We are gradually shaping the overall direction and tone of Frenzy Retribution II. We believe a darker techno style fits the atmosphere of the game very well. If you’re interested, you can switch the game to the techno branch as shown in the image to listen to the music, and we would appreciate your feedback.
Additionally, the source code for the latest version of this game has unfortunately been lost. However, please do not worry that the loss of the original version will affect the development of the sequel. The old code is not useful for developing a completely new version. The techno branch is based on an older build, so the gameplay feel is quite different. Please treat it only as a way to experience the music style. We do not plan to update the techno branch into the default version.
Because of this, we have also decided to cancel the previously announced plan to change the game from free to 1 USD. If you would like to support our development, you can consider purchasing games under HowlingRain, which has been providing us with significant support. You can also try their games to get an idea of how Frenzy Retribution may improve. If you’re into early 2000s electronic vibes, you might enjoy their music too.
