Patch Notes:

Gameplay & Quality of Life Improvements:
- Added character dialogue audio to the final game sequences.
- Fixed the ambient sound of the festival environment ignored the volume slider settings.
- Added "wrong burning" feedback icon when placing items onto incorrect cooking appliances.
- Adjusted the Dough yield mechanics so players can now slice up to 16 Baklava layers.
- Adjusted Recipe Menu UI ordering so Strawberry Cake is listed first instead of Banana Cake, improving clarity upon unlock.
- Enabled the ability to throw the Frying Basket into the trash.
- Enlarged light switch interaction colliders to make aiming much easier when playing with a gamepad.
- Integrated the full tutorial flow into Easy Mode.
Multiplayer & Sync Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where a client player would freeze, lock up Windows/Steam, or become unable to move when the host stepped out of the apartment.
- Fixed an issue where the host moving stock items caused desynchronization.
- Fixed a multiplayer bug where firework explosions would glitch and disappear on client screens.
- Fixed a bug where placing a plate onto a highlighted table before a customer sat down would break their AI logic.
- Fixed an issue where customers on Hard Mode did not display their patience meters properly for client players.
- Reworked item actions to prevent multiplayer synchronization errors.
- Fixed various general multiplayer data sync errors.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where transferring to the big restaurant wiped items stored inside refrigerators.
- Fixed a bug within the Cake Decoration where the item would sometimes duplicate itself instead of giving the proper decoration.
- Fixed a material error causing the Zurek Soup to render with an incorrect yellow color.
- Fixed an oversight where the final skewer crafted from a mixing bowl only contained minced meat, ignoring onions and other ingredients.
- Added a highlight feedback effect to Mystery Boxes during the Tony Gourmet and Daigo Gourmet encounters.
- Added missing attachment preview meshes for Baguette breads.
- Fixed an exploit where holding a bowl filled with flour in the left off-hand caused collision issues that launched the player across the map.
- Fixed a bug where deleting a Mixer Machine while active left the mixing bowl permanently locked and floating in mid-air.
- Fixed a bug where Chicken Skewers had a chance to keep cooking while the player held them and ran around.
- Investigated and resolved underlying issues regarding Whole Chicken interactions.
- Fixed a physics bug that caused items to stick to small restaurant's ceiling.
- Fixed building constraints to allow furniture placement directly on top of carpets.
- Fixed "Money Burner" achievement not progressing as intended.
Saves & Performance Fixes:
- Resolved long loading screen hang-ups encountered when transitioning to the Master Boss fight with large save files.
- Fixed save file overwriting loops and save name input display errors.
- Fixed a critical game startup error for PC users whose Windows usernames contained special localized characters, which previously blocked the game from reading configuration folders.
- Fixed a bug that broke legacy counter configurations when loading old save files inside the Bakery.
- Fixed various background errors logged during normal gameplay.
UI, Recipe Menu & Gamepad Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where opening the Cake recipe through recipe list redirected the player to the Ribeye recipe guide instead.
- Fixed an issue where opening the guidebook for any recipe that had a connected recipe default-loaded the Ribeye Slice guide.
- Fixed a bug where the mouse cursor remained locked in the center of the screen during gamepad menu navigation.
- Fixed a UI highlight loop in the Bakery options screen when using a controller.
- Fixed a controller layout conflict where pressing D-pad Down to change recipes inside the bottom-left menu inadvertently opened the Emotes Wheel.
- Fixed a controller constraint in the Bakery where pressing D-pad Down adjusted tablet sub-menus instead of text font configurations.
- Fixed a recipe error where Fruit Salad not requiring strawberries.

Patch Notes:

Gameplay & Interaction Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where closing the tablet with the TAB key during the tutorial call task would break the objective.
- Increased collider heights for Heart Cookie and Ravioli so they can now be picked up from plates properly.
- Fixed an issue where customers would freeze when picking up food from the counter.
- Disabled interactions with the Steam NPC girl while any other mission is active.
- Fixed an issue where Gourmet Tony would freeze and not leave his seat after eating and liking the food.
- Enabled the ability to open doors while in Edit Mode.
- Fixed a hair visual clipping issue with the red fez.
Multiplayer & Sync Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where players who weren't playing Blackjack still received win/lose notifications.

As we share our excitement of delivering months of work with you, we wanted to post one more community update about the news in 1.0 version.

You can think of this as a last episode of our "3 new things" series. After we start 1.0 beta, we had some amazing feedbacks from our community. We have been still making some changes after the beta got released.

As a part of these changes, many of you requested that cats should be doing more cat stuff... Like beign cute!

