Hey everyone,
Let's cut to the chase: it's been a rocky start, and we understand expectations are high. Please keep in mind that we are a small six-man indie team, not a massive AAA studio. We intentionally launched very early into Early Access because we want gamers to directly shape the evolution of this world with us. Because we are in this raw, early phase, the initial build has structural flaws. Performance hitches and mechanical friction exist. We will never lose sight of the fact that we work for gamers. We hear your feedback clearly, and we want to assure you: Early Access is our beginning, not our final destination.
Our Core Pledge to You: We are not here to just patch bugs. We want to continuously inject massive value into Malorum over time so you feel rewarded for believing in the project early. Your $19.99 contribution directly funds independent development, and our pioneers will be met with new classes, expanded systems, and incoming content expansions. We are also adding an exclusive skin for early adopters.
The Immediate Roadmap: We are locked for immediate hotfixes, optimization, tactical combat adjustments, controller support, keyboard remapping, and additional language support.
Entering the Vault: To accomplish this effectively, our studio will put our heads down and work hard on execution. To the Heralds who stood by us through the abyss: thank you. Building true dark fantasy requires immense sacrifice, but our determination is absolute.
The gates of Deadhaus are open. The evolution has begun. 🩸

Deadhaus Sonata is now available in Early Access on Steam.
Play solo or with up to six players in a narrative-driven dark fantasy ARPG where the undead rise against the living.
Early Access begins with the Vampire class, featuring brutal melee combat, blood-fueled abilities, progression systems, loot, world exploration, and co-op gameplay built around player choice and long-term evolution.
Built under the creative direction of Denis Dyack, known for Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, Eternal Darkness, and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Deadhaus Sonata is designed to expand throughout Early Access with new classes, systems, enemies, environments, and ongoing content updates.
We understand Deadhaus Sonata will not be for everyone.
This is not a game built around chasing trends or short-term engagement. Deadhaus Sonata is being built as a long-term evolving world shaped through player agency, community feedback, and interconnected systems like the Tarot Card System and the Celestial Calendar, systems designed to make the world feel reactive, unpredictable, and alive over time.
This is the beginning of a long journey for Deadhaus Sonata and its community.
Harbingers of Deadhaus, After many, many years, it's time for the dead to rise TOMORROW. Thank you all for the support, the patience, the belief in this world, and for standing with us through this long road to Early Access. Tomorrow, you finally step into Deadhaus Sonata. Tomorr

Denis Dyack just pulled back the curtain on Deadhaus Sonata, taking you through where the game stands today and where it’s headed next.
This latest look dives into the current state of development, the direction we’re pushing toward, and some of the systems that are starting to come together. You’ll also catch new footage, including shape-shifting forms while playing as the vampire, something we’re continuing to expand as we build out the experience.
This is a work in progress. What you’re seeing reflects where we are right now, and where we’re going as we move toward Early Access.
We’d really appreciate you taking the time to watch the full breakdown and letting us know what stands out to you. Your feedback is critical.
Early Access is right around the corner, and there’s a lot more to come.

First, thank you to everyone who stepped into the demo, tested the systems, and gave us direct feedback. That input matters. We read it. We acted on it.
Because of you, we are now approaching 25,000 wishlists.
Since the first round of feedback, we have already implemented major improvements:
🩸 Performance optimizations, especially in winter environments 🩸 Texture streaming and LOD improvements 🩸 Night visibility and exposure adjustments 🩸 Auto-equip improvements with opt-in controls 🩸 Additional performance options in settings
The next build reflects that work. It plays stronger. It feels tighter. There is more waiting beneath the surface.
When the demo returns, we want you back in. We will keep you posted once we have more details to share.

Harbingers,
The Steam Next Fest REPLAYABLE Demo is NOW LIVE.
If you have not seen the trailer yet, watch it here.
This demo is a small vertical slice of Deadhaus Sonata. It is not the newest internal build and does not represent the full scope of Early Access.
It exists to showcase core combat, the undead power fantasy, and replayability through the Celestial Clock.
You may encounter bugs, lighting inconsistencies, and systems that are still being refined. We chose to show it anyway because the foundation matters.
Why It’s Replayable
Replayability is driven by the Celestial Clock, which influences deterministic loot and world conditions across runs.
Each playthrough shifts the world state and opens new progression opportunities. You collect Tarot cards and inscriptions that permanently strengthen your build and sharpen your combat identity.
Replay is not about rerolling. It is about refinement and long-term power growth.
What This Demo Represents
This demo represents the early game loop and foundational combat systems.
You will experiment with Tarot cards and inscriptions, engage with deterministic progression, and experience how the Celestial Clock shapes world state across runs.
What It Does Not Represent
This is not the full game.
It does not include the complete narrative arc, the full world map, co-op, late-game systems, or endgame bosses. Those systems arrive with Early Access and continue to expand beyond launch.
Playtime Expectations
A first playthrough averages 30 to 45 minutes.
Replay sessions can extend total playtime beyond two hours for players exploring build depth, optimizing Tarot combinations, and pushing combat pacing further with each run.
Playable Content Inside the Demo
You will play as the Vampire class.
You will explore the Blood Sanctum tutorial and Charnel Vale.
You will encounter two enemy factions and elite enemies within a contained but intentional battlefield.
This demo shows the foundation. Early Access expands the world.
FEED. EVOLVE. DOMINATE.

Harbingers of Deadhaus,
The tarot system is one of the core pillars of Deadhaus Sonata. It defines how power is earned, shaped, and unleashed across Malorum.
Every card represents arcane force pulled from forgotten history. Cards are earned through combat, quests, and exploration. Each unlocks new abilities that can be combined, upgraded, and refined into devastating builds.
The system supports multiple playstyles:
🩸Precision-focused damage builds
🩸Raw power and burst setups
🩸Mobility-driven combat flow
🩸Tanking and supernatural control paths
This new video showcases how the tarot system works in motion and how builds evolve through card synergy and progression.
