I’m thrilled to share a project that has been quietly growing alongside my current work. I am officially pulling back the curtain on my upcoming solo project: Ancestral Fury.
A New Chapter, A Shared Passion
For the past 18 months, I have been pouring my consistent, daily focus into a world that has been living in my head for even longer. If you’ve enjoyed my previous work, I think you’ll find a familiar spirit here. What is Ancestral Fury?
Ancestral Fury is a modern, immersive beat 'em up deeply inspired by the resilient spirit and untold stories of ancient Vietnam. I am taking the legends and historical atmosphere of my ancestors and bringing them to life in a digital arena where every strike feels like a piece of history.
As a solo developer, I’m tackling the massive challenge of recreating an ancient era—a process that requires me to piece together a vision from scarce historical materials. It is a journey of discovery, and I’m inviting you along for the ride.
What to Expect
Development is moving forward steadily on a few key pillars:
Funny, Exciting Movement: You won't just walk; you'll dash and run across the screen, turning every encounter into an exciting, strategic dance.
Combo-Driven Combat: Master deep, fluid combat where special skills are unleashed by executing the right combos.

This time, last year, Hogvalord has made its first appearance. Certainly simple and humble at first, but with the help of our little community, this title kept growing little by little. Thanks to that, we are able to be here to celebrate the second summer. And we just found out something surprising about summer. That, according to Wikipedia, there are at least eight songs with the title "Summer Love" dating back to 1957. So, summer is a season of love, too, huh? Well, we are not sure about that. But we will take it as a good excuse to bring up our most expected update: RELATIONSHIP! Yay!
PATCH HIGHLIGHT
You have been working hard day after day since Early Access. You feel like you are a workaholic even in a game... Hold on, that's not our intention. We support work-life balance! So, let's take a break from the ranch, roam around the village and try to befriend someone.

You can now interact with Patricia - the young lady next door. It's not a hide and seek game, but you can only find her at some certain places, in some certain time of the day, and in a certain kind of weather.
Giving gifts to grow the relationship. Note that there are gifts that make them go yay, and gifts that just "mmm-okay". Gifting the right items will help raise the heart bar faster.
When you reach a certain point of the heart bar, you will be able to trigger heart events that will strengthen the bond between you and your crush. Heart events are special scenes or back stories that the NPC normally doesn't share.
FIXED BUGS:

Can't harvest honeycomb from Bee House in the following days if the player does not go to other locations.
The flower has a weird shape caused by the shader error.

Adjustment to Lucas's movement direction makes the gamepad and keyboard controlling easier.

The new achievements are available for the players who like challenges. It's cool to have something to show off on your profile, and you will get them while enjoying this game.
The natural border in the forests shows the boundary clearer. You can find it easier to know where you can put your steps.
Filling water to the trough is quicker than before. You don't have to spend so much time and energy on this task anymore. Tip: the rain also helps you with this kind of job.
Adjustment to the characteristics and statistics makes the hogs live longer and cleverer. They can open the door and go inside the ranch when they're hungry and thirsty.
Fixed bugs:

The language flag issue. The lang showed nothing sometimes.
The bug in the tutorial. What's that? The issue stops players from continuing the tutorial when they run out of wood. If you're in this situation, you can ask Christy for more wood.
The players can't continue the main quest when they beat down the forest guardian before fulfilling his quest.

Improve Lucas's sword fighting ability. You can hit multiple targets with only one swing. Double the arrow damage. The player who likes the ranged weapon and hunting will feel more comfortable entering the forests. Adjust the mushroom effectiveness. Each time players consume a mu

Adjust the mushroom effectiveness. Each time players consume a mushroom, their sword damage increase in five seconds.
Show the saved games after the game-over screen. This screen saves players time and helps a player to retry the game quickly.
Improve the UI of dialogue.
Reduce the required manures the players have to offer the guardian when they want to collect wood in the Secret forest.
Reduce the required manures for planting.
Add the confirmation screen when the player wants to return to the title screen.
Add some hints to the Tips & Tricks window.
Fix the tricky bug that stops Lucas get his sword in the very early stage of the game.

You used to worry about the lacking of stone for your building. Those issues have now gone away. You can find stone in the Spring Forest whenever you want.
The game added a few tips for some items in the first time access to help understand their usage and where the player can find more tips and tricks.
The game now shows the notifications for auto-saving.
All the above improvements came from user feedback, and my mission is to listen and try my best to make the user experience better. Thank you for your support and encouragement.

Hogvalord kingdom has just finished learning a new language! Now you can choose between English and Vietnamese to enjoy Lucas' journey.
BUG FIXED

Sometimes you can fertilize the plants from afar, we have stopped this paranormal ability!
The dragon fruit costs 10 manures instead of 5 manures for fertilization.
UPCOMING UPDATE
There is no place like home. We know that the tent is more like a shelter than an actual home - where you could feel safe and enjoying at the same time. So, we are currently working on it. Stay tuned, guys!

PATCH HIGHLIGHT
Finally, the farming feature is here. Since the hogs start giving more and more babies whenever they like to, our merchant can barely keep up with the food supply. So he decided to sell you farming skill books instead. Now you can learn to grow veggies by yourself. It would be tiring, but we hope you enjoy the process!
Treasure finding: if you ever feeling poor, just go to the Spring Forest, you will find a not very secret fortune there.
IMPROVEMENT:

Rebalance the first part of the game to reduce problems that prevent players to progress.
Reduce the number of hit you need to perform when building some stuffs.
Tutorial adjustment: changing Christy's location so players doesn't have to run around too much.
Christy's tent now can restore energy faster.
BUG FIXED
Fixed notification misbehavior when player misses an attack.
