The future of your Moonstead is in your hands - literally!

As I've got older and life has become busier, I've found it harder to sit down and play games on a PC or console for hours at a time.

I'm a huge advocate for handheld gaming. My Steam Deck comes on every holiday with me, and when I'm at home it's usually in the busiest room of the house. Being able to pick it up for twenty minutes, put it down, and come back later has completely changed the way I play games.

With that in mind, it would feel wrong to develop Moonsteader without making the Steam Deck experience a priority.

From the very beginning I have been playtesting Moonsteader on both Steam Deck and with an Xbox controller. Controller support and handheld play won't be an afterthought—they are considered throughout development and will help shape the game as new features are added.

My goal is for switching between keyboard and mouse, a controller, and Steam Deck to feel as seamless as possible. No matter how you choose to play, I want the controls to feel intuitive, comfortable, and natural.

The aim is for Moonsteader to be fully playable on Steam Deck when it launches into Early Access, and I'll continue refining the experience throughout development.

Thank you for following Moonsteader's journey so far. I can't wait to share more updates with you over the coming months as the settlement continues to grow.

If you have not already done so, why not add Moonsteader to your wishlist?
