Introducing the Legionnaire, an enraged spirit haunting the armor it wore while alive!
This new threat will appear in the levels leading up to the Wizard and provide a serious challenge when combined with enemies like the abominable.
Being a melee fighter, the Legionnaire relies on his ability to cast a shield around himself which deflects all ranged damaged (potions and effects will still get through) in order to close the gap. Shooting the shield will not hurt the Legionnaire directly, so this is the best time to run away instead of engaging them.
Their shield can be a real problem when encountering multiple enemies as it will protect anything behind them as well as themselves.
If the Legionnaire manages to catch up to you he will wind up and swing his swords in a straight line. It is possible to avoid this with a well timed side step.
The legionnaire is considered a rare spawn enemy (1-10%) along with the Lizard-kin, Exploding Golem and Demon Body.
