Howdy Gunslingers!
As many of you have guessed, we're long time fans of Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together.
Today we're happy to announce a crossover event where owners of Don't Starve Together automatically get a free update to Wizard with a Gun adding a collection of stylish outfits! When creating a new character or when using the Sewing Mechana, you can decorate your wizard with these iconic hats, comfy robes, and other accessories:
Beefalo Outfit
If you're looking for something to spice up your wardrobe this season: try a beefalo hide. You'll fit right in with the herd when you don this hearty set of threads.
Deerclops Outfit
Looking for a smashing outfit? Look no further than these dashing digs -- sure to put a pep in your step. Buyer beware: while this costume looks like it grants extra strength, the only bonus you'll acquire is increased charisma.
Spider Hat
The arachnid lovers can rejoice, for we have not forgotten you! This cap is crawling with charm and allure that will be sure to impress the harshest of critics (just make sure they're not afraid of spiders first)!
Working with Klei has been a long time dream of ours, so we'd love to give a warm thanks to them for letting us bring some of our favorite outfits to Wizard with a Gun!

Lore Galore
Libraries
Available to all wizards by default, the recipe for the general library can be found in the worldbuilder!
“But, Galvanic,” we hear you say “we already have bookshelves!”
Not like this one, you don’t!
These sturdy shelves hold all the secrets you’ve collected in your journey, and allow you to easily access your favorite pieces of lore.
Each shelf in this library reflects a specific archetype of magic. We’ve added bookshelf variant recipes that reflect that archetype's style, too – but they’re only available to the wizards that persevere. Collecting enough literature to fill a shelf will reward you with its associated bookshelf recipe.
New Lore
New reading materials can also be found in areas around the shatter and in boss arenas. Discover the secrets of the gods and the Imperium's final days. Find out why Hilda's riders have a bounty on them. Read some poetry. Super-sorcerer-slueths will have plenty to uncover in this update.
A Secret beyond the Oculus
Do you dare explore what waits for you? There is something lurking in the depths of the void, beyond the gate of the Oculus. Gather your friends and find out what waits for you – if you dare!
Thank you, Wizards!
We're always so grateful for y'all taking the time to play our game. Hello again gunslingers!
We're happy to announce that we finally did it:
We added more guns!
The "Bounty of Guns" update is live! This is a free update to all players and will automatically be downloaded the next time you play. This update includes new weapons, enemies, quests and more. There is even a few new costumes you can buy to support us making this game. Overall, this our biggest update to date, and there is so much to talk about -- so please keep your wands and arms inside the vehicle as we breakdown what's inside.
Bounty of Enemies The shatter has gotten more dangerous, and a little more crowded. If you track down a bounty you might be surprised at the difficulty of the encounter. Fret not! If you return the proof of bounty to a Bounty Mechana you’ll be rewarded with a treasure any gunsmith would be jealous of.
Bounty of Board These nasty new inhabitants might be causing a ruckus but there are those looking to clean it up. If you spot a board in your travels, take a peek. You might see a few marks posted for reward! Spending a little arcana will give you the right heading, and you just have to track them down and defeat them.
Bounty Mechana Now that you have defeated a bounty mark, how do you collect? The Bounty Mechana is your ticket to a pretty new piece of kit! Simply return the proof of the dangerous criminal you have slain (or defeated by other means) and out pops a brand new gunwand! Disclaimer: Bounty rewards vary in quality and type -- so keep collecting to increase your chances of new magic-sticks!
Mysterious Minibosses Are you an expert arcane alchemist looking for more of a challenge? Do you wander the shatter looking for the next big mark? For the wizards who have completed the game and are looking for an extra challenge, four unique additional bosses await your encounter. Find them hiding away in each biome, and collect their bounty!
Bounty Rewards
Bounty of Guns The titular star of the show: GUNS! If you thought that bounties would return just any Joshua number, you’re far off the mark. That’s right: over 50 new guns to gather and gawk at – Some are a bit rarer than others. Turn in your precious bounty rewards for a chance to gain any of the following beauties (and more)!
New Gun Types The keen eyed gunslingers in the crowd may have noticed our new guns contain a few surprises. There are several new firing styles included in the “Bounty of Guns” update. From mortar shots that fly in beautiful arc, to charged shots that deal a large blow of damage there is something for any type of wizard.
