Fixed an issue in the Fanatic fight in which killing the Fanatic first made its allies invincible on one health bar when it shouldn't.
Fixed a random issue in which statuses and effects could be repeated too many times.

Achievements

Fixed the Achievement “Immortal Power”, it should now correctly ignore skills casted by enemies
User Interface

Fixed Skill Replacement soul bonus not being displayed in any language other than English
Minor fixes on AP Display using specific Relics
Improved the way the Relics user interface updates when gaining souls in certain part of the game
In combat, the text “Vulnerable” should now be correctly displayed instead of 0/X on characters life gauges after exiting the Devil Mode
Devil Mode

When reloading a Book (run), rerolling a secondary activity or creating a Portal should now correctly close the Devil UI when applying the modifications
Fixed a bug where using the Devil to modify a test success chances in an event could block progression
Leaving an Event with the Devil Mode active should no longer cause the Devil Mode effect to be enabled on the next Event, Sacrificial Altar or Trader activity
Combat

Fixed The Creature’s Berzerker attribute not being taken in Overpower damage calculation
Hecate’s rituals will not trigger status that triggers on skill cast when being triggered at the beginning of a turn
Fixed some bosses Skills that were sometimes not displaying the correct amount of damage
World Map

When reloading a new Book (run) just after having defeated a boss, zone paths should not open before completing the first activity anymore

Greetings Disciples,
We're pleased to let you know that a new update for Rogue Lords (v.1.1.00) is now available to download on your Steam client! This update is adding the Apprentice Mode, offering a new, more accessible experience to all of you especially if you had trouble overcoming certain battles. Not only are the enemies less powerful but you will start with a nice gift from the Devil in the form of more Diabolic Essence but also Terror.
Through this update we've also implemented a few bug fixes most notably on Achievements and Relics.
As always, feel free to share your feedback on the Steam forums or on Discord about the changes made in that update, our team is looking with great care at it to improve the game!

Patch Notes
Difficulty Modes

Added a new difficulty mode: Apprentice
The current difficulty mode is now called Normal mode
In Apprentice mode, the player start with +50 Diabolic Essence, +1 Terror, and enemies deal less damage
Books can be unlocked in Apprentice mode
Achievements can be unlocked in Apprentice mode
Experience gains in Apprentice mode are the same as Normal mode
Developers' note: Apprentice mode offers a more accessible experience for those struggling with Normal mode or simply wanting a place to experiment with builds and characters more easily. While the Normal difficulty mode remains the game's intended experience, we hope this addition gives everyone a place to enjoy Rogue Lords at their own pace.

Fixed the Baron Samedi “What's yours is mine” achievement behaviour with the relic “Old-world amulet”
Relics

Fixed Anticipation Brooch relic sometimes not triggering on some preparation skills

The game should now be able to restore a previous save in case of save data corruption due to a crash

Thanks to the feedback you have shared us since the launch of the game, we have been have been working hard on improvement the overall experience! Today's update is addressing a lot of balancing issues related to Enemies (for instance through a complete rework of the Fanatic), Disciples but also of certain Relics.
Our team will continue to monitor your feedback to improve the overall experience through additional updates, we will share more details in the future about them!
Addendum 29/10/2021: Added the following fix to the Fanatic: The Fanatic will now appear only with the 2 same allies (instead of a random between 3 allies compositions)

Enemies Balancing

Reduced enemies HP and SP increase between Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 from +37.5% to +12.5% in all Books.
REWORKED: The Fanatic
Developers' note: These changes aim to keep the spirit of this combat, while making him defeatable by a single-elemental team, but maintaining a big advantage in having both elements or cheating in Devil Mode.

Fanaticism is now a global effect.
The Fanatic has 5 charges of Immortality.

Hello Disciples,
As mentioned last week, in our Message from the Rogue Lords team, we wanted to share with you a few tips from our Development Team on how to overcome some of the challenges of Rogue Lords.
Note: This guide is available in English, French, German, Russian & Simplified Chinese in case you are not comfortable with this language.
TIP 1 - The Devil is the game's main character. Make sure to use his powers!
All these actions might seem costly, but they are usually worth spending Diabolic Essence on. Use the Devil's powers to:

Heal a vulnerable Disciple who is about to be on the receiving end of a single, powerful attack (spending 5 diabolic essence to avoid losing 30 is worth it).
Relocate the buff of an enemy that is causing you trouble (the buffs that enemies apply are designed to be stolen by the player!) or get rid of a debuff placed on one of your Disciples.
Create a portal on the world map to reach a useful activity, such as connecting two Grim Reapers to upgrade and quickly retrieve a skill, or to avoid a risky fight with an Elite enemy!
Try to guarantee success during story events to earn maximum attributes.
Lower the health/spiritual points of an enemy or Elite to finish them off when their bar has already been lowered.
Reroll a night's secondary activity.
TIP 2 - Sowing Terror is crucial!
Focus on increasing your Terror gauge from the start of the game:

It helps you obtain relics.
It increases the rarity of skills offered as rewards from the Grim Reaper, fights and events.
It makes major advantages appear on the map. You can exploit these advantages to earn essential bonuses.
Remember that story events can also be a source of Terror!
TIP 3 - Obtain increasingly rare skills to massively increase your strength!
Skill upgrades between the various rarity levels are significant. To reach higher rarity levels:

