Notes:
New Mechanics: String Tuning & Assembly/Disassembly Management
You will now interact directly with the guitar and bass pegs to install and remove strings:
- Installing Strings: Right-clicking on a peg opens a context menu with the option "Install String" if no string is present.
- Removing Strings: Hover your mouse over a peg and use the scroll wheel to loosen the string completely. A sound effect will signal when the string is ready to be removed. A simple middle-click on the peg will then unmount it!
- Tuning: Selecting "Tune String" from the context menu brings up a tuner. Turn the pegs in the correct direction to reach the target pitch.
(A tutorial video will be published on the Accretion Games YouTube channel, and a dedicated category will be added to the game guide.)
Painting Station Updates
- New interface and new options in the Painting Station.
- Simplified use and removal of dye items (a translucent paint toggle is now available in the Painting Station interface).
- There is now only a single spray paint item required in the shop whenever you paint an item.
- No changes for varnish spray cans.
- Total color control via RGB sliders.
- Added a window listing real-life paint colors. Each color features a button to copy its hex code to your clipboard so you can paste it directly below the RGB sliders.
- Added skin compatibility for guitar and bass bodies. Templates will be uploaded to the Accretion Games website on a dedicated mods page. You will be able to download, edit, and create local mods with the option to share them on the Steam Workshop!
Note: A dedicated Painting Station category has been added to the in Game Guide with full explanations!
New Map
Set in an environment inspired by Nordic landscapes, this map features a dynamic weather system and moving traffic/vehicles (boats and planes).
The original map is currently undergoing a complete revamp and will be back in the coming days.
The complex weather system relies on pressure, temperature, and humidity parameters—these variables will play an active gameplay role in the future!
Additionally, the new building system connects directly to the environmental system. During rainfall, you will hear drops hitting the windows, gutters, and roof, with sound intensity matching the storm's severity. Perfect for a cozy, chill atmosphere while working on an instrument! A wood stove has also been added inside the workshop to enhance the cozy interior vibe.
Audio Overhaul & Sound Settings
I completely revamped the game's audio architecture—everything now runs on MetaSound, and the entire class-mixing system is complete.
New Volume Controls:
- NPC Voice volume slider
- Weather volume slider
- UI volume slider
Coming in the Next Few Days
- 3D cable cluster models for the Dusthorn and Nashcaster Classic models.
- New guitar and bass bodies.
- Work on the mask system (Painting Station) for guitar necks, along with new neck models.
- Re-release of the original map (Urban V2).
- Downloadable body texture templates on the Accretion Games website.
I really hope you enjoy this new update! Regular update schedule is now back on track—expect new updates every Wednesday!
Thank you for your support, and happy crafting!
