Other Level Changes
- The old Threshold, hallways, and Library are back, replacing the Thornhaven threshold/library — lightened up with some texture swaps to look better without losing the nostalgia and old feel. The Threshold halls lead back to the Provenance, the Pits, Grandma's Market, and the Library.
- Thornhaven Threshold (the whole ring), Woodland Forest, and The Kingdom are now all reached through the Ancient Gate. All other references to Thornhaven were removed from the city.
- Icebound is still through Woodland Forest, with a second entrance added for easier access — through Wishbringer's Palace. It also received texture updates using the new level-editor textures.
- Tropical Rainforest is still through Woodland Forest, with a second entrance added for easier access — through Alder's new room via Harrow Glades.
- Provenance portals were rerouted and now map back the way they used to.
- Outer Basin has been remapped and rerouted to make it less confusing.
- The entrance to the Chaos Kingdom was moved from the Acropolis to the Ancient Gate.
- The Vortex in Thresh Caves was moved to The Basin.
- Fixed portals to houses/planes in Thornhaven Threshold; Woodland Threshway portals to other planes are turned off.
- Trinity facade update — texture swaps, new water, and a lighter look. Both side rooms have the new water as well.
- Connected the Lambent and Dreamwalkers control panels.
- Frogs and lily pads were added to several rooms in Lambent.
- The Circus received some minor updates.
- Dreamers Cup Arena texture updates.
✨ New Features
Koi Cryptic has been super busy working on these — some brand new, some you'll recognize from Shades of Truth.
Energy Stone
Every dreamer now has a permanent Energy Stone that banks essence strength. Getting collapsed taxes it — you lose 10–30% of its strength via a dropped Essence Node, along with your dreamer essence and an item from your inventory.
The Stone keeps a record of the basic essence types you feed it (Emphant, Bogrom, Agoknight, Shamblix, Horron). It does not differentiate player mare or darkmare essences — don't absorb those if you want them for missions later.
Chaos Well is now used to extract both strength and specific essence types. Need 15 Horron essences for a mission? Extract them and Chaos Well creates a "Horron Well" holding exactly those 15, ready to turn in.
Reclaim & Corrupt Essence
- New Reclaim art and new Corrupted Shard item: use Corrupt Essence on a dreamer essence to form a Corrupted Shard, then use Reclaim on the Shard to gain XP based on the sphere of the dreamer the essence belonged to. Recover your own head to win back some lost XP — or farm heads after a battle for yourself. Dreamer essences finally have a purpose.
- Reclaim is a Dreamsoul art, learnable at Orbit 10, costing 5 Dreamsoul to evoke. Will be an oracle up to plateau 30 after the patch.
- Corrupt Essence is now also a Dreamsoul art, learnable at Orbit 10, costing 5 Dreamsoul to evoke. Will be an oracle up to plateau 30 after the patch.
Art Status Icons
The status icons from Shades of Truth are back, living in the top-left corner of the game window. Each icon shows an effect currently active on your avatar — hover over one for a timer of how long remains. Arts with icons so far:
Vision • Resist Fear • Protection • Free Action • Sable Shield • Chamele • Invisibility • Shadow Step • Sprint • Deafen • Stagger • Earthquake • Dazzle • Scare • Terror • Poison • Poison Cloud • Curse • Blind • Darkness • Radiant Blaze • Recall • Nightmare Form • Blend • Meditation • Return • Mind Blank • Entrancement • Soul Shield • Reflect • Chaotic Vortex • Enfeeblement
Mission Pack
A separate 200-slot inventory tab just for quest/mission reward collectibles, so they don't crowd your main pack. Items can be identified for an Insight cost. Unused collectibles expire after 14 days — expired items are destroyed when you next open your Mission Pack, with a notification telling you what was removed. Picking up an already-expired mission item notifies you too.
GM Features
GMs can now summon any lost dreamer to another player, a location, or themselves — no need to share a room. For roleplay events, entire groups can be summoned at once.
Level Editor
A new, workable Level Editor with around 200 new textures — many already in use across this update.
🔧 Changes
- Pack space increased from 75 items to 100.
- Room & Vault capacity — the maximum items any room (including Personal Vaults) can hold was raised from 64 to 100.
- Arts List Rearranging — drag-and-drop your Arts list into your preferred order, or sort A–Z / Z–A. Your custom order persists across logins.
- Translocate is now a Birth Art (was Orbit 30), and its cost dropped from 20 to 5 Dreamsoul.
- Personal Vault is now a Birth Art, with its cost lowered from 15 to 5 Dreamsoul.
⚖️ Balance & Fixes
Party XP Exploit Fix
Closed an exploit where two dreamers in the same party could take turns collapsing each other for free XP. Collapsing (or being collapsed by) a party member now always has a real cost.
Hearing Distance Cap Removed
Normal speech is now heard clearly by everyone in the room, regardless of distance — no more "muffled voices" for standing too far away. Whisper privacy is unaffected; you'll still notice two people whispering if you're close enough, exactly as before.
Judgment & Sphere Mastery
Judgment now includes a sphere-mastery eligibility scan, letting player Master Teachers (Train Self required for the check to work) verify a dreamer's eligibility themselves — no more waiting on a GM Master Teacher for mastery spheres.
With the check in place, any Master Teacher granting a sphere is assumed to have used it and is responsible for non-compliant grants. Note in your sphere quest codex that the grant is from sphere mastery. Granting spheres without checking eligibility will cost you your Train Self.
