As the temperature outside gets cooler, things are heating up in FUSER with this month’s DLC: the FUSER 2021 Mixtape Pack! This collection of songs is your robust toolbox for crafting mixes inspired by this memorable year! Don’t forget to hit the Diamond Shop and give 2021 a stylish sendoff by dressing your avatar in the latest and most fashionable threads.

The 2021 Mixtape Pack includes four songs and three cosmetic items:

“Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion is an award-winning track that is sure to enhance the impact of your mixes! The song has been nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards Song of the Year and won Best Hip-Hop song, in addition to being recognized by the People’s Choice Awards and the Soul Train Music Awards. The song charted globally, entering the top 10 in Australia, Hungary, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. In the United States, the Houston, Texas native also earned a 4x Platinum certification from the RIAA.

Megan Thee Stallion puts her prowess on display for this beloved song that took the world by storm! This powerful, high-energy track has plenty of complexity, and the low-key groove on the drum disc gives it room to shine. The instantly recognizable lead instrument disc offers a gritty performance on keys and vocal ad-libs that will be a blast to manipulate into new mixes!

“Levitating” by Dua Lipa was featured on her internationally successful album Future Nostalgia, and now it’s joining the FUSER party! This danceable track is the longest-running top ten song on the US Billboard Hot 100 by a female artist, becoming Dua Lipa’s second top-five single in the United States. The song has been nominated for multiple awards including the 2021 MTV Music Video Awards Song of the Year and Song of Summer. “Levitating” has already earned 2x Platinum certification in the United Kingdom, 4x Platinum in the United States, and 5x Platinum in Australia.

The drums set a steady and funky foundation for the track’s celebratory vibe. The lead instrument disc features a sparse but creative synth sound that adds a strummed electric guitar part for the pre-chorus and lifts the energy of the whole arrangement. The lead vocals perfectly highlight the zany and suggestive nature of James’ signature style and highlight the infectious background vocals you can’t help but sing along to! The star of the loop is the ingenious bassline that showcases the musical proficiency of Rick James. Those songs will be released on Thursdays. You will find them in the Diamond Shop instead of the regular in-game or platform-specific stores. “Crystal Beach” by The Lingala Sound offers a collection of spectacular summer sounds for your Crate! There’s a punchy kick drum within the drum disc, accompanied by soft shaker sounds and island-inspired tom hits that help keep the energy high. The lead vocal disc seems to float atop the rest of the musical arrangement.

The bass disc and lead instrument disc work well with each other. Their soft-but-consistent synth hits mirror each other and help to provide additional textures to the track. This collection of sounds is wonderful when heard as a complete piece, but the individual discs hold the power to assimilate to your next mix masterpiece!

“Loop Pack 11” by TK Sun brings the genius of this promoter directly into your Crate! The track is overflowing with unique sounds you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the FUSER festival. Loop Pack 07 by Faint Shadow delivers more ethereal sounds to the FUSER Festival! The simple synth sounds from the instrument and vocal discs perfectly pair with the spartan nature of the drum disc. Handclaps and delicate percussive hits from the drum disc allow for plenty of space in the arrangement for the other synth sounds to take shine!

On the bass disc, there is a gritty electrified bass synth which sets the stage for a slightly mellow synth riff on the lead instrument disc. The lightest touch comes from the lead vocal disc where yet another gentle synthesizer dances around.

“Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves hails from the band's 1983 debut album. It was originally intended to be performed as a ballad, but the lead singer Katrina Leskanich performed it as a more upbeat tune creating the track known and loved around the world today. This song was well received worldwide holding a top 10 spot on the Billboard US Top 40, as well as top ten placement on charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. This is one of the band’s most popular and successful songs, earning a Platinum certification in their native England.

This iconic song contains optimistic lyrics delivered atop an uplifting arrangement. The classic drum pattern maintains a double-time feel throughout the song, making the pace feel quick despite the track sitting at only 109 BPM. The bass and lead guitar move in near lockstep with very simple but instantly recognizable riffs. The lead instrument disc also delivers the trademark Katrina and the Waves horns that help lift the mood of the entire song. The lead instrument disc contains the famous lyrics to this song as well as natural handclaps recorded and included in the second half of the loop, making this disc a strong contender for your double vocal mixes!

“Royce Please” by Beast Business may only have three loops, but each of them packs an impressive punch! Each of the elements brings its own flair to the complete track, beautifully highlighting the power of a well-arranged song. The drum disc contains a multitude of sounds from rich punchy hits on the bass drum to crunchy and playful sounds on the hi-hat. These drums would add a brilliant twist to any country-inspired tracks. The creatively produced lead instrument disc maintains a delicate touch through the loop, allowing for a gritty bass disc to shine. While the lead instrument disc is spartan in nature, the empty space is appropriately filled by the bass. The top of the bass loop is a funky riff, followed by an electrified explosion of sound in the second half!

“This Is How You Left Me” by Marlon Kane is a soul-satisfying slow jam that will offer players smooth sounds to mix with! The spacious and dreamy guitar on the lead vocal disc is paired with a church organ sound that instantly lifts your mood.
