This long-awaited update brings BROKE PROTOCOL up to the latest Unity 6.6 release, modernizing and securing the game's engine.
With the engine upgrade, this release addresses some security concerns, including RCE vulnerabilities and updates to various libraries and packages. Security improvements include stricter sanitization of paths received from servers.
As a precaution against potential AI-driven attacks, Workshop plugin DLLs are no longer auto-loaded until further notice.
Other improvements and fixes:
- Fixed minor issues with voxel generation.
- Improved AI aiming behavior when using grenades.
- Updated underlying libraries and packages to their latest releases.
Looking Ahead
This upgrade finally brings BROKE PROTOCOL up to date with modern Unity versions and should make development and maintenance considerably easier going forward.
I hope to soon lift the current server restrictions, allowing all servers to appear on the server list again rather than limiting it to safe whitelisted servers.
And with a few helpful developers from the Discord community now helping on the game, I'm looking forward to getting back to working on future updates ːbpgrandpaː