So we've changed the way our cats look and the way they behave as well! Now you only need to pat them and give them some love, also some food.

🏆 Final Challenge

We finally face Master! Our campaign adventure has finally come to an end with a grand final scene! After dealing with all the gourmands in the campaign mode, you got Master's total attention!

He challenges you in a final cook show, a final run that will put an end to this adventure for all!

Be aware of the lava, and try not to step up! Naturally...

But don't worry, regardless of the outcome you will continue your sandbox progression same as before. Maybe with more in your inventory...

🍃New Difficulty: Chill Mode (Easy)

There are two types of restaurant owners: those who want to prepare their food in peace, and those who prefer the hustle and bustle of a chaotic kitchen.

If you’re a chef in the first group, I have some great news for you! We have a new difficulty mode that lets you cook at your own pace and in peace.

This new difficulty mode eliminates the worry of running out of food. You will only need to cook every item in your menu once a day and just serve them. They won't be running out until the end of the day. Just cook, serve and let customers enjoy your food!

⚙️Hard Mode Reworked

We’ve received feedback from many players that it becomes very difficult to keep up with the game’s pace as they progress through the game on the hard difficulty level.

To address this issue, we’ve made some adjustments in this difficulty mode. We’ve also added a new feature.

You can now mark the dishes you’ve prepared so that the waiters automatically bring them to the tables!

We hope this changes will satisfy our players who enjoy the hard difficulty gameplay.

🎴 Trading Cards!

Time to get some Kebab Chefs cards! With 1.0 release, you will be able to drop Steam trading cards. If you manage to collect all cards and craft them together, you will receive awards such as Steam profile backgrounds and emotes. and a shiny badge!

Alright, let’s get into today’s 3 new things!

1. 🎉 FESTIVALS

In the recent posts, we talked about the new Seasons and Calendar System coming to the game. Now, we’re excited to reveal that each season will also include its own special Festival Day!

On a specific day of every season, your town will host a festival themed around that season. These festivals will bring a completely new activity to enjoy: festival minigames.

Each festival will feature its own unique minigame where you can compete with your friends in multiplayer or challenge AI opponents if you're playing solo. Beware that they are pretty competitive 👀

By participating in these festival games, you’ll earn a special festival currency. You can then spend this currency in that festival’s exclusive shop to unlock unique themed furniture, decorations, and clothing items.

Festivals are designed to make the world feel more alive while giving players side activities and rewarding collectibles throughout the gameplay.

Also in the festivals, you will have your own stand at the food court to offer people your dishes!

2. 🍣 ASIAN CUISINE

Our kitchen is getting even bigger with the arrival of Asian Cuisine!

These new recipes will be unlocked together with Gourmet Daigo, opening the door to an entirely new culinary direction for your restaurant.

You’ll gain access to a wide variety of sushi recipes, delicious seafood dishes, and of course… ramen.

Making sushi will involve a special hands-on process. You’ll place the required ingredients and complete a small bamboo mat minigame to prepare the perfect roll.

And for ramen lovers, don't worry, we're not using ready noodles. You’ll be able to produce your very own fresh noodles before cooking your ramen dishes!

3. 💾 MANUAL SAVE FEATURE

One of the most requested features from the community is finally here: Manual Save!

Until now, the game would only save automatically at the end of each day. While this worked for many players, we know a lot of you wanted more control over your progress.

With 1.0, you’ll now be able to create a manual save directly from the ESC menu, whenever you want.

This gives you much more flexibility and makes it easier to manage your restaurant exactly the way you prefer.

Welcome to the second part of the new series we've started recently. If you're new to it and you're wondering about Kebab Chefs 1.0, I highly recommend you to check the recent post where we shared another set of random new additions to the full version of the game!

News shared in these series are randomly picked and may vary from some big feature changes to just some visual improvements.

Alright then, let's dive in!

1. 🍂 SEASONS

We’re introducing a full seasons system, bringing four distinct seasons into each in-game year. Each season will visually transform the map and environment, giving your neighborhood a fresh look throughout your journey.

Along with this, a calendar system will be added, allowing you to keep track of the current day and season, helping you plan ahead as your restaurant grows.

Seasons will also have an impact on ingredient prices. Fruits and vegetables will become seasonal, meaning they’ll either non reachable or differently priced during certain times of the year.

This system is designed to make the game world feel more dynamic and alive, while also adding a new layer of strategy to how you manage your kitchen.

2. 🐱 BEWARE OF THE CATS!

Your restaurant is about to get some… uninvited guests.