Work towards getting ""three-of-a-kind"": when you have two of the same skills and obtain a third, you fuse them to create a new skill with the next level of rarity. In addition, when you increase the rarity of a skill, you obtain a second with the same rarity!
Regularly leave a skill with the Grim Reaper: you can even cheat on the world map to quickly return and regain the upgraded skill.
Increase your Terror rapidly.
TIP 4 - Think about protecting your Disciples!
There are many ways to reduce damage from enemies. Remember that:

You already start with attack/damage-based skills.
Obtaining and upgrading defensive skills is essential. If you don't have any defensive skills, enemies will seem impossible to beat.
TIP 5 - Relics are very powerful: have as many as possible!
Never overlook relics during your runs. You can obtain them in multiple ways:

By moving up a notch in Terror
By winning a fight against an Elite
In certain events
From the Grim Reaper
TIP 6 - Don't forget Sacrifices!
You can unlock a skill slot for one of your Disciples by sacrificing a skill at the Sacrificial Altar. Sacrifices are important because:

Unlocking additional skill slots is crucial if you want to defeat the stronger enemies.
More skills means more variety in team composition and fewer recharges needed during combat.
To use them to your advantage, try to plan ahead and decide which skill you don't want and can afford to sacrifice. This skill will stop being offered to you during your run.

A new update for Rogue Lords is now available to download through your Steam client. This update (v.1.0.03) addresses some of the issues the community reported to us such as a fix on achievements “The Devil is invulnerable”, blocking issues on multiple events and more. Finally, we know that many of you have addressed concerns about the game balancing. Please know that we have analysed the data and feedback and are currently investigating potential fixes and solutions. This will become our focus in upcoming updates.

Fixed the achievement “The Devil is invulnerable” not resetting properly on run start
Battles

Fixed +2AP Elite terror effects that was creating duplicate action points
Fixed a bug that would make the battle UI unresponsive during the Brother Gabriel boss fight
Fixed a rare bug that could softlock the game when an enemy dies while playing with a very low framerate
Fixed an infinite loop when Hecate uses Mystical Cerement skill on an ally while having Mirror Effect on herself
Relics

Fixed an issue that could cause Bonus from certain relics to persist from run to run.

Dear Disciples,
Our first fix update for Rogue Lords is now available to download through your Steam client. This update (v.1.0.02) addresses some of the issues the community reported to us such as a fix on the SFX writing sound, infinite loading screen and much more. You can read the Patch Notes below to learn more about its content.
Please note that we read every message posted on our forums and feedback sections of our Discord and heard your concerns about various parts of the game. We will let you know what solutions we will apply as soon as they are ready! More bugfix patches for the remaining issues are also on their way.
Patch Notes
Relics

"Brasero of Hell" no longer creates unusable action points
"Cursed Watch" now gives 2 AP every 2 turns as described
"Soul Drinker" will no longer heal devil essence when losing souls from any source
Saves

Fixed the infinite loading after closing the game on the defeat screen
Fixed saves becoming corrupted and the main menu loading infinitely when force closing the game
Audio

Fixed last lines not being properly voiced in the epilogue and conclusion books of The Spinning Wheels of the Fates
Fixed last lines not being properly voiced in the epilogue book of The Collar of Cerberus
Fixed last lines not being properly voiced in the epilogue book of The Eye of The Wyvern
Fixed the writing SFX looping throughout the whole game
Spellbook

You are now able to open the Spellbook when interacting with a Styx Fountain
You are now able to open the Spellbook when rewarded with Skills during an event
Events
Fixed an issue where some events choices were not giving out any rewards
Fixed a blocking issue in Russian in the event “White Morning”
Fixed a blocking issue in Polish in the event “Scarecrow”
Fixed movement not being blocked while receiving a Quest
Fixed a bug where the game could crash in an event when the threat effect that locks a choice was active
Tutorial

Fixed a blocking situation in the tutorial when the Devil Mode is active when the Devil Portal Tutorial triggers
Fixed a situation in which the Skill Enhancement Tutorial could be skipped
Fixed a combination of keyboard and mouse allowing to bypass some Tutorial instructions, creating a blocker
Fixed a bug that granted a Book victory instead of a defeat when losing a run just after completing the tutorial
Options

Fixed keybinding not being registered properly
Fixed options not saving properly when using the Reset button
Fixed a bug preventing options in tabs other than “Playability” from being edited
Localization

Adjusted fallback font size for missing characters (example: polish diacritics)
Fixed various typos in French and English
Battles

Fixed a bug where the game would prevent you from continuing to the victory screen when defeating a boss (ex: you can properly defeat Gabriel with the White lady)
Fixed a case where locked action points would make some skill unusable. (ex: Double Mass Awakening no longer crashes the game)
Fixed a bug where Lilith’s alternate passive would lose all its stacks when ending a turn. The charges are now feedbacked on the relic which gives the passive.
Performance

Fixed lags on the World Map when using refresh rates above 60Hz
