Hello everyone! This is an updated version of my previous announcement:
Mari and the Black Tower was my first completed game. Originally designed for Android in mind, I it released on Steam in October 2017, more than 6 years ago! How time flies...
To be honest, I've wanted to retire Mari for a long time, but I held off on it because two of my other games, Finding Light and Knight Eternal, are technically sequels, and retiring the first game could cause problems. That said, the gameplay and art styles are so radically different that I don't see this being an issue--plus I will probably be retiring its sequels later in 2024.
Anywho, as with Roguelite 2 and Roguelite 1 before it, Mari and the Black Tower will officially be retired from sale on Steam. The official retirement date is January 5. It will have a 72% discount up until its retirement.
The Android version, titled The Black Dungeon, will remain for sale at least for now. I'll make an announcement in the future if this changes.
I will also note that Mari and the Black Tower, alongside my other games besides Roguelite 1 and 2, will remain for sale on the jRPG website Aldorlea, albeit for much higher price tags due to Aldorlea's pricing model. I have no plans on ever removing my games from Aldorlea.
Happy holidays and have a great week!
