Greetings, Magnates! It's time for another update on the progress of Hotel Magnate. In this fortnightly dispatch, we're diving into two topics: the latest developments in Day Guests and Groups, as well as a sneak peek at the upcoming disasters and consequences update. But that's not all – we've got a special treat for you, as we've just published an early version for public testing on Steam! So, grab your toolkit and let's explore what's in store.
Day Guests / Groups:
We're thrilled to announce that an early testing version of our guest groups is now available for public testing on Steam! While this iteration is packed with exciting features for Day Guests and Groups, there are still a few missing animations we're ironing out. We'd love to hear your feedback as you explore the new content and help us identify any lingering issues or bugs. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of Hotel Magnate, so don't hesitate to dive in and lend us your expertise! You can test it out on the experimental branch on Steam, instructions about how to access and participate in the testing are on our Discord
Below are some sneak peaks of the animations for Guest Couples (these are not yet in the testing version)
Disasters and Consequences Update:
As we delve into the realm of disasters and consequences, we're empowering players with greater control over room maintenance and cleanliness. With potential calamities like fires or rat infestations looming, it's crucial to ensure that players have the tools to mitigate these risks. That's why we're revamping the staff management system surrounding Cleaning and potentially maintenance, allowing you to dictate which rooms are cleaned, how often, and under what conditions. This level of granularity grants you unparalleled control over the upkeep of your hotel, ensuring that critical areas remain pristine and well-maintained. As we continue to fine-tune the design details of the disasters and consequences, we've decided to get working on the staff management changes in preparation. They are already well underway and if they are completed soon enough they may end up in their own mini-update before disasters and consequences.
Don't forget to join us on our Discord where you can chat with other fans and the devs or participate in testing for some of these things we have been working on! Or visit our voting/suggestion platform to vote on and suggest features.
