Hello, Interns!
Long time no see! We've been super focused on developing Time to Morp and wanted to give you an update on what we’re working on. We’d love to hear your feedback so we can make sure we’re on the right track and make any needed changes before the full release. Let’s dive into today’s topic!
New UI
The biggest feedback we’ve gotten so far is about the inconvenience of the UI in Time to Morp. The current UI has been around since the beginning, and while the game’s mechanics and other elements have changed a lot, we didn’t update the UI to keep up with those changes. So now, we’re completely reworking it to better fit the game’s new mechanics and improvements

Planned Improvements
New: Quest Log
Say goodbye to the overwhelming list of quests on the side of the screen! You'll now be able to manage everything in a clean, organized quest log, making it much easier to keep track of your progress

New: Journal
Previously known as a Morp-Wiki, but now new and shiny! We'll be adding more categories and expanding the information under each entry. Plus, a search bar will be included for faster access, making it much easier to find exactly what you need

Cozy colors
As you noticed, we're changing the UI colors from a cold, industrial look to warmer, friendlier tones that better fit the theme of the game. It should feel much more inviting and in tune with the overall vibe

Streamlining UI
When we first started development, we only planned for a few features, but we ended up adding way more than we expected. To make things more convenient, we’re introducing new functionality and/or removing unused buttons to streamline everything and keep the UI clean and user-friendly

Redesigned action bar icons
The icons will be much more recognizable after the redesign. We want players to instantly know which buttons to press without having to squint or search the screen—making gameplay smoother and more intuitive
Rework of tooltips
We'll be removing unnecessary information from tooltips to avoid UI clutter, and eliminating tooltips from areas where they aren’t needed. This will help keep the interface clean and focused
Overall style improvement
Some of the UIs were created at different stages of development, which is why they may feel inconsistent in style. We're fixing that to ensure everything has a cohesive look and feel throughout the game

Improved controller support
UI layouts will be updated, and soon, you’ll be able to kick back and relax with your controller in hand, no matter what part of the game you’re in
