Hello, Medics!
We've been working hard for the past few weeks to address the most common issues and requests from the community. In addition to fixes and changes, we also have some brand-new content for you.
Localization and Lifeline Mission Brief
Localization
We’re finally able to share a preliminary localization for a few more languages with you. The translations cover dialogs, the UI, collectibles, and the Field Guide in every game mode.
🛑 Please keep in mind that the localization is very much a work in progress, and some languages still require a lot of improvement and may contain placeholder content. Their current versions do not represent the final quality we’re aiming for in the full version of the game.
At this point, our priority is to ensure that players from more regions can enjoy the game in some form, even if it’s not perfect.
As of this update, Medic: Pacific War is available in the following languages:
English
Polish (Made in-house, native to the dev team)
French
Russian
Chinese (Traditional)
Chinese (Simplified)
German
Spanish (LATAM)
Spanish (Spain)
Italian
Japanese
Portuguese (Brazil)
The list is not final, and more languages may be added in the future.
🫶 If you’d like to help us with your native language, join ourDiscord and sign up for the localization efforts! Or, if you run into any mistakes, report them as a "bug" on any of our platforms. Thank you!
Philippines Lifeline Map – The Last Stand
In recent updates, we’ve added some new content to Lifeline, but now it’s time for something bigger.
The new map, The Last Stand, is based on the Philippines chapter and takes place in the final moments before the fall of the Malinta Tunnel defenses. It’s a desperate fight for survival and to save as many wounded as possible.
In addition to introducing rogue-lite gameplay to the Philippines, we’ve also made significant changes to the map in its Lifeline variant. We’ve completely revamped its visuals and, while we were at it, tweaked the layout to suit the different gameplay better. The area around the Malinta Tunnel is ablaze. Welcome to hell.
Miscellaneous Changes
There’s more!
In the meantime, we’ve also been working on a few other things. The most important one was fixing a bug that sometimes caused interactions with wounds to get stuck, forcing players to load a checkpoint or restart a Lifeline game.
We’ve also started working on a visual overhaul of the Tora! Tora! Tora! Lifeline to make it more distinct from its campaign counterpart, and you can already see the first results in the game. And that’s just a fraction of the changes and fixes we’ve made in this patch.
What’s Next
In the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing what you’re probably most looking forward to: a new chapter in the campaign.
It will be the biggest one yet, and also quite different from the previous ones. In addition to rescuing the wounded, you’ll be sneaking past Japanese patrols and will be sent on a very special rescue mission. You’ll meet new characters, explore historic locations, and experience another intense battle.
You’ll also see how past events have shaped Mayers’ personality and the other soldiers’ attitudes toward the war. Keep an eye on our Steam page for a first look at the next chapter: Guadalcanal.

Hello, Medics!
Our team has reached many milestones this year: the release of Medic: Pacific War, major overhauls, updates, and now, to add to the list, our first showcase at Gamescom!
While our team couldn't be there in person this year, we worked with our partners, Infernozilla and our publisher, IZilla Games, to get Medic: Pacific War onto the show floor. In preparation, we created the demo build.
The build allowed players to play Lifeline mode. This is an intensifying mode where you are required to heal as many soldiers as you can on the battlefield. Players could also use the progression system and challenge points to unlock permanent perks.
This mode also has modifiers and level-up that enable the player to take certain advantages within the mission.
We've been hearing feedback from Gamescom and are excited to implement it in future updates. With some luck, we hope to make it to see it all in person. Regardless, we want to give a warm and huge THANK YOU to every person who came by the booth.
Without your support, we'd never have made it to the point of showcasing Medic: Pacific War at such a big event.
Thank you, Medics!

Hello Medics!
We are over the moon to announce that we have reached the first stop on our roadmap! The 0.2 Voice Over Update (Previously the Challenges Update) is here! Update now for new voice lines, challenges, collectables, visual changes, and fixes.
For the full list of changes, take a look below! ⬇️
🔊 0.2 Voice Over Update Intel
❤️🩹New and Updated Voice Acting
We’ve added or re-recorded about 100 lines of dialogue (including Mayers’). This applies to a large portion of the voice acting in the Pearl Harbor campaign chapter, as well as background dialogue on every map and in every mode. The battlefields now convey more pain, tragedy, and despair - without any contrived heroism.
This is just the first part of our efforts to get rid of placeholder audio content and overall improve the voice acting in Medic: Pacific War. In the coming weeks, we’ll release the second part of the rework, where we’ll focus on the Philippines chapter and conversations with the wounded.
The new dialogues were recorded by professional actors with experience in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector and Mechanicus, Warframe, Tempest Rising, and other games.
We did not use generative AI at any stage of this update’s development, and we will not do so in the future.
Check out our Voice Over Devlog for additional intel here:
We’ve introduced new conditions for triggering random dialogue lines on every map and in every mode. Now you’ll hear soldiers commenting on events on the battlefield much more often, depending on the context and location.
In the future, we will continue to develop this aspect of the game by introducing a wider variety of lines spoken by different soldiers, while maintaining high quality and historical accuracy. We are committed to faithfully conveying the emotions experienced during the tragedy of war.
🩸The Grime of Battle
We've implemented a system that causes Mayer's uniform and body to become covered in blood and dirt. Depending on the actions he takes. Mayers starts barely dirty, and by the end, he's covered in blood... not necessarily his own.
Blood and dirt gradually appear on Mayers as he treats the wounded, carries them on his back, and is injured.
💉Lifeline Challenges
We've added five brand-new challenges to Lifeline mode. Put your skills to the test as you rescue the wounded, and remember that completing a challenge rewards you with Perk Points. 🎉
In the future, we plan to continue developing Lifeline Mode by adding more challenges, perks, skills, maps, and a new currency system.
💊Collectibles
As you may have noticed earlier, Medic: Pacific War included an early version of the collectibles feature at the time of its Early Access release. We’ve expanded this feature with a dedicated menu where you can read about the items you’ve found and see how many you’re missing.
The collectibles menu is available in the main menu under the Extras tab, as well as in the pause menu. Subsequent chapters of the campaign will feature more collectibles to find.
Full Changelog

