Hi there, we've received a several reports from the players that they've lost the progress after the update.
Actually, an unannounced software update for Project Rhombus was held in 7th December. We didn't post an announcement because the changes were too small, but the problem is that the new version has a different save directory than before.
Changing directory was intentional, but ignoring past records wasn't. We're sorry for that. We're not gonna change the save directory again and Steam Cloud Save feature is coming, so you don't have to worry about the progress lost in the future.
To restore the lost progress, please follow the descriptions below.
PRECAUTION: This will overwrite your current progress. If you already scored better results, don't follow the procedure below.
- 1. Navigate to "C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local". (Or simply type "%LocalAppData%" on your File Explorer window.)
- 2. Find folder "_2017_10_19" and open it.
- 3. Copy the file "save.dat".
- 4. Go back, and find "Project_Rhombus" this time. Open it.
- 5. Paste the file "save.dat". (If the system warns you for the file replacement, just press Replace.)
- 6. That's it! Your progress are back now.
P.S. Next update is coming in several hours, so please stay tuned! Don't worry; it'll never screw up your scores again.
