Heavy Metal DLC - What’s Inside?
Heavy Metal DLC introduces four iconic machine guns to the game:

MG3 The German legend of extreme firepower. An incredible rate of fire, an unmistakable design, and one of the most recognizable silhouettes in machine gun history.
M249 A light machine gun used by NATO forces. Mobile, modular, and built for sustained suppressive fire.
M60 The classic American heavy machine gun known from conflicts throughout the 20th century. Powerful, rugged, and absolutely iconic.
PKP Pecheneg A modern Russian design engineered for prolonged continuous fire. Durability and brutal effectiveness combined.
Why Is Heavy Metal DLC Worth Getting?
These are not just new weapons. Alongside the DLC, we’ve introduced new mechanics and features that expand the Gunsmith Simulator gameplay experience:

barrel overheating mechanics - machine guns can now heat up red-hot during intense firing,
barrel swapping at the shooting range - dynamic machine gun handling during live fire,
new machine guns operation animations - many new interactions and post-repair animations on the test table,

Even though Gunsmith Simulator has been out for quite some time now, we’re not slowing down. The workshop is still busy, tools are still hot, and we’re continuing to expand the game throughout 2026.
Today we want to share a preview of our development roadmap for the coming year.
On the roadmap graphic you will see five cards representing the updates and content planned for 2026. For now, we’re revealing just one of them - the rest remain face down… for the moment.
Here’s what the roadmap currently looks like:

MG3, M60, PKP Pecheneg, and M249 each feature unique characteristics and intricate mechanics, so it was important to us to recreate them with maximum attention to detail.

HEAVY METAL DLC CONTENTS:

MG3 - A German machine gun with an extremely high rate of fire, derived from the MG42 design. Belt feeding and a roller-locking mechanism make it precise — but demanding.
M60 - An American general-purpose machine gun used for decades across various conflicts. Its distinctive design and gas-operated system make it one of the most recognizable support weapons.
PKP Pecheneg - A Russian 7.62×54mmR machine gun designed for prolonged sustained fire. A reinforced barrel and a design built for harsh conditions increase its reliability.
M249 - A light machine gun used by, among others, NATO forces, belt-fed with 5.56 mm ammunition. It combines mobility with strong firepower, providing versatile support for infantry.
The release date for Heavy Metal DLC will be announced soon.

Before the DLC launches, we’ll also release a major free update that adds two new guns to the game. We’ll reveal the details in a separate announcement.
