Developer posts and news about this game.
*I had planned to update Monthly Nexus after the 9-1 expansion, but since August is almost over, I’ve decided to post it now *“Monthly Nexus” is a series I started after coming across a tweet one day while doing an ego search that said, “I want a survival report from the develope
◆The effects of Legacies and Spells that were previously unimplemented have been added. Many of the Legacies and Spells from Chapter 9 onward are extremely powerful, which will further amp up the “idiot game” vibe. Stay tuned. (That said, Chapters 9-2 through 9-5 might not have a
◆Due to the effect of the newly implemented “Legacy” (Eternal Bottle), which has increased the achievable score on this stage, and separately because it is possible to achieve scores that are extremely high compared to other stages when playing in “True Pure” mode (without bringi
◆We have implemented the Legacy effect for Tactical Tower W, which had not been implemented previously. While its cost is very high, it has an extremely powerful effect. (This effect was adjusted two weeks before implementation, and since the icon is from that version, the icon d
◆We have fixed an issue where players could not obtain Legacy when defeating unique enemies in Chapter 8-1 (Phantom Tactical Town). (It appears this issue was present as of the update one week ago.) →If you experienced this issue, please load your save file, use the Undo command,
◆I enabled LargeAddressAware in TacticalNexus to increase the amount of available memory. For now, we’ll monitor the situation with this change. (After releasing a test version, we received reports from players that this fixed the bug.) ◆I implemented this setting on short notice
Starting with recent versions, there appears to be a phenomenon occurring in some environments where enemy image data occasionally fails to display—and, strangely enough, this issue is sometimes resolved by restarting the game. Normally, this kind of issue is caused by insufficie
◆In accordance with the above, the data for Chapter 9-1 has been updated. ◆For now, I’d like to think that the only adjustment we’ll make going forward is whether or not to change the score balance, but since it’s only been five days since Chapter 9-1 was implemented, I can’t say
◆In an update a few hours ago, we added a feature—as shown in the video above—where “activating the same type of gate twice or more would pave over the gate at its previous location.” We have now removed this feature so that activating a gate no longer overwrites the original gat
◆Stage adjustments haven't been made yet (I'll do them tomorrow). However, the version scheduled for the update is already in the TacticalNexus folder. (If you want to play the updated version right away, delete “wdat92(.dat)” in TacticalNexus\\tmp1\\wwdata, then rename “wdat92_n
*The developers’ reasoning is that “since we’re building a completely new system from scratch, it’s only natural that the quality isn’t perfect yet,” but it’s equally natural for players to be dissatisfied with “levels that are constantly being reworked with every new feature imp
*In this update, changes to enemy stats and skill effects are applied retroactively to past save data. While I don’t think these changes are significant enough to make the game immediately unbeatable, I get the impression that the new version is generally easier to play. (We’ve r
(Since the previous announcement log was lost, I’m reposting this as an article with an image) ◆After the data adjustments, enemy parameters and other stats will change significantly, so your Chapter 9-1 save data may become unbalanced, potentially making the game unplayable. ◆If
Fixed an issue where the stat boosts from “Dream Sea Drops” were not taking effect.
Since we’ve received a steady stream of reports of scores ranging from +1,200 to over +2,500 within 7 hours of implementation, we plan to make significant changes to the overscore system. We’ll be adding a splash of lemon juice to these fried chicken pieces. Meanwhile, after hear
◆ Fixed an issue where the Last Inflator dropped by the Crimson Clown was incorrect. This fix is applied retroactively to past save data. (You should be able to receive the update by restarting Steam.) ◆ Overall, the game balance seems to be working well, but we got the impressio
◆We’ve changed the “Thief Bandana (Yellow)” on the map to SP. (This change does not apply retroactively.) →We had previously removed the blue Thief Bandana from this stage because having it there caused rewards to increase about 10-fold, which caused scores to skyrocket and led t
*The Mystic Gate and Last Inflator devices are functional, but the effects for new Legacy items and spells have not yet been implemented (though you can still obtain them). We plan to implement these effects within a few days. Also, I’ll write a proper article as soon as we imple
*This post should technically be in the “News” category, but since the necessary steps—like preparing images—are a hassle, I’m posting it in the “Mini-Update” category to avoid all that tedious work. ◆ We’re planning to release the Chapter 9-1 update next week. Please don’t expec
◆Fixed an issue where behavior was abnormal when moving through portals or stairs. ◆In the silent update, we implemented a feature that allows continuous movement by holding down both mouse buttons and dragging, but we completely forgot to make this a toggleable option in the set
