Kalpel!
Well that was possibly the most intense few months of my life...
I've been reading every comment and review, and it's been interesting seeing how people have perceived this. I really appreciate people sharing their views and opinions too - it would worry me if I didn't get any criticism at all. I'd really like to state something though, which I hope everyone understands:
NYKRA is my first ever 'big' full game, and the path was random and unplanned. During this time I had to learn everything on the fly, which means NYKRA still has code and art from when I was a beginner. So it's hard to know how to feel reading people's opinions on things because I'm right here with you. I'm looking at past me going "... Why did you do it like that?". But, you see that's where I'm going with this. Even if NYKRA's story is not exactly what I'd want today, it's exactly what 15 year-old me wanted. And recently I realised this. I'm embarrassed at how it released, but I'm proud that I managed to stay true to the source material.
Either way, I'm very grateful for everyone who likes NYKRA for what it is, and in some ways what it isn't too.
I just can't wait to use all I now know to make something new. I found that I really enjoy making tools than tools in some ways, and I've always wanted to make my own pixelart editor. Follow me on GitHub if you'd like to chime in: https://github.com/ENDESGA
