Conqueror's Blade's brand-new unit—the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry—is about to charge onto the battlefield.

They are no ordinary heavy cavalry. Within the Cao Cao's army, they were the sharpest, swifthound, and most dangerous blade, an elite shock cavalry that struck fear into the hearts of their enemies.

What is the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry?

Historical records state that the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry were "the most valiant and elite in the realm." This force was never made up of ordinary riders; they were the absolute elite, handpicked from the bravest warriors in the army.

Therefore, when designing the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry, we focused on three keywords:

Elite, Raiding, and Hunting.

They should act like a black blade hurled at the enemy's weak points—flanking the battlefield, tearing the frontline apart, cutting off retreats, and peeling away before the enemy can encircle them.

Battlefield Positioning Overview

Many Warlords might think the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry look similar to the heavy cavalry already in the game. We understand this concern—but this time, combining historical facts, we have specifically designed their skills and characteristics so they can carve out their own unique rhythm on the battlefield.

Take the Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry for example. Like the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry, the Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry possess charging characteristics, but their designs are completely different.

The Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry relies on high-speed thrusts straight into the enemy formation. Through crowd-control immunity, they close the distance to deliver continuous attacks, prioritizing long-distance piercing, mass-slaughtering, and continuous suppression.

The Tiger and Leopard Cavalry, however, emphasize a "roaming" feel: relying on charges, hunting, and breaking encirclements, they constantly seek angles on the edge of the battlefield. They engage and disengage multiple times without getting bogged down in prolonged melee combat.

In real combat, the Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry is like a dagger plunged into the formation to repeatedly grind down the enemy's main force. The Tiger and Leopard Cavalry is a highly mobile elite hunting cavalry tasked with flanking, chasing down broken formations, disrupting the backline, and rapidly breaking out of traps.

Though both are cavalry, there is a clear distinction in their battlefield rhythm and tactical roles.

How do they trample enemy lines in Conqueror's Blade?

As a 5-star heavy shock cavalry, the core of the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry comes down to one word: "Charge."

They need you to plan the route in advance, slowly stacking up the power of the charge over a distance, before cutting into the enemy's flank, backline, or loose formations at the perfect moment.

Once the charge sets the rhythm, they can create sustained pressure through successive strikes. When the enemy tries to encircle them, they can use sweeping leaps to quickly disengage, turning around to find the next entry point.

This is the most unique aspect of this Unit: rather than a one-off burst cavalry that retreats after a single clash, the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry is a heavy roaming cavalry that repeatedly weaves through the battlefield. They can chase, crash, break encirclements, and regain their distance amidst the chaos.

If the White Plume Guards represent the will to "yield not an inch of ground," the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry represents the momentum of "hunting down prey."

The mechanics previewed below are subject to change, as the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry are still undergoing testing and tuning. For exact values, durations, trigger conditions, and final effects, please refer to future official release notes.

Unit Traits

Warlords Rising

During the "Three Kingdoms - Warlords Rising" season, the Leadership required by the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry is reduced by 10 points.

Chargers

Speed is paramount in war, traveling three hundred miles a day.

After the initial acceleration phase of the charge ends, charge damage and charge speed increase by a set amount for every 1 second of charging, stacking up to 3 times.

Aspect of the Beast

The Tiger and Leopard Cavalry are the most valiant in the realm.

When casting skills, the riders command their horses to perform sweeps and leaps: the horse's impact can Knockdown enemy Units, while sweeping attacks can apply Knockback to swathes of enemies.

Fire-Resistant

Clad in Fire-Resistant armor, they are less susceptible to being ignited by fire compared to Units of the same tier.

Skill Previews

Predator Charge

Predator Charge is the most direct and representative offensive method of the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry.

They launch a charge toward the target point—this is a true long-distance raid. As the charge distance increases, they gradually enter a state of higher speed and greater impact.

In open terrain, the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry can build momentum from the edge of the enemy's vision, strike ranged Units from the flanks, or crash straight through engaging enemy forces via gaps in the frontline.

By the time the enemy realizes the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry have picked up speed, it is often too late to dodge the impact.

Leopard Hunt

If the first charge is about breaking the formation, then Leopard Hunt is the secondary lethal strike following a turnaround.

Upon activation, the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry will automatically lock onto enemies and initiate a charging attack.

In actual combat, Leopard Hunt is ideal for chasing down broken formations, suppressing ranged units, clearing isolated stragglers, and delivering the crucial final blow after allies have scattered the enemy lines.

Tiger Leap

The greatest fear for cavalry is never failing to charge in, but rather getting bogged down and surrounded once inside.

Tiger Leap is the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry's key tool to deal with encirclements. Upon activation, they immediately cleanse crowd-control effects, perform a sweeping attack toward the target direction, and leap their horses to rapidly move to a specified location.

This grants the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry a much larger margin for error. On narrow streets or the edges of points, the value of this skill becomes even more apparent—it serves as both an escape tool and a redirection tool for a secondary entry, ensuring they have the chance to create distance again even after making a high-risk engagement.

Unit Doctrines

Tiger and Leopard Cavalry - Ferocity

Effect Preview: Increases charge damage.

This Doctrine leans toward enhancing the core burst capability of the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry. If you want every long-distance entry to be more intimidating, tearing the enemy frontline apart on the very first contact, Ferocity makes for the most direct choice.

Tiger and Leopard Cavalry - Agility

Effect Preview: During Leopard Hunt, the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry continuously gain a damage reduction effect.

This Doctrine heavily enhances their hunting stability. When repeatedly crashing into the edges of enemy formations, the extra damage reduction helps them survive a little longer in complex battlefields, preventing them from being instantly melted by focus fire after their first entry.

Tiger and Leopard Cavalry - Fury

Effect Preview: Increases the damage of the horse's sweep and leap, and can send enemy Units flying.

This Doctrine focuses on enhancing their ability to break encirclements. When trapped, Fury allows the sweeping leap to deal higher damage while directly throwing obstructing enemy Units into the air, turning the tables on the ambushers.

Warlords, facing such fierce cavalry, how will you command them to tear the battlefield apart? Or, how do you plan to counter their sharp edge?