Gun Mount If you are precious about your collection, feel free to show it off in your tower with a sturdy mount. You can even feature classic guns on one of these beauties. Start an entire library dedicated to your collection if you’re brave enough.
Events Galore!
Surprise Events The word has spread of your bounty hunting and several inhabitants of the shatter are also after you. Keep an eye out for airships full of arcana hungry cultists, buried Mechlander hoards, hidden Vulf packs, sunken Phibb herds, or camouflaged crab flocks.
Stunning New Style
Furniture and Building Visuals For the wizard with a taste for decor --we've breathed new life into your favorite pieces. With bubbles, sparks, and flowing water we hope that these updates will fill you with the simple delights of home.
Twitch Extension With the bounty update comes an update to our twitch extension. Twitch chatters can now choose to inhabit a bounty enemy in the shatter, or even a bounty reward! Maybe your favorite chatter will become your new favorite weapon!
Hidden Bush Costume Shhhhhh.... did you hear that? No? Must have been the wind...
If you're looking to be extra quiet when hunting bounties, we've got the equipment for you! This dashing set can only be obtained via Twitch Drops - so hurry while they're still available!
Shadow Wizard Costume If you missed our last drops campaign; don't worry -- we're making the "Shadow Money" costume set available to everyone (yes, everyone)! Go forth and legalize destruction bullets (or whatever you kids are doing nowadays)!
Bounty Hunter DLC
Let's take this bounty hunting thing a bit more seriously, shall we? If you're looking to look professional -- why don't you pick up some DLC to show off your big-bounty-muscles? These three costume sets are available as DLC, and you can get 10% when purchased as part of the Deluxe Edition.
We're always so grateful for y'all taking the time to play our game. We have been so incredibly lucky to make this for you and we appreciate everyone who has given us feedback, participated in community discussions, chatted in our discord, and liked our social media content. Welcome to the final week of guns!
We're wrapping up the fourth (and final) week of our preview of "Bounty of Guns," where each week in February we post a gun-a-day from our upcoming update on social media.
This week, we've highlighted a wide variety of the rarest weapons that will be available, but we've only scratched the surface of what you'll discover in the "Bounty of Guns"!
Blightspreader
Since discovering the Infinite Well in the Tower, Orion has spent years trying to cleanse its poison. His idea for the Blightspreader came originally as a way to deliver antidote faster than the Well's rate of decay, but now his gun too has been corrupted. Orion has infused the minigun with the Well's poison and wields it as a weapon against those who would attack Hilda and her Riders.
Polaris
Polaris is Odden Hammerite's masterpiece. She found a way to make the charged spells from the gun linger for a moment when they reach the end of their lifetimes. Gunmancers can use those long-lasting bullets to delay effects or create a wall of pain their enemies have to run through.
Volcanic Fury
The Volcanic Fury is a devastating tool for any Sorcerer. Built from magically preserved slag from a volcano, the gun is hot to the touch. What comes out of the barrel is even hotter.
Longtooth Sniper
Made from the teeth of Koleyen Vulfs and the wood of the Kolbara tree, this sniper rifle has both bite and range. Each shot requires an aiming charge, but those that take the time to aim know it's worth it.
Wonk's Sprayer
The gunsmith Wonk Halfworth created an eccentric line of guns known as Wonk's Contraptions. Though powerful, these guns introduce strange and unpredictable behaviors to their spells. Most gunslingers avoid Wonk's guns because of their inconsistency, but a few gunmancers have found powders and techniques that make them truly shine.
And with that, we've wrapped on our gun-a-day schedule.
"But Glavanic?" we hear you ask, "Why aren't there more guns? I'm simply oh-so-hungry for more guns!" Fear not, gunslinger, for there are over 50 new guns in total coming to the Bounty of Guns update. You'll have to explore the shatter yourself and discover them all!
This update is COMING SOON (VERY SOON)! Please follow our twitter or join our discord to be kept up to date with all news!

We've wrapped on the third week of our preview month for "Bounty of Guns," where each week in February we post a gun-a-day from our upcoming update to social media.
This week, we highlighted the wide variety of elemental weapon styles that will be available, but it just scratched the surface of what's possible in "Bounty of Guns!" Whether you're an ice-cold alchemist spellcaster or a charming magus gunslinger; there is a gun for you!