We will be having a new gang in town, Cats! Cats can now randomly visit your restaurant. While they may look cute at first, don’t let your guard down! These little friends might cause you and your business some trouble!

3. 🐟 SEAFOOD

Expanding our rich menu further with the addition of seafood in 1.0!

You’ll now be able to work with a variety of new ingredients such as tuna, eel, shrimp, and more. These additions are closely tied to the Asian cuisine progression, giving you access to new recipes and cooking styles once unlocked.

Seafood brings new preparation methods, flavors, and challenges to your kitchen, letting you explore a different side of cooking beyond the traditional menu.

And no... You can't put them in slicing device. They need to be skinned carefully first. Seafood is no joke!

As we move closer to the 1.0 release of Kebab Chefs, we wanted to start a new series of posts called "3 New Things Untill 1.0" where we mention 3 randomly picked new features or changes you'll be seeing in the full release. Some of them are big, while some are just about visual improvements.

Point of this series will be to keep you updated with the overall progress of the game and the efforts that our team have been putting to perfectionize the Kebab Chefs experience!

We're starting with something that our players were curious and actually concerned about.

1. ⚙️CO-OP OVERHAUL

After we've posted the 1.0 reveal trailer, many players were asking about our efforts about overall improvements on multiplayer experience. However, one of the big parts of our work on 1.0 has been something that isn’t visible at first glance: co-op overhaul!

Over the past months, we have spent a significant amount of time restructuring and improving core systems in the game. One of the main focuses of this work has been the multiplayer experience.

Since Kebab Chefs is heavily enjoyed in multiplayer, we wanted to make sure that the foundation of the game is much stronger going into version 1.0. To achieve this, we made a number of changes to the networking and synchronization systems that power co-op gameplay.

These improvements aim to make multiplayer smoother, more stable, and less prone to desync issues. While this kind of work is mostly invisible compared to new recipes or mechanics, it plays a huge role in making the overall experience better for everyone.

Another significant change with this overhaul will be that Kebab Chefs multiplayer will now relay on P2P connection, instead of cloud servers, which were making things complicated for a significant amount of our players.

2. 👨‍🍳NEW GOURMET: DAIGO

Meet Daigo, a brand new gourmet who will bring a completely new culinary direction to your restaurant.

Once you successfully impress Daigo, you will gain access to Asian cuisine and seafood recipes, expanding your menu with a variety of new dishes and ingredients. These recipes introduce new flavors and cooking styles that will allow you to experiment with different culinary traditions.

This addition is part of our goal to make the late game progression more rewarding, giving players exciting new content to unlock as they continue their journey.

3. 🛒STORES REWORK

And our final change for today is a visual refresh of the shop interiors and also to their buildings as well. Now, our neighborhood has more appealing stores with far more consistent layouts.

Sorry for not being able to post a Christmas update this time since our team is being overwhelmed with full release preps!

FULL RELEASE ON THE HORIZON!

We're currently working for the full release of Kebab Chefs! That means our next update probably will be the 1.0 update which will be a huge one!

It's been almost 2 years since Kebab Chefs!'s Early Access release and now we're so close to having the full version! It all couldn't be possible without your support and interest in our game. Thank you very much!

Stay tuned for 19th January for some new teaser new with Kebab Chefs 1.0! Which is the anniversary for 2nd year of enjoying kebabs!

Also, I've came with a brief FAQ session covering the questions you've been wondering about and what to expect from the full release!

FAQ

- When is the full release?

In the first half of 2026! Keep following for the exact date as we will announce it soon!

- What about the Seasons and Q4 update of 2025?

No worries at all! They will be ALL included in the full release with some minor exceptions. We wanted to save best part for the last! And we preferred to include them in a version that is even more stable!

- Will there be more fixes and stability improvements with 1.0?

Yes! And actually that's one of the reasons why we wanted to postpone the Q4 update and include it with the full release. We wanted to work on the improvements first then finish the content updates. We will make sure that we have a very stabilized version before posting it to live.

- Are there new recipes to cook?

Of course, as always! As you may know, Kebab Chefs already has quite a lot of recipes available. So the recipes upcoming with Asian Cuisine & Seafood Update will be the last set of recipes added to base game.

- Are we finally facing the Master?

Exactly! Master will be unlocked with the full release update and will be challenging you in his own way. Which will mean the end of the main storyline as well. However, your sandbox journey will keep going on. Ending the main campaign means unlocking pretty much every content in the game.

- Can we expect new updates after 1.0?

Yes! More playable content will keep coming after the full release as Free Updates, DLCs and Theme Packs!
