Online Multiplayer Update

The latest patch brings huge improvements to the gameplay and multiplayer experience. Online multiplayer has been redesigned from the ground up adding a new Lobby system, in-game Steam friend list support, connectivity and stability improvements. Check out the full change log below:

Changelog

Gameplay

  • Removed penalty for out of bounds and water hazard strokes.
  • Power bar has been improved by expanded length and added markers for more accuracy.
  • Slightly increased gravity.
  • Temporarily disabled announcer until production ready sound effects are added.
  • Improved follow camera smoothing during a shot.
  • Small fixes on some levels.

Online multiplayer

  • Online multiplayer has been reworked from the ground up switching from a peer-to-peer network architecture to a server-based one. This update should fix most connectivity issues and provide a much better online experience.
  • Added redesigned Lobby for online multiplayer game mode.
  • Added friend list and the ability to join your friend's private match more easily.
  • You can now give up a hole in the Pause menu during an online multiplayer match for +5 penalty points over par.
  • Ping is now visible for all players in a multiplayer match.
  • Stability improvements.

User interface

  • You can now access online multiplayer features from the main menu instead of the game mode selection menu.
  • Online region selector has been moved to Settings -> Network menu.
  • Added Local port selector to the Settings -> Network menu.
  • Added Vibration level slider to the Settings -> Controls menu to be able to control the vibration strength of your controller.
  • Small changes and typo fixes on the user interface.
