Hi everyone!
The Steam Scream Fest is live right now, and given that I've made tons of Halloween-related games, it only made sense to participate!
3 of the games I've previously made are discounted, The Outbound Ghost, Soul Stalker, and Wanted Shadows. However, not only can you get them individually, but you can also get them all in a bundle for for just $16.22 instead of the usual $27. If you already own any of the games as well, no worries, because you can still get the discount for the other games you don't yet own! You can find the bundle below.
Also, we recently announced The Outbound Ghost: Reborn, a new game in the universe of The Outbound Ghost and Soul Stalker, and it will of course be included in next year's Steam Scream Fest as a released game! What's even better is that the game will be COMPLETELY FREE if you already own the first The Outbound Ghost game before the sequel's release! Wishlist it below to be notified of when it comes out!

Hi everyone!
We're hard at work with finalising the first The Outbound Ghost update post-lawsuit, and I'm happy to announce that it will be coming to Steam within the next 2 weeks!
The main reason I'm making this post however, is because the game that I've been working on and kept me afloat since The Outbound Ghost got into its lawsuit is out RIGHT NOW!
It's called SOUL STALKER, and not only is the game's universe is the same as that of The Outbound Ghost, it's also a direct prequel set in the distant past! If you played through that game's entire story, then some SOUL STALKER's NPC interactions might give some additional context about what exists beyond the town Outbound.
Gameplay-wise, it's a bullet heaven roguelike, so think gameplay similar to Vampire Survivors/Brotato with some Hades and Slay the Spire sprinkled in.
If this sounds like a fun game to you, you can get it in the link below! It's on a 20% launch discount right now!
Since the game's base price is just $4.99, you'll get tons of bang for your buck, and I hope you enjoy it! Anyways, that's it for this update, and I'll be making another post here next week to let you all know what to expect with the first update to The Outbound Ghost!
Hi everyone! This is Conrad, the lead developer of The Outbound Ghost . Over the past 2 years, this page has been silent because we were in a lawsuit with the game's former publisher ( click here to see the details ). Well, I'm happy to announce that The Outbound Ghost 's lawsuit
Hi everyone!
This is Conrad, the lead developer of The Outbound Ghost. Over the past 2 years, this page has been silent because we were in a lawsuit with the game's former publisher (click here to see the details).
Well, I'm happy to announce that The Outbound Ghost's lawsuit is now RESOLVED!
My company Conradical Games (the original developers) are self-publishing the game, and it's now available again on Steam and Nintendo Switch, with the others versions coming out again soon! I've made a video that goes over what you can expect now that The Outbound Ghost is self-published by us, but I'll also have a text version below.
(Also, keep on reading because we also just announced The Outbound Ghost's sequel and it's ENTIRELY FREE to owners of the original game!)
The Outbound Ghost is back! It's available right now on Steam and Nintendo Switch
The performance issues of the Nintendo Switch version have been fixed through a complete in-house re-port of the game by us, Conradical Games.
All previous owners of The Outbound Ghost's Switch version will get the patch for free through an update on the 18th of October. The Steam update will be released in the coming weeks - we wanted to prioritise Switch because of the porting issues.
The game will be re-launched on PlayStation at a later date, and will release on Xbox for the first time in 2025.
The roadmap will be seen through, and some of the updates are already in the Switch version. Will come to Steam in the coming weeks.
The Outbound Ghost Switch Update Changes
Improved framerate (stable 30fps).
Improved loading times (~20 seconds per combat -> ~2 seconds per combat).
German, Spanish, and French localisation.
A rework of how the in-combat statuses are displayed.
Completely remastered soundtrack.
The Outbound Ghost: Reborn, The Sequel!
As I mentioned above, not only are we updating The Outbound Ghost, but we're also announcing its sequel. The Outbound Ghost: Reborn!
It's entirely free if you own The Outbound Ghost on Steam, and it's a completely new adventure with a new story, updated combat, new areas, and new figments! Check out the Steam page below (and wishlist it to be notified when it comes out)!
Well, as we were implementing some of the roadmap additions, we felt that we wanted to take the game even further, but doing so would ruin save files, progression, and more. Because of this, we decided to make a sequel, and make it entirely FREE for Steam owners if you own The Outbound Ghost before The Outbound Ghost: Reborn releases in 2025. This way, it's kind of like an update because Steam owners don't need to pay anything extra, and we are also able to take the concept to the lengths we always wanted to.
You can find the reveal trailer below, and I can't wait to release the game next year!
Before the game entered the lawsuit, it sat around 75% - 80% ratings on Steam, and we felt that this would have easily increased over the additions of our roadmap features.
However, because of the lawsuit, many people review bombed the game in our support, which I really appreciate, but it is now hurting our standing in Steam's algorithm. If you didn't enjoy the game, that's totally fine! But, if you did enjoy the game and want to support us, then leaving a review would help us an immense amount. As well, if you're one of the players that review bombed the game in our support, I would really appreciate it if you changed your review to be reflective of your thoughts on the game, that would help us a lot!
Soul Stalker
When the lawsuit started, I formed a new company called Radhood that focused on self-publishing games, and one of our games is actually set in the same universe as The Outbound Ghost, and it's releasing on the 24th of October!
It's called Soul Stalker, and it's a bullet heaven roguelike with paper graphics. Think Vampire Survivors and Slay the Spire with Paper Mario-inspired visuals! If that sounds like your kind of thing, then getting the game in the link below would help us so much, and it's discounted for owners of The Outbound Ghost as well through a bundle, so it's a win-win!
Anyways, that's it for this update, and I'm SUPER excited to finally get back to being involved with The Outbound Ghost publicly. I'll be keeping you all up to date as to when the first update will release exactly, but until then, make sure to watch the video I shared above to get the full context and learn about when each of the roadmap features will be added.

