First, I would like to express sincere gratitude for all players who supports the game in the early stages of development. Basing of your feedback and ideas, I am going to rework the most important game system: economy and logistics. In a few weeks, you will get a test 0.3 version on the Experimental branch.
The main goal is to make game more complex and engaging, to raise replayability sky-high.
What will change:
- The cost of hyper jump will increase x100 times.
- Colonies will have constant (but upgradable) demand for 4 item types, depending on the sector quality. Once you built a production chain, it will bring you income forever.
- Stations will be interconnected with teleportation relays, able to sustain up to 10 resource flows.
- Only neighboring stations can be connected with teleportation relays.
- Trade hubs will be used to teleport raw ores & liquids from a planet and sell finished products to it.
- Instead of building standard stations from blueprints, you will be building a unique station in each sector, considering local demand and supply. In fact, you will be building one huge space station across the whole sector of the galaxy, solving a giant logistic puzzle with hundreds of live, visual resource flows.
To assist you in that:
- Instant building will be available (at x2 cost comparing to robot construction).
- A modules library will be added. You will be able to design a specialized area of station or ship, to paste it to another blueprint or a live object.
All these changes will be moved to the main branch only if the build gets positive feedback from the community.
ETA: 2-3 months, may be more (much earlier on the Experimental branch).
