time and allow us to fix bugs sooner, and more efficiently. Therefore, we will be in your debt if you could report them this way.
If you decide to review our game, here are some requests from us:

If something doesn't work properly or you can't get your head around it, please, contact us before you post a negative review. Feel free to reach out to us in the discussions and report any issues, whether it's a bug or an unclear mechanic. We are ready to support you and will try to address any problems with the game as soon as possible.
If you like the game, please, leave a positive review and tell your friends about Pandemic Train. Each new player gives us more feedback. Each piece of feedback gets thoroughly analyzed to find the most pressing matters and properly prioritize them.
Dev, publishing, and QA teams are all ready to assist you through the whole post-release weekend. However, please, be patient with us. Some matters usually require consulting with several people in the team to settle what can be done about them. We aim to promise you only the things that we're 100% sure about, so please bear with us.

Continuing the theme of the last devlog, you will again read about the combat phase of Pandemic Train. Today, however, we won't write about our leaders or how to help yourself in battle.
Today will be about our enemies.
Special abilities of enemies
Just as each leader has their own unique abilities, the enemies are also different. Today we will talk about three enemies who have abilities that differ from the rest of the group.

Leap
Otterbear jumps great distances, causing a powerful impact at the landing site.

Ambush
Attack by surprise in the hope of infecting the target before it escapes. Watch where you step.

Snipers
Skilled Asesina who aim from a long distance. Even though you can't see them, don't stay in one place when you notice them targeting you. They don't miss... Take cover or dodge!
Infection
Still an enemy, but no longer as easy to defeat as the previous three. The infection in Pandemic Train has changed its in-game action a little. When the infection bar reaches its limit, the infection will start to take over the leader's life bar, limiting their maximum life in exploration as well as on the train.
Auto-exploration
However, when it comes to combat, there is a way for you not to have to do this. Your leaders, of course, have to fight a battle and are still at risk, but this happens without your participation.
To round off today's devlog, we'd like to remind you that there's still a community challenge going on, where you can win up to 15% off the launch price!
