Fan's reactions
- “I absolutely loved it, I can honestly say it is a unique RPG. It makes me extremely happy to play it!”
- "It was pretty good, I like the graphics and the gameplay was very interesting. It had a very strategic feel”
- “The art style is really interesting. I like the darkness. It’s great being worried about where you move. Every movement is critical and might attract a spore a little bit more, help you find something, or even do I get out of here alive! It was really challenging”
- “I like the artwork and aesthetics that is what usually draws me into the game. As I watched it yesterday it really excited me as a turn-based strategy. So today I made it a priority to come by the booth and play first thing.”
Media's reactions
- Marooner’s Rock honored MISTOVER with "Writer's Choice Award" and ‘Best of Show’ at PAX EAST 2019. (A round of applause!!)
- Game Informer editor Daniel Tack also had a chance to try out MISTOVER and had this to say: “I went hands-on with the roguelike tactical RPG Mistover. In a nutshell, it's like what would happen if Darkest Dungeon and Etrian Odyssey had a baby. An anime baby. Featuring a cool cast of characters including witches and grim reapers, the stylized combat loaded with tough choices is the highlight of the experience.”
- Blogcritics mentioned that “The art style is very similar to Darkest Dungeon, as is the dark scope of the project, but the rest is a very different experience...At the surface, I took this as a pure Darkest Dungeon clone, but developer Bluehole has brought a lot of depth and originality to Mistover.”
- Nindie Spotlight (Article 1, Article 2) articles,,
- You can also find interviews at SwitchRPGcom and Nintendo Dual Screens
The Aimo team has a lot more in store in the coming months and is looking forward to showing off more of the game, its systems, and features as it makes its way to release.
Thank you so much!