Repenter
The Repenter is another classic piece of Fidrow Ironworks commonly used by the Cult of Iron. While it only holds six bullets in its cylinder, this revolver fires far more potent spells than the basic flintlocks of the Imperium.
Viper's Fangs
Scavenged metals from the Fell sell for high coin to the Cult of Lead. The Viper's Fangs is a gun custom-built from that toxin-infused lead. Differing greatly from the average shotgun, the Viper's Fangs fire two toothy spells at a longer-than-average range. This gun can be tricky to master but deadly once you do.
The Crystal Locus
While most alchemists value predictability in their outcomes, some hunters of the Frozen Wastes desire bonus bursts of pure power. The Crystal Locus gives that extra oomph by focusing arcana through a crystal lens. Sometimes that energy hits just right, and the results are devestating.
Fishskull
The fossils of dead fish from the barren sea don't hold any specific magical properties, but a few gunslingers have built powerful rifles from them. Stylish and intimidating, this rifle packs a punch.
HC Nimbus
The guncrafter Heather Corbuster makes a line of stylish and efficient guns for the alchemists of the Cult of Cobalt. You can tell one of her guns by their art deco styling and her initials in front of the gun's title. While not as powerful as some of her competitors, HC's guns have low recoil, making it easier to fire them on the run. The HC Nimbus is her streamlined pistol.

We've wrapped on the second week of our preview month for "Bounty of Guns," where each week in February we post a gun-a-day from our upcoming update to social media.
This week, we highlighted the wide variety of elemental weapon styles that will be available, but it just scratched the surface of what's possible in "Bounty of Guns!" Whether you're an ice-cold alchemist spellcaster or a charming magus gunslinger; there is a gun for you!
Vitriol
The Cult of Lead has developed numerous weapons to better spread poison and corruption. Vitriol is one of their most successful experimental weapons yet. Each shot adds an additional poison dose to its bullet, making it the ideal companion to lethal finisher spells!
Cold Hard Revenge
Serve your revenge ice cold with a rifle that enhances the potency of chilling and freezing spells! The alchemists of the Cult of Cobalt have created this wand with an inner barrel of crystal ice. The result is a smooth-firing rifle that can stop your enemies in their tracks.
The Lover's Quarrel
The followers of Flora and the magi of the plains don't belong to any of the gun cults, so the inventor of this charming wand remains a mystery. Regardless, they built the perfect wand for a battle magi: every shot that heals your allies heals you too. Whether it's a fellow gunmancer or a charmed inhabitant of the Shatter: this gun loves love and wants to spread it around.
The Shocker
The industrious Cult of Iron have invented a multishot wand that releases extra electrical bullets with every shot fired. The primary bullet is more powerful than the average shotgun's, and the extra arcing bullets add excellent bonus damage.
Malediction
Draco Scarpath is renown for his extraordinarily powerful gunmancy. The downside to his obsidian-infused wands is that every shot drains the life from their wielder's body. The more powerful the gun, the higher a toll it takes. Most wizards stay far away from his cursed weapons... except those who prize power above all else.

There are new guns on the horizon!
For the month of February we’re posting a gun-a-day (excluding weekends) on our social media and Discord to celebrate our upcoming “Bounty of Guns” update. At the end of each week, you can tune in here for a recap of all the guns we've revealed over the week.
Fidrow Ironworks is an industrial wandsmith on the central plains. Their wands are mass produced but well regarded for their reliability and consistent output. They don't fire the highest potency spells, but for a new gunmancer you'd be hard pressed to find a better weapon to start your adventures. Here's some of their noteworthy wands.
Fidrow Sawed Off
Fidrow Sawed Off shoots a cluster of bullets in a very close range for massive damage. It's the tool of choice for gunslingers who wish to conceal their wands in their robes until they get close enough to put a hole in something or someone that needs one.
The Fidrow Strikebreaker
Gunmancy has lead to rapid industrialization in the western plains where Fidrow Ironworks is based. The gunmancers of Fidrow invented the rapid firing Fidrow Strikebreaker to quell any organized unrest in their factories. Now it's become a popular weapon on the Shatter for fighting groups of enemies or laying down suppressing fire.