We heard the community and our team are over the moon to finally reveal: The first part of the dialogue rework is done and will be released in the 0.2 update! This rework covers Pearl Harbor and the vast majority of the random voice lines heard on every map and in every game mode.
We recorded over 100 new and reworked lines of dialogue with professional voice actors. AI was NOT used at ANY point during the entire process. These one-time dialogues now respond more to what's happening on the battlefield; they aren't completely random.
Get a preview of them and enjoy the 3+ minute preview of the reworked audio below.
In addition to updating the voice lines, we've introduced new locations and situations where you'll hear them. The battlefields are now much livelier and more immersive.
We focused on what’s best about Medic: intensifying the sense of being part of a brutal, overwhelming, and heart-wrenching tragedy. Our voice actors were given precise guidelines on which emotions to convey to pay respect to the history and victims of this conflict. The game now features many brutal, disturbing, and tragic voice lines.
Our wonderfully talented voice actors have also worked on the following titles, among others:
Warframe
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
Tempest Rising
X4: Foundations
The mission is not done just yet! Coming very soon is the second part of the voice line update. Part two will focus on the Philippines and will also introduce more varied random voice lines to the game.
We can't wait for you to hear what's in the latest update coming very soon!

🩹Known Issues and Temporary Fixes
What you may run into and how to work around it. Our team is currently working on permanent fixes.
Occasional game crashes and freezes, especially on less powerful devices
We highly recommend updating your drivers to the latest stable versions, lowering your graphics settings, and enabling upscaling if available. Optimization and stability are constantly being improved
A black screen appears after skipping a cutscene
The issue is resolved at the last checkpoint and should not occur again during the same cutscene
You cannot click on the wound in inspection mode
This issue is very rare and can be resolved by loading the last checkpoint
Levels and assets loading right before your eyes
Working on it
Compatibility issues with the controller and handheld devices
Controllers are coming soon, followed a little later by handhelds
UI flickering when using the XeSS frame generator
We're looking into it
Poor performance
Game optimization is constantly being improved. In the meantime, we recommend using upscaling and frame generation (in the Display tab) if they are available. They do not significantly affect image quality, but do significantly improve performance. Ultimately, however, the game will be optimized to run smoothly without frame generation or upscaling
We encourage you to report bugs via our Discord server or the Steam forum in Bug Reports or Feedback. The Community and Development teams are watching those channels closely, so if you have any questions or need help, reach out.

🧰 Operation Lifeline What's New:
🗺️ Map Updates
Okinawa and Pearl Harbor wait for you! Try out the now content-complete Okinawa map for Lifeline and experience the brand-new Pearl Harbor map in Lifeline.
⛑️ Skills, Perks, Challenges & Metaprogression
Each saved soldier will now give you experience, which can be spent on perks every level up. To prepare your game plan for the upcoming arena Challenges are now available to view in the main menu.
ᯓ🏃🏻♀️➡️Stamina System
Soldiers get tired after a while, and prolonged sprinting may lead to serious health loss or even a deep wound. Carrying a wounded brother will cause your stamina to regenerate much more slowly. Use it wisely!
🩸Deep Wounds
Now, if you take too much damage at once, you get a deep wound. Represented by a white bar on your health indicator. Deep wounds do not regenerate, so tread carefully!
Additional Changes
Updated Controls. Enjoy a refreshed, more intuitive control scheme.
Extensive Balance Updates. Tuning across health, leveling, pacing, injuries, AI behavior, and Lifeline difficulty curves
UI Improvements. Reorganized menus. clearer navigation and overall interface updates.
Please note that these features are not yet final and may be removed/changed/tweaked based on your feedback.
Sign up, get your key, and dive in today, Medics, and thank you for checking out our playtest. We can't wait to hear what you think.

Future Plans
With playtest #3 in the books, we're looking forward to our final two playtests before release. For a refresher, here's what the plans are currently. Please note that all these plans are subject to change.
Better Development Focus - separating playtests for the campaign and Lifeline Mode helps us refine Medic: Pacific War more effectively. Feedback from Feature Playtest #3 helps us improve the Campaign mode.
The Next Feature Playtests - the first playtest covered both the Campaign and Lifeline Mode (then Arena Mode), while the second focused solely on Lifeline and the third focused only on the Campaign. Going forward, our playtests will follow this pattern:
Playtest #
Tentative Schedule
Details
Feature Playtest #4
Feb 2026
Will again focus on Lifeline Mode. With feedback from earlier playtests, we aim to deliver a significantly improved experience, including expected - but not final - updates like added stages, gameplay variations, and more.
Final Feature Playtest
Mar 2026
Will mirror the first, featuring both the campaign and Lifeline Mode. By then, we aim to deliver the closest-to-final experience, with all feedback from this playtest feeding directly into the launch build.
All changes and feedback from each playtest will be added to the game’s Demo Version. This ensures everyone can try the latest updates, optimizations, and features as they’re introduced.
We're more excited than ever for the future of Medic: Pacific War and the continued impact you have made on it! Keep an eye out for more news on our future playtests, and thank you again for playing!
See you on the battlefield, Medics!
