New
Rewrite AI smoke grenade handling: - Smoke between you and them blocks their view and aim - If you are inside smoke, you get a concealment bonus (harder to detect and hit) - It's not a perfect shield, they can still shoot at you! Just like a human would. - Enemies won't blindly walk through smoke, unless they have no other path. They treat it as 'danger zone'. - It's still an approximation with a spherical volume and not some pixel perfect simulation, so expect situations where you can see them through the smoke and they can't - (also worth noting that flashbangs also apply a disoriented/suppressed effect to NPCs; they don't have clear visuals/animation communicating the state, so it may still feel ineffective)
Add a 'reduce camera shaking' to Gameplay Options - it'll reduce (but not eliminate) the shaking wobbling sprinting. Our camera movement is tied to animations, so it's difficult to completely eliminate the shaking, but looking into what further options we have.
Edits & Tweaks
Allow playing emotes while seated in helicopter, so that you can politely greet opposing teams
Make emote wheel a bit more responsive to by adding a rotating arrow. Hold middle mouse to bring up the emote wheel if you haven't noticed it before!
Helicopter markers are only visible for friendly teams (you can still see NPC helis)
Add a soft beep to the intel notebook when it's dropped on ground
Fix AI visibility issues on chainlink fences which had a cloth/tarp covering them: AI was seeing through them since chainlink fences usually aren't visibility blockers.
Expand shell casing impact sounds to more surface types, they were often silent
Ops: change hostage rescue to use the safe house vicinity instead of safe house landing zone to check for safety reached, just bring them close to a safehouse.
Add a tooltip to loadout limit arrows so it's obvious which team they belong to without relying on color
Update loadout editor in main menu/solo play screen; equipment and appearance are more clearly on separate tabs. This is work in progress as part of the economy rework.
Fixes
Kill report didn't always show the latest kill reason
Block GPS while seated in heli (not an allowed action, but a keybind hint was coming up and the ability was active)
Error when dropping grenades from a helicopter because you have no equipped weapon - originally unintended but not fixing it as it's fun, drop some smoke on your LZ
NPCs in wandering NPC benchmark were not wandering! (missing navigation mesh)
Don't allow editing attachments on locked/disallowed loadout items
Known Issues
AI vision penalty at nighttime is a bit too severe, you can sometimes get very close to them
