ONE WEEK TO GO.
On October 19th, Tube2K will officially be taking part in Steam Next Fest! 🚀
That means in just 7 days, you'll be able to jump into the world of Tube2K and experience what happens when you give someone the power to build a video-sharing platform in 2005.
And no, we haven't learned from history.
💻 Build Your Own Video Platform
Start with a computer, a dream and absolutely no idea what you're doing.
Build your platform.
Grow your audience.
Upgrade your algorithms.
Hire engineers.
Increase your advertising revenue.
And then watch everything slowly spiral out of control.
Because there's one small problem...
You control what the algorithm promotes.
🧠 How Much Is Growth Worth?
As Tube2K grows, you'll face decisions about what kind of content you allow onto your platform.
Some choices can make you more money.
Some can improve your platform's impact on humanity.
And some...
Well, let's just say the internet probably shouldn't have been given this much power.
Your decisions can affect Ad Revenue, Human Cognitive Ability and World Impact.
You decide what kind of platform Tube2K becomes.
Empower humanity.
Enslave humanity.
Or find somewhere extremely profitable in between.
🐱 The Internet Was A Mistake
Tube2K is a love letter to the weird, chaotic internet of the 2000s.
Expect:
💾 Windows XP-inspired nostalgia
📺 Classic internet video culture
🐱 Memes and ridiculous trends
💻 Questionable websites
🛠️ Completely unnecessary toolbars
📢 Annoying pop-ups
🧠 Algorithm upgrades
💰 Increasing advertising revenue
🌎 Decisions that might have consequences
If you spent your childhood watching 240p videos while your parents complained about the internet being slow...
This might be for you.
🚀 STEAM NEXT FEST — OCTOBER 19TH
The Tube2K demo will be available during Steam Next Fest, starting October 19th.
We're now just ONE WEEK AWAY.
This is a huge moment for the game, and I'm incredibly excited to see what players do when they're given control of their very own early-2000s video platform.
Will you build the greatest video platform the world has ever seen?
Or will you discover that brainrot is incredibly profitable?
There's only one way to find out.
