ALL RISE!
Update v18.0.0 is here which means it’s time for a brand new Crewmate role that’ll shake up your next meeting! Read on to get all judge-y and see what else is in the update.
We Listen And We Don’t Judge
We’ve all wanted to have that final say in an Emergency Meeting – especially when you can’t trust anyone’s alibi. Votes aren’t in your favor? Convinced you know who it is? This is the perfect moment for the Judge:
Use your new Overrule ability to eject a Crewmate of your choice. It doesn’t matter if everyone else skipped voting or chose a different Crewmate.
Be careful! If you use your Overrule ability on someone who doesn’t turn out to be the Impostor, YOU’RE the one who gets ejected.
Complete tasks quickly to unlock the ability. Better make sure it’s ready for the next Emergency Meeting!
You can change the amount of tasks needed to activate the ability in the Role Settings on the Dropship.
This is a powerful ability, so use it wisely. Overrule can only be used once per game!
What happens if there's more than one Judge in a game and they use Overrule at the same time? Good question! In this case, the Judge who used their ability first gets it. All other Judges will be "refunded" and get to use their Overrule in another Emergency Meeting.
If you want more tips from the team, make sure you watch the full Judge trailer. Otherwise, that’s all there is to it so grab your gavel and powdered wig! Court is in session!
Along with the arrival of the Judge we have a couple quality of life updates for you:
We added a new Match Info Guide so you can check the players, roles, and settings chosen for the game. Maybe this will help you find the lie in someone’s alibi?
The Detective’s Interrogate ability now has a cooldown after Emergency Meetings. Giving suspects a little time to escape the super sleuths will add a bit more tension and balance the Detective.
If you have any trouble with this update, remember to send a ticket to our helpesk. Before you run off to grab your judge robes, let’s take a peak at some fanart!
One of my favorite parts about these devlogs is finding and sharing the amazing artwork you make. Since the release of the Among Us Show and the announcement of Among Us Story: On Guard you’ve been busy churning out so many great creations! Let’s check out some of them now.
First up is this piece from Lotostar on Twitter! They captured this moment between Guard and Engineer perfectly. Not sure that’s the best use of coffee beans but it definitely worked in this case.
Our second piece of art is from Rover on Twitter. They happen to be another Purple enjoyer (and who can blame them?). They did a wonderful job of taking the classic Crewmate shapes and styling them in a new way. I’m a big fan of how Chef looks.
This next piece from hypernov4 on Twitter is really giving that brooding investigative vibe. There's nothing like a Guard in the rain. I can hear the saxophones already.
Let’s give a big hand to these creators! If you want to show us your work, be sure to tag us on our socials: Twitter, Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Off to get my Judge wig,
Dors
