Hey Portians!
We’ve had a lot community feedback relating to crashes since the last update. Thanks to the information and save files you have submitted, the team have been able to carry out some internal tests to find the cause of the crashes.
We’ve found the solution to the majority of crashes reported, but we’re still finalising the tests and fixes – this is where you come in! We’ve put an update out onto the open test branch on Steam, so if you’ve experienced a crash recently we’d invite you to switch to this branch and tell us whether you still experience this issue.
Please follow these steps to get onto the open test branch:
- Open Steam and right-click My Time At Portia in your library
- Select ‘Properties’
- Select the ‘BETAS’ tab
- From the dropdown menu, select ‘open_test – open test for player’
- Click ‘CLOSE’
The game will then update in your library and you’ll be on the open test branch.
Please note: After fixing the crash issues, the game may have a higher memory usage than before, so it could cause another crash! We’re not sure at what percentage of memory usage this will occur, so if you experience this – please let us know!
Any crashes or bugs can be reported right here on Steam, in the Report a Problem forum. Aside from crash fixes, we’ve made several more changes and improvements with this patch. Please see the full changelist below.
