Legends of Eternalia Is Returning

Legends of Eternalia Is Returning

Years ago, I created a couple of small videogames set in Legends of Eternalia.

I made them largely for fun and to improve my programming skills. They were rough, limited, and very much the work of one person learning as he went, still some of you people bought or supported them.

I have never forgotten that.

More than ten years ago, I was writing the first Eternalia stories. The most important was The Essence Reaper Ritual, the book that established much of the history, characters, gods, cultures, and conflicts that later became the backbone of the entire universe.

It also had a problem.

I tried to explain everything.

The result was far too dense, almost an encyclopaedia disguised as a novel.

I am now rewriting The Essence Reaper Ritual chapter by chapter, preserving the characters, friendships, humour, difficult choices, redemption, mythology, and history that mattered—but allowing the story to breathe.

And this time I can do something I could only imagine back then.

Eternalia is no longer limited to text and a small homemade game.

I can now accompany the stories with cinematic videos, Shorts, music, character lore, visual worldbuilding, and an interconnected history spanning almost 4,000 years.

What Eternalia Has Become

The Anchor of Eternalia is already complete.

It takes place more than two thousand years after the ancient stories.

The gods have fallen silent. Magic has become myth. Vast corporations dominate the world.

Then the old powers begin returning.

So do the Lords of Entropy.

The sequel, The Gathering Storm, is now being published chapter by chapter.

There is also Fazza Briskyfingers: The F Rule, a much lighter entry into the setting, full of absurd military dark humour, goblins, dangerous inventions, terrible decisions, and impossible friendships in the depths beneath Eternalia.

The Visual Codex of Eternalia introduces the gods, characters, factions, cities, creatures, and history of the world.

And on the Legends of Eternalia YouTube channel, I am creating cinematic scenes, short stories, character introductions, and songs from different periods of Eternalia:

the Age of Gods,
the Age of Legends,
the long Silence,
and the Cyberpunk Age.

Some songs are imagined as ancient hymns or ballads. Others are modern interpretations from Eternalia’s later cultures.

There is much more coming.

In many ways, this is much closer to the Eternalia I wanted to share ten years ago but did not yet have the experience or tools to create.

If you were one of the people who played those early games, supported the old project, or simply remember Eternalia from those years: thank you.

You helped keep this world alive.