This is Conrad, the lead developer of The Outbound Ghost. This page has been quite quiet, and if you've been following the game you'll know it's because it was the subject of a lawsuit.
Well... In about 22 hours from now, I'll be releasing the FINAL update about all of that. Check the video below to watch it!

In December, Conrad Grindheim of Conradical Games defaced the Steam page for his latest release, The Outbound Ghost, and asked people not to buy it on other platforms. The unusual move came as a result of a dispute between the studio and publisher Digerati. Conradical accused Digerati of mishandling the console ports of the game and putting the Steam version on sale without approval, and demanded that it relinquish the rights to the game; Digerati filed a lawsuit against Conradical, accusing it of attempting to violate its contract... Update: Digerati have provided a statement saying that "Conradical has been timely paid all royalties due to date," and that "Conrad has refused to work with us" to identify issues with ports of The Outbound Ghost. The full statement is included below.
Late last year, turn-based indie RPG The Outbound Ghost was delisted from Steam after a statement from lead dev Conrad Grindheim claimed his relationship with publisher Digerati had “dissolved.” Soon after, Digerati filed a lawsuit against developer Conradical over a breach of contract and “several false defamatory” statements. When reporting on the original news, CJ thought the messy situation could get messier, and he was right. Grindheim has now DMCA’d his own game on console storefronts and accused Digerati of withholding royalties.

Grindheim posted a video to YouTube and Twitter that alleged the publisher’s recent business practices towards the game haven’t been “ethically correct”. Digerati later shared their own video response on Twitter, with owner Sarah Alfieri saying Digerati have been “blindsided” by Grindheim’s statement.

Hi everyone!
A while ago I shared the roadmap and today I'm excited to reveal a shuffling of a few of the items + announce that the update to V1.1 is going to be coming out very soon! We're in the final stages of testing the localization of Spanish, German, and French, but once that's done we're ready to release!
Check out the updated roadmap below, and let me know what you think! All of the November items will release in the V1.1 update, the first major one for The Outbound Ghost 👀
As you can see, we've also remastered the music (thanks Kimmo and Greg!) and the soundtrack will be making its way to Steam, Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp, etc. when V1.1 releases as well!
Anyways, that's it for today! Excited to release the updates soon!

Hi everyone!
It's been a busy week with the Steam Scream Fest, but today's the last day! In case you missed it, the game has been on a 20% discount and has had a free demo up that allows you to transfer your progress to the full game!
If you've ever wanted to try before you buy, this is the perfect opportunity!
Previously I had said that the demo was going to be limited to this Steam Scream Fest, but it will now be up past the event! This will really make sure that all of you know what to expect out of the game before you buy it!
Anyways, that's it for today's update and make sure to be quick because although the demo is now up beyond the event, the discount period is going to end today!
The Outbound Ghost is participating in the Steam Scream Fest, which starts today and runs until 1st November. The demo will be live again for the duration of the event, while the full game will be available with a 20% discount. The demo lets you sample the game's opening section

The demo lets you sample the game's opening section and takes about two hours to play through. Your progress in the demo can be carried over to the main game, so if you enjoy the demo and decide to buy the full game, you can continue where you left off.

Hi everyone!
As many of you know, The Outbound Ghost released on the 20th of September and the release went amazingly (click here to get the game if you haven't already)! Now I'm ready to share the PC roadmap, check it out below.
I will save some of the details of these additions/reworks for a later date closer to their release, but I'm exicted to release the first major update to the game this month with a Status Rework, Party Chat, and new NPCs/Sidequests 👀
Also, if you've played the game and enjoyed it, I would seriously appreciate it if you left a review on Steam! It's the best thing you could do to support me after getting the game, so the more reviews the better :)
Anyways, that's it for this post, let me know what you think! I will of course continue working on bug fixes and we're making strides with localization, so keep an eye out for that!

A bit of a shorter this time around, but there's a good reason for that - we've started localizing the game! I can't confirm which languages are in the works right now, but there's a good bunch of them and I'm hoping to announce more soon!
Anyways, that's it for today's patch! If you appreciate the support that I'm giving the game (it's not going to end anytime soon), then leave a review cause it helps me out immensely :)

Added the accessibility option to remove the timing gauge on skills.
Fixed issue where some users experienced "crackling" in menu sound effects.

Re-balanced the two harder difficulty settings to still have the same level of challenge, but with less tediousness. This was done through making the enemies' HP/Stun HP remain the same as the base difficulty, with everything else scaling to be more difficult.
Balancing tweaks for the boss fight right before you get Trust.
Fixed typos in some skills.
Added dash tutorialization.
Added first strike tutorialization.
Added bushes tutorialization.
Today's patch is a bit shorter in length, but each individual point makes up for it because the changes and improvements are massive!
Would also like to say that there's not going to be a patch tomorrow unless it's super critical since it's my girlfriend and I's anniversary so I will be taking the day (mostly) off for the first time in a while!
As always, if you'd like to support the game I would really appreciate it if you left a review :) Anyways, until next time!

Hi everyone! It's day 2 and I still have even more fixes and QOL changes coming your way 😎. Check out what they are:

Fixed graphical issue where the Corvid Apparition in the Deep Toterwald had a white line coming out of its wing.

Thank you everyone for reporting the stuff you find, it's only because of you that I can fix it all!
