Wall Force is officially going free to play. Our development has officially stopped because of the lack of funding and development resources. We are really sorry if you were looking forward to seeing how this game was supposed to evolve. The game will still contain all current features including local multiplayer and offline bots.
Wall Force will become available for free on the 12th of March.

On February 28th, at 7:00am PST (3:00 pm GMT) we are launching special a 75% discount that will last for 7 days.
Why?
After a very poor Early Access launch the sales did not reach our small expectations. With player count this low it is pointless to work on multiplayer so we will rather focus on the single-player aspect of the game, by adding more maps, weapons and mechanics. We also set ourselves some milestones that we want to reach.

Gun game
We are so thankful for our community and every idea or feedback that we receive helps a lot. This next game-mode was also recommended by our community member.
Gun Game is a free for all game-mode were every 2 kills level you up and your weapon switches with the next weapon. You can win by getting the first kill with the final weapon.
Vehicles
Note: Vehicles are at this point only a concept and are not guaranteed to make it into full release.
We started to experiment with vehicles because they are very rare in sidescroller shooting games because it is very hard to make them fun and balanced.
First APC test model:
Offline bots
The most requested feature was an offline mode with AI bots. Since the game is still very early in development there are not a lot of people playing multiplayer simultaneously, so the best solution to this is to add some AI bots that have IQ lower than 6 and god-like aim. At this point, you can play against bots on two different maps with two different game-modes (team deathmatch and gun game).
Maps
Cargo ship
Experience intense close-quarters firefights taking place on a moving cargo ship.
This map idea was submitted by one of our community members.
A cargo ship or freighter is a merchant ship that carries cargo, goods, and materials from one port to another. Thousands of cargo carriers ply the world's seas and oceans each year, handling the bulk of international trade.
Weapons
New weapons
Two new weapons were added in this update.
The first one is a crossbow, it shoots a slow-moving arrow that deals 100 damage, but has a lot of "bullet drop".
The second weapon is a water gun. Yes, you heard it right, a gun that shoots splashes of water. I won't spoil its characteristics, but it can be unlocked at level 50.
Weapon skins
We did some testing with Steam Inventory and we implemented a couple of weapon skins that are purchasable.
New sounds
Some weapon sounds were improved, they now sound more powerful and satisfying. Some impact effects were also added, surfaces like metal, wood, water, rock, and dirt now have individual sounds and visual effects.
Player name tags
Now you can distinguish between enemy and ally players by their names.

We want to add more content to Wall Force in order to increase replayability, so we started working on a zombie mode. This will put a wave-based zombie shooter into a 2D world. With each wave zombies progress in becoming stronger and faster. You can explore a large map that starts in a trailer park as a starter zone and progresses into a big city. You scavenge for new weapons and items that can help you survive.

Weapons
MP-28
Wall force has received another weapon and that is the mp-28. I made this model 6 months ago but never had time to add it to the game.
Mp-28 is a low tier automatic rifle, that fires at a low fire rate and has the firepower of a potato flying at 50 km/h. It can be unlocked at level 3 and can not be modified.
Molotov cocktail
A glass bottle filled with gasoline also called a molotov cocktail has also been added to wall force. You can throw it just like any other grenade but the bottle will break uppon collision and set the nearby objects on fire.
User interface
Main menu
The main menu has been reworked. It looks cleaner and it is more responsive. It also includes a quick match option that allows you to quickly hop into a game.
There was added a tooltip that pops up when you don’t have any customized weapons, so you don’t enter a match with weapons that don’t have magazines or other attachments.
Server hosting menu was also reworked, you can now select any map and the desired game mode with only one click.
Death screen
Kill cam has also seen some improvements. It now displays information about the killer such as his name, level, health and the weapon he was using. On your death, the camera dramatically zooms onto your body so you can see if your enemy has the urge to teabag you.
Team icons
Team icons have also received some attention, they now look cleaner and visually appealing.
Gameplay
A highly requested feature was health regeneration, so we implemented a system that heals you over time and extends your life span.
Whenever a player joins or leaves the match, there will be a notification displayed in the in-game chat.
We also added a new notification that displays how much score you have received by capturing an objective.
Footsteps have also been improved, this gives the player more immersion and it feels more natural. When you join a match you will be automatically assigned to a team so that teams are equally balanced. Rpg-7 now has a rocket attached in the barrel so that you can see when your enemy is reloading or has ran out of ammo. All weapons now drop an empty shell casing on the ground when fired. Tec-9's range has been increased. M4 Benelli has received an option to select between buckshot and slug ammo. Bullets and grenades can be destroyed mid-air by shooting them. If a grenade if destroyed in the air it will explode and damage enemies nearby.
Reinforcement mode
We tried adding in something brand new and we want to see how it works out, and that is the reinforcement mode. We want to receive as much feedback as possible so we can see if it feels good or if it is an unnecessary feature. At this point, you receive construction points every 5 seconds and the amount of them depends on the number of alive team members. You can use construction points to build walls and barriers that can provide you valuable cover.
Some life of quality improvements were added. Now when you are crouched, you can use your sprint or jump button to stand up, this makes moving around quicker and less frustrating. Grenades now have proper throw predict line, that displays the path of the grenade before you throw it.
A lot of bugs have been fixed but they are not interesting and worth mentioning.

