Hello dragon tamers,
we’re back! As we mentioned in the last Kickstarter update we currently focus mainly on porting Weaving Tides to Nintendo Switch - however we also squeeze in some neat new features here and there which we want to show you today, so here we go!
Development Progress
Myth Statues
During your journey in the woven world you will come across the Myth Statues. The ancestors of the Mothkin erected these statues in the likeness of the goddess Dea to pay homage to their beloved deity and record the history of their homeland. They tell of myth, mysteries and times long past. But not only that, some will also put you to the test with tricky puzzles.
Pull on the hoop to activate the puzzle. Once you find the right sequence you will be rewarded.
Lost little Yapper
Don't be fooled by the sharp biters. This yapper is perfectly tame.
Oh look how cute! It seems like this little Yapper has lost its way. Will you be able to bring it back to its owner safely? We’ll find out once you play this little side quest in Weaving Tides : )
Library
If you remember during the Kickstarter we had a reward called „your message in the game“. So many of you wrote amazing little poems and uplifting messages. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in! It was such a delight for us to go through all of your messages.
You might be wondering where they will come into use. In the heart of the Mothkin empire lies the library of untold tales. A private collection to the emperor which houses a vast amount of old tomes and relics. Built to investigate the history of the ‚old ones’.
Here you can see a little glimspe of an early layout of the library. In the gif above we used a lot of placeholder assets, the final one will of course look a lot more pretty. There will be a lot of cozy little nooks which will allow you to browse through the various texts.
It’s getting increasingly difficult to find things to show you which do not lead into heavy spoiler territory - but this also means that we are getting close to completion!