Fidrow Cultbuster
Favored for its steady output, larger magazine size, and stronger bullets, the Fidrow Cultbuster is a great way to keep your enemies hiding behind cover. The Cultbuster has been banned on the plains after the Cult of Iron Massacre six years ago, but the contraband wand has found its way on the Shatter in the hands of those same cultists.
Fidrow Cannon Wand
Packing a built-in explosiveness, the slow-firing single-shot cannon wand is used primarily for its precision and arc. For the patient gunmancer, you'll find no better tool for accurately annihilating anything in a chosen area.
Odden's Pointer.
Odden Hammerite is a mechanist craftswoman from the eastern plains whose guns are recognizeable from their brutalist designs. She's a supplier of the Gladwell family, who value the added power the guns generate by charging up shots. Together, her line of guns is known as Odden's Fist.

Cult of the Wizard with a Gun
Hello Once Again Wizarding Folk,
We have a fanciful treat for the wizards who have a cult on the side... we’ve released a free update to any player that owns Cult of the Lamb and Wizard with a Gun in their steam library. If this sounds like ewe, you’ll be able to reap the following benefits.
Scytheman’s Costume
A new costume set is available in the character customization at the start of the game, and will also be available to craft in the “sewing mechana” for mid-game wizards. These dashing duds are named after the Scytheman enemy from Cult of the Lamb.
The Red Crown
If you’re looking for a new way to blast spells, look no further than “The Red Crown,” a shotgun available as a craftable blueprint at “Young Joshua” in the Imperium biome.
A bountiful bundle and devious deal
We've partnered with Massive Monster so new players can try both games at a great bundle price! In the midst of Cult of the Lamb's notoriously large update, we're so happy that they've shared a small part of their world with ours. This bundle is the lowest ever price of Wizard with a Gun and we can't wait to welcome you to our wizarding cult!

Hello Wizarding Folk!
We hope you all enjoyed your first month on the Shatter. We've been hard at work improving the game, and we’d like to share some of those improvements with you today!
Buckle in because there are three main parts to this update: Festive glamours for your clothing, new communication tools for multiplayer, and significant improvements to item management and chests. At the bottom of this post you’ll find our usual list of patch items, but we’ll highlight the exciting bits first.
Feature 1 | Festive Clothes for All Sorts
Start your magical winter off right with several new costume glamours! Bring out your inner forest-dwelling Magus with a fresh set of robes, gloves, boots, and wooden mask or enjoy a good night's sleep with the new bedtime wizard hat. Also included in this update: a dainty silver lace mask and a flowery poinsettia hat.
Feature 2 | New Communication Tools
Wondering what your friend is up to? This patch includes several key updates to messaging and communication. Keep your eye out for on-screen notification in multiplayer games letting you know when your ally enters the tower, starts an expedition, or fails you and dies. Off-screen indicators will be shown for other players and charmed allies – making it easier to track them down in sticky situations.
However, the biggest addition to this patch is a wheel-of-magical-communication!
If you wish to communicate with your fellow wizards hold the comms wheel key (default G on keyboard) to select your chosen message. This unique expression will appear above your hat as well as on the world map. This mechanic can be used in any situation while exploring the shatter, including:
Telling your buddy they’re doing a great job
Expressing your sadness at the passing of a beloved pet
Letting a teammate know the location of resources, or other goodies
Feature 3 | Resource UI Improvements
Finally, to make your crafting, collecting and cataloging of resources easier, we’ve introduced a small number of UI improvements.
All wizards will be able to access chests, crafting stations and most other buildings simultaneously. No more bumping into your buddy when you’re attempting to reload your wand.
Use the “Store All” button on any chest to immediately move the entire contents of your backpack into safety. In addition, use the “Sort” button to neatly stack and re-order all items.
Need more room? This patch includes a new way to upgrade chests! Simply build your new chest directly over the old one. You’ll receive the difference in materials directly into your inventory.
Thank you, Wizards!
We want to extend our immense thanks to everyone who has played our game so far! An extra special thanks if you’ve been chatting on the community pages, talking in the Discord or submitting bug reports in the game – your participation is what makes updates like these possible! Please let us know what you think of these changes and what other features you’d like to see in future patches!