We are excited to announce that you will be able to play with us and enjoy your first hours of Wall Force with us.
How can I stay up to date?
The best way for you to stay up to date with the latest news and information is by joining our Official Discord server.
When will this event start?
The event will start on Friday, 10th of January 2020 at 7pm CET.
What is the point of this?
This event will hopefully be a good opportunity to build a healthy community and meet new people. You will also be able to record footage of the game or stream it to your own community.
What follows after Early Access?
At this point, our biggest goal is to fix bugs, add new content such as weapons and maps, grow a bigger community and receive feedback that can improve the game. We want to make the game enjoyable and fun to play so we are open to all ideas and criticism that can improve the game.
We will also release a final development blog before the Early Access state.
Here is a little sneak peek of the upcoming development blog.

Maps
In this development update, we are showing off our new map taking place in an abandoned building complex. Buildings are full of debris, garbage, and broken object that have been affected by time and weather. With a lot of verticality there comes a lot of paths to choose from. Make your way through the building or via underground caves and tunnels. Our current maps now have more detail since we added particle effects (grass blowing, butterflies…), some new lighting and decals (wall cracks, stains…)
A new small map has been added that supports 1 vs. 1 matches. This is perfect for quickly hopping into a match with your friend and having some fun.
Weapons
Along with a lot of weapon balancing, we implemented three new guns. L85a2 fires heavy caliber and punches hard, it allows a range of attachments that can improve its characteristics.
Kriss vector fires 9mm ammo at a high fire rate, allowing you to take down your enemies very quickly.
On the other hand, desert eagle fires a large pistol caliber that packs a punch at the cost of a slow fire rate.
User interface
Some new icons have been added to HUD (new grenade icon and push to talk icon).
We also implemented a widget that is displayed at the end of each round and it provides you with information about your current match (displays kills, deaths, score, bullets fires…) and it also allows you to vote on which map you would like to play next.
Animations
Jumping and falling animations were changed to look more comic and fluid. You can also shoot mid-air since you will be in the air most of the time.
Visual effects
New sound and visual effects were added to the current weapons.
We added Discord rich presence that displays your game info on Discord if you enable it.
We brought back player hosted matches to make development in the alpha state a bit easier and cheaper. Dedicated servers will be making their way back into the game if we decide to put in a competitive game mode.

Weapons
New weapons with a couple of attachments have been added.
SKS will be the first rifle in the game that you can use. It will allow only semi-automatic fire, have small magazine capacity and will not support any attachments or modifications.
All weapons now have bullet spread and we can create weapons that fire multiple projectiles at one time.
Grenades now show a damage prediction radius.
If an enemy has empty magazine or is reloading, custom animation will play and you will perform a takedown.
Weapon selection and switching is now available in-game and will allow you to switch between your pre-customized weapon. (All visual elements are work in progress).

Weapon modding
This update brings something completely new to the table. On each level-up, you will unlock certain attachments and weapons which you can customize. This allows you to build “new” weapons from the ground up and at the same time modify weapon statistics.
Each attachment will have its pros and cons so that there won’t be any over-powered weapons.
Gamemodes
We also added a new gamemode called “rush” as for now there are only the basic mechanics [attackers must plant the bomb and defend it, meanwhile defenders mush disarm the bomb]. We will expand this in the future and add new mechanics that will make the gameplay even better.
Conquest gamemode has received some visual updates this week. This makes capturing an objective easier since you receive more visual feedback in colors and flag animation.
Other
As a quality of life improvement, there has been added “wall check” function that checks if the weapon is colliding with an object and then reacts, in this case, lowers the weapon and blocks shooting. This eliminates enemies shooting through walls.
