As 2021 comes to a close, that means it's time for the annual Steam Awards! We're delighted that our game has a chance to be nominated this year.
Initially, we considered going for Outstanding Visual Style or Best Soundtrack. After some debate, we finally decided to apply for the Sit Back and Relax category. We hope everyone can get relaxed when playing our game. :)
But if you think our game deserves to be nominated for other award categories, that’s totally fine with us! If you haven't decided, please nominate Growing Up for the Sit Back and Relax Award ;-)

You can get the new DLC content after update to the latest version! Enjoy.
The new DLC adds 2 new unusual jobs with unique skill trees:
Bowler
You can now head down to The Alley Way, find the perfect ball, and give bowling a try. Can you become a pro bowler or proud owner of multiple titles?
Magician
The secret of magic is another mysterious path to follow. Under the wings of equally mysterious and extravagant Daz, you will track down the secrets of magic and illusion to develop your own spectacular magic shows in dazzling theaters.
Besides these two careers, new endings, items, and skills await your discovery!
With the addition of this DLC, you can meet a total of 21 different pals for knowing, loving, and playing! The free DLC brings three new friends to your life:
Jake, a well-meaning but slightly troubled boy that can't help but get into all sorts of trouble.
Bobbie, a girl who lives for the spotlight! She’s always busy singing, acting, and performing.
Charles, meet “Hoffer”, a boy born into a political family who suffers from the conflicts between his family, identity, and sexual orientation.

Here's today's hotfix.
Bug fix:
- Added the possibility to choose the baby's gender when continuing the game with the next generation
- Added the possibility to choose the partner's gender when ending the game without a romantic relationship with story characters
- Adjusted the character selection system for more characters' variety when starting a New Game
- Added a new dialogue option in Sam's story
- Made more choices lead to romantic relationship with Alex
- Fixed an issue with switched up scenes in Wendy's story
- Slightly redesigned some of the Expectations
- Fixed an exploit with reloading the game during Brain Map to generate a new Brain Map while keeping the amount of Brain Points
- Fixed an issue with T1 and T2 Work Skills not being listed in the Schedule when learning T3 Work Skill first
- Fixed an issue with the Spinner (Brain Map node) spinning very slightly on lower FPS
- Fixed an issue with the Shockwave (Brain Map node) effect going through to the next Brain Map after using the Next Level node
- Fixed an issue with certain Skills being visible on locations' tooltips while the Skills are not yet available for the player to unlock
- Various text, localization, UI and general fixes

Today's hotfix includes the autosave issue, balancing and many other updates. Have a good weekend everyone!
Bug fix:
- Fixed the issue with progress rollbacks caused by external cloud services, e.g. OneDrive
- Adjusted the 'New Expectation' window to fit the 21:9 aspect ratio
- Fixed a handful of typos in ENG
- Fixed improperly displayed text in one of the tutorial pop-ups in DE
- Renamed the Skill 'Cutting' to 'Papercraft'
- Changed the names and descriptions for a couple of haircuts
Balance changes:
- Raised Mental Health and Parents' Satisfaction stats rebound after getting a Strike
- Lowered penalties for failed Expectations
- Lowered Mental Health penalties for Exam grades below B
- Lowered Grade Thresholds for Elementary, Middle School and High School Exams
- Lowered the Mental Health penalty for performing Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Work Skills
- Reduced prices of certain foods
- Raised Parents' Satisfaction rewards for performing Middle School Skills
- Some lesser tweaks & adjustments
