Today’s update addresses several critical issues that disrupted your gameplay. While the list is short, each change has a direct impact on combat encounters.
Bug Fixes
Stationary units no longer counterattack automatically in melee combat. Stationary units will no longer launch an automatic counterattack when engaged in melee combat by a hostile army.
Ranged Anti Air damage is now calculated correctly. Ranged Anti Air units no longer add damage from other units to their own attacks.
Improved compatibility with iOS 27. Terrain and units now render correctly on Apple devices running the upcoming iOS 27 release.
The Unit Card deploy screen now remains open on desktop. Fixed an issue that caused the Unit Card deploy screen to close randomly without player input.

The maintenance crews have been busy across every corner of the battlefield. Today’s Call of War update delivers a focused wave of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and visual polish to make your game experience more reliable.
Key changes include:
Terrain indicator icons now remain accurate, even during long play sessions, making it easier to read the battlefield and plan around terrain bonuses.
Stealth and scouting behavior has been improved, preventing hidden units from passing through defended province centers and ensuring Scout units reveal enemies correctly.
Nuclear detonations now apply their initial blast damage as intended, including damage to buildings and province morale within the blast radius.
The update also includes improvements to unit embarkation, naval AI behavior, in-game information, rocket animations, and several other areas.

Today’s release brings a round of fixes to improve battlefield clarity and close key loopholes in Call of War . This update targets long-standing issues around nuclear explosion visuals and an exploit involving stealth units. Nuclear blast animations now only appear when a strike
Today’s release brings a round of fixes to improve battlefield clarity and close key loopholes in Call of War. This update targets long-standing issues around nuclear explosion visuals and an exploit involving stealth units.
Nuclear blast animations now only appear when a strike actually lands - ending misleading “Fata Morgana” detonations.
Stealth units can no longer disengage from melee combat by changing fire control mode - closing a critical exploit.
Additional fixes - improve aircraft patrol behavior, ranged unit damage at max range, achievement progress, and mobile menu visuals.

This Call of War release brings sharper stealth combat behavior and a big wave of bug fixes.
From Snipers fading back into the shadows to Nukes and Peace Periods behaving more reliably, this update focuses on smoother, more consistent combat along the entire frontline.
Stealth units now reveal themselves more precisely: mixed stealth stacks only reveal the units that are actually attacking, and ranged stealth units are only visible for the duration of their attack.
Key gameplay bugs have been fixed: province center capture behavior, event map achievement progress, and army bar casualty statistics now work more reliably.
Nukes, fallout, Peace Periods, and stealth exploits were addressed

We’ve received an unusual transmission on the wire this morning. Reports indicate new heroes are preparing to deploy across the theatres of war - disciplined, determined, and unmistakably bovine.
Because when you’re fighting in CoW, sometimes the only logical step is to bring in the cavalry… with hooves.
Incoming Orders - Operation Moo-ve & Conquer
Field scouts describe a fresh wave of personnel arriving with unmatched morale and an unnerving calm under pressure. Infantry say the newcomers can turn the tide of the war with nothing but a look. Tank crews insist they heard triumphant mooing over the radio net. Naval officers have submitted a formal complaint after some of their destroyers steamed off in a maneuver they described as “herd mentality”.
We can’t confirm all the details yet. What we can confirm is that the battlefield has never been more… pasture-ready.
Meet The New Heroes
The herd is growing, and these names are already appearing in whispers across command chat.
General McCowthur - A strategic mind with an iron will and a stare that says: “In war, there is no substitute for hay.”
Sergeant Linda - A steady presence, a strict drillmaster, and the newest face of CoW morale.
Private Cowroy - The myth, the message, the hoofprint in the mud. If you know, you know.
These Heroes are calmly leading from HQ, mootivating your troops. They appear wherever chaos strikes. They are stern, steady and absolutely not impressed by your “just build one more Heavy Tank stack” plan.

Marines are not just another infantry unit. They are shock troops, pathfinders, and silent reapers. Use them wisely: a well-timed Marine insertion can change the tide of battle, but misuse them and you’ll just feed the enemy’s artillery. Like the Marines that took Iwo Jima and Peleliu - they demand courage, timing, and the right amount of grit.
A crash course to Marines
These aren’t your polite line-infantry. Marines fight brutal, messy battles, rarely caring for their own safety once momentum is gained. To them, blood and steel win the day.

Bridge-heads & Offensives: Marines are built for aggression - swift, decisive, and unforgiving. Use them to seize river crossings, invade hostile shores or to hold urban choke points. They are equipped to handle unarmored and light-armored quick reaction forces.

Surprise Attacks: Think amphibious raids and quiet insertions from a blind angle, whatever catches your opponent off-guard. Being on the offense is their strength, surprise is their ally. Keep pushing in-lands once you’ve established their bridgehead!

Semper Fi: A Marine is only as good as his battle buddy fighting next to him. Make sure to land with numbers - grit can only compensate so much against overwhelming enemy defense. This will protect your Marine platoons against enemy air and artillery, their natural counter.

Unit Stats and Progression
Marines are deployed via Unit Cards and come with three different levels - getting stronger as the battlefield evolves around them.

Level 1

Day of Availability: 1

Basic combat-ready Marines - perfect for early aggression.

Level 2

Day of Availability: 3

Upgraded while embarked - faster movement and greater protection against hostile ships.

Level 3

Day of Availability: 6

Stealth across all land terrain types - ideal for surprise assaults, ambushes, and covert insertions behind enemy lines.

Battle-hardened Marines - their defensive stats now match their offensive prowess, letting them dig in and hold the bridgehead until reinforcements arrive.
