Attention Generals!
We are counting down the last hours of the year and we would like to take a stroll on memory lane for what the year 2019 has brought to Call of War. It was packed with new events, features, units and updates.
We released seven new events like “1944: Endgame” or “Doomsday”, challenging you in almost any scenario you could think of, and brought Paratroopers to the game - an iconic unit that had been on the wishlist of the community for quite some time.
2019 also brought some adjustments and updates to Call of War, like the research balancing update, which made units available earlier in the game and allowed more players to see and work with the units the game has to offer.
All of those were great highlights in 2019 for Call of War, but we also saw adjustments this year which were discussed quite controversial within the community. Some of them we re-worked already like the trading restrictions between players that were introduced with the market overhaul. Others we are still working on and will be addressed in early 2020 like the updates made to fire control.
However, we also reached some epic milestones for the game this year. We announced Call of War 1.5 and held our first test event. We improved the unit positioning system and improved the enhanced graphics version with new colors. We implemented music and sound to the game, and started our graphical update of units, adding new visuals to existing units and adding missing, faction specific skins. Immersion has never been higher!
We have big plans for 2020 and will kick things off right after we all recovered from new years eve! Call of War 1.5 will be a big topic next year, adding new balancing, game mechanics and much more to the game. Before we release Call of War 1.5 the community will have the chance to test and share their feedback in several test events over the next months.
We wish you all a happy new year! We see you all in 2020 again!
