Hi everyone!
As some of you might have noticed, the DwarfHeim demo was released on steam recently, and quickly removed soon after.
We felt the steam demo wasn't ready for the public and not what we wanted your first experience of DwarfHeim to be. DwarfHeim is designed around co-op classes and multiplayer. We felt the demo didn't do a good enough job of showing you how well the classes work together and the fun when you get the cohesion between classes going in full swing!
The reason for this we decided to pull the DwarfHeim demo and by extension pull DwarfHeim out of the steam festival. Even though it would give Dwarfheim a lot of attention, we didn't want to give you the wrong impression of the game.
Since it was released by valve anyway, we noticed that a lot of you who managed to download and play the demo and you seem to have enjoyed it!
As you've all asked so nicely and some people felt they were missing out, we've since asked Valve to make the demo available for you again!
Since it was first released, some have commented on issues with difficulty, UI, and not having a tutorial. These were some of the things we noticed too and was among the reasons we decided to pull the demo. Rest assured we are both aware and working on these elements to ensure DwarfHeim is the challenging detailed and (most importantly) fun expereince for those who enjoy playing solo.
If you want to see how DwarfHeim is really meant to be played, and why we call it the next generation of RTS don't hesitate to join our Discord and sign-up for the multiplayer co-op beta happening THIS FRIDAY!

I hope to see you all there on Friday when the multiplayer beta kicks off again!
Love
Aech
