A new update for Wave Rider has been released. This update includes bugfixes, UI improvements and physics tweaks. Here's the list of changes:
Fullscreen mode & resolution (Huge thanks to cosstab for reporting this bug!)

Revised Alt+Enter behavior; It now switches between window modes without resetting your resolution.
Removed leftover code from the old resolution cycle button.
Fullscreen toggle in options menu now accurately reflects current window state.
Resolutions are now listed from higher to lower.
Switching scenes no longer resets your screen settings.
Basically, a lot of things that acted weirdly were fixed.
UI Additions

Added a steering angle indicator.

The polarity icons (-/+) point you towards your next wave recharge.
The polarity icons and waves bar glow when you perform a recharge.
Pause menu can now be accessed during "The Choice".
Fixed music and sound volume slider ranges being unbalanced.

Physics

Fixed anti-drift compensation being enabled during intentional drifts. (Yes, really.)
Fixed a bug where fully countersteering was impossible during drifts.
Edited drift sound to be a seamless loop.
Reduced camera offset when drifting.
Gear shift sounds are back.

A new update for Wave Rider has been released. This update includes changes for some achievements and the Saturna stage.
Saturna

Added a wall at the end to guide the player to the stage exit.
Fixed a stutter issue towards the end of the stage.
Removed instakill wall, replaced with a regular wall.
Traffic cars no longer despawn when they reach the end of their path.
Achievements

Added a new (provisional) beta branch with the legacy version of the game. You can use this to get the Hardcore mode achievements until Hardcore mode is restored in the post-rewrite version of the game.
Fixed the "Nice ride!" achievement.

The achievement has been restored.
Take the original four riders to the end once.
Pick whatever stage you like the most.

Completion percentages for sprint races.
Lap and sector times are shown on screen.
New camera and visual effects.
Bug fixes

Fixed a bug where the lighting in the final stage wouldn't show properly.
Fixed collision maps for the tutorial race.
Fixed a bug where brakes would not work if the throttle was applied.
Fixed a bug where the wrong car would spawn in the last scene.
Fixed a bug where the screen resolution would not be saved after leaving the options menu.
Restored introductory scene and stage unlocks.

A new patch for Wave Rider has been released. Here's some of the changes that were made:
New!

A new music mode: A e s t h e t i c. Find it under the Audio options menu!
Cutscenes can be skipped by holding certain buttons (Pause, Accept, Cancel, etc...)
On-screen text for countdowns and player-started races
Time control changes

The time control skill will hold itself active for a brief time to communicate its functionality better
Time control uses a less invasive screen effect
Wave Energy drain has been decreased (3 -> 2)
Major bug fixes

The tutorial race can now be completed normally!
The WR Mini minigame button is now in the main menu by default and will load the minigame as intended
Jumps and wall crawls in the Tutorial map have been removed
Other improvements

Reflections in the Tutorial map are fixed
Labels in the options menu now have outlines for better readability
The subtitles in the Tutorial have been placed at the bottom of the screen
Increased camera shake when landing a jump
The boost tunnel in the tutorial no longer requires the player to be boosting through it
Antialiasing toggle fixed
Reduced clutter from checkpoint messages

Some of the changes this update brings:

Several map changes and optimizations
Rebuilt drift mechanics
Checkpoint and lap counters next to the timer
Resolution and frame rate drop-down menus
A better post-race results screen with checkpoint times
New jumping behaviors
Sound mixing balance and some new sound effects
Races now start automatically with a countdown effect
Smooth transitions between scenes
Dynamic checkpoint timing
Fixed clipping issues around Hydroway
Other UI Improvements and fixes
And many, many under-the-hood system rewrites and fixes
